I took Tanya's use of the term "turning people away" to mean that they had more customers than they could seat, rather than refusing to let customers thank the waitress with cards or gifts.

I think so too, TGIRecovered. I think the comments about Karen getting fired were vicious rumors by an ex-disgruntled employee. It really is too bad because it has probably flooded the resturant's email box with lots of unhappy mail.

I actually think (although I don't know) the restuarant is probably enjoying Karen's success to some extent and taking advantage of the additional business. If I lived in the area, I would visit, eat there and leave Karen a big tip....

I always try to remember that in most cases, the people involved (bosses, co-workers, friends) are people just like us and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I know there are bad guys too, but generally they have been busted and that's why we are talking about the case.

The information you received is false! Ms. Griggs was not fired for talking to the media. In fact she is working today, as I have confirmed via a telephone conversation with her...

All these years have passed and I wonder how these girls are? Have they gotten good therapy? How have they handled being passed over to a creep to go "camping" in miniskirts? We can only send good thoughts and prayers they have somehow come out of this survivors and no longer victims.

Meanwhile Lloyd? I don't want to call him Mr. Sherwood. A whole dang mess went down. His big deal at one point was to be on the "surveilance leash" back in Florida. Soooo he was at some point and can we guess? Broke parole. Around kids. Failed to disclose his offenses.

Court had witnesses one being his wife from the Phillipense who identified one of the little girls in pornographic photos. There was a 15 year old boy as a witness as well, and another man. Plus of course hundreds of obscene photographs of many different children.

Presently it appears he is in Georgia unless he died. But like I say "he may be dead, but those kids have to live with that forever. It makes my blood boil to hear someone say that as was said to me once "well he is dead now it's over". My reply? "Well I ain't and you KNEW and you ain't dead so uhh it's not OVER, but I'm a survivor.

Didn't get a chance to look up the heroic waitress. I will tomorrow. That woman has good karma coming her way. Also apologies for my own comments however, as some of us understand no matter those kids live with that. As for dad I believe it was a ring and he was in on it.
