Knife lodged in her head, woman jumps from window with her children to escape sexual assault

Police say Rodriguez Fogle was arrested at a Doraville RaceTrac after a sexual assault and stabbing at an East Point apartment.

East Point Police identified the suspect as Rodriguez Dewalt Fogle, 36, of Atlanta.

Holy **BEEP** No child should have to witness and go through that. Sounds like he's old enough to intervene so not like he didn't know what was going on. It's horrible.

When officers arrived, they found an adult woman suffering from severe head injuries, including a knife lodged in her head, the warrant states.

She told police she had been sexually assaulted and stabbed by Fogle, who is identified as a family member.

Investigators said the woman attempted to escape the attack by jumping from a window with her two small children.

A child inside the apartment later told investigators he woke up to the sound of a confrontation and witnessed Fogle stabbing the woman in the face, according to the warrant. The child reported being struck in the head while trying to intervene, suffering a bleeding laceration.

I read about this case the other day and couldn't bring myself to start a thread. Just horrific what those kids witnessed and amazing their mother is alive to tell LE anything.
