POTRERO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 38-year-old missing woman, Ganna Kovrizhynkh, who was driving through San Diego County as part of a cross-country road trip, according to authorities.

She also goes by the name Angel Volnaya, which led me to Instagram and TikTok accounts linked with this book below. I don’t know for sure it’s her, but the author was born in 1987, which would make her 38, same age as missing Ganna, so my hunch is it’s her. The book talks about a lot of new age spirituality (which isn’t very sensical to me, it’s seemingly self-published) and also about anticipating the End of Times.

I worry she has gone off in the desert (in July!) or crossed into Mexico seeking some sort of spiritual thing. This would be risky in the summer heat, but also for being taken advantage of if she was in a vulnerable state. All MOO.

Great find on the book! I saw the news report yesterday before this thread went up (I was finishing a chapter my publisher was waiting on so couldn't start one). I couldn't find any family or criminal court activity in Florida for her, where she lived, but did find the Instagram, which had pictures that clearly matched the msm reports. "New Age" is the genre of the book but in looking at Instagram, I could see undercurrents of other things, end of times, divergent courses with other religions. Her FB is more telling - (I'm not surprised by much, but the whole "online reincarnation experience" thing sort of threw me, especially after reading she believes she is a "prophet", but that's just my opinion).

I agree, I think she's on some sort of spiritual quest and may not be in the best frame of mind. Her weight for her height is also concerning, 100 pounds at 5 foot 5 isn't "Instagram Model thin", medically it's quite underweight. I'm afraid she might have been cleansing or fasting, and that in conjunction with high temps if she headed out into the Baja area, are more concerning.

She's a beautiful young woman, if vulnerable, mentally or physically, she's at risk. I hope she hears of the concerns for her and contacts friends.

On 07/05/2025, Kovrizhnykh's mother received a photograph of a letter along with GPS coordinates from Potrero, California. The letter essentially provided instruction to give her personal assets to her mother. On 07/12/2025, Kovrizhnykh's Jeep Grand Cherokee and camper trailer were found apparently abandoned near the 25000 block of Potrero Park Drive.

It was less than 2 miles from the border, so I'd be leaning that way. Baja's not far.

I found out about this case this morning have a basic overview and timeline stats. I’m going to review the thread and see if fresh eyes can help with this case… I believe she is very connected with her mother, too connected to disappear or not make contact within the timeline missing.
