For anyone who was at court, how was GBC's demeanour during his tale? Was his tone " a little bit hurt?"

With regards to how the blood got into the rear of the car I have a theory which probably won't sit well with some but I'll put it out there as food for thought anyway. As someone who has suffered depression & anxiety and also an abusive relationship and has needed to know the absolute nitty gritty of infidelities, & the fact that Alison had questioned all of the finer details of GBC's affair even down to asking him to draw a floorplan of TMcH's place, I think that it is a possibility that she has asked to have sex in the back of the car as per his trysts with TMcH and this is where it has turned violent. Whilst someone may need to know the details the reality dredges up a lot of pain & anger as well. This could very well account for the blood trail whilst the seats were in the down position, the scratch marks of a scorned woman & the consequent death of Alison. Just a theory...

I think forensics would have found further traces of DNA if that were the case.

Why? Are you referring to DNA from GBC? Maybe it didn't get that far? As I said it's just a theory from someone who has had a similar thing happen to them.

Yes and isn't it strange that if she picked up the leaf matter from the debris in the creek that was from exactly the same plants that grew at her house...and not one leaf from a foreign plant that grew somewhere else......what are the odds of that?

It would be an interesting exercise for any locals to go out to the area & note down or get a shot of just how many Crepe Myrtles are growing in that entire creek area.

I'm betting they'd come back with zero notes/photos :)

Yes further DNA from both...or even further DNA from just Allison. Forensics would have gone over that entire car.

Well I am the wrong person to ask because I thought it would be all over this week but I was so wrong about GBC giving evidence! So it seems there is his evidence to finish which could take a few days including cross examination, then they have other witnesses as well so it will go Monday to Thursday next week at least. Probably into the following week too.

Hi BritsKate , have seen your excellent posts on Oscar Pistorius forum. People are concerned but there are a lot of posters in this forum who have only followed this case. I think the prosecution have a strong circumstantial case and with the accused on the stand now anything can happen. We know the debacle that happened to OP in giving evidence. Gerrie made mincemeat of him in cross examination and their own witness got him sectioned for a psyc evaluation. I can't wait until his trial starts again!

We're back on Monday with OP.....How will we cope having Gerard all day and then coming home to Oscar? Whoa!!!!

Is there a transcript of G's spiel yesterday? Something kind of stood out at me but I can't find it or remember the exact words. It was pertaining to the girls.

You aren't referring to when he woke a sleeping child to put a bandaid over his "shaving" gash?
Arghhh! That one has been playing over in my head all day. What a "man"' ....not.
<modsnip>
Is he forcing an innocent child to be part of his evil criminal scheme?

I disagree as in reality her DNA would have been in her car & GBC's DNA would have been there anyway from putting the toys in the boot at the very least. <modsnip>

DunnoZo, my impression was that GBC actually very much enjoyed telling his 'stories' ....... in fact he was on many occasions very excited about what he was saying; at one point, he became so carried away that he forgot what the initial question was ..... and had to ask for it to be repeated.

I really thought the whole scene was so pathetic that it was in fact very sad that Nature had done that to a human being; of course it was absolutely disgusting. JMO

Others, of course, seemed to see GBC as exercising his 'charm'..... in an endeavour to save himself from a Guilty Verdict.

who else thinks GBCs blubbering drawl is purely to distract and confuse the jury?? It all looks like a sales tactic to me to prevent the jury from focusing on the important stuff..

IMO he is undeniably guilty.. its just a matter of tying him to the scene.. Ive been tring to think outside the box on this.. Id like to float a scenario for critique by you oh so clever sleuths..

What if ABC was only temporarily placed in the back of the Captiva (in case the kids woke up and seen mum passed away)???

What if there is no other evidence in the Captiva because Alison was transferred to say.. Bwana's ride and disposed of from there..

Can anyone let me know if NBCs car was tested for eveidence????

What is the approximate ages of the jurors?

Hi, I'm trying to catch up on what's already been said, but please tell me that it's not looking like the jury might believe ABC would walk so many km from home and do this to herself (without breaking bones or drowning etc) because I'm convinced that'd be an injustice? All the doctors even GBC that morning said she was not suicidal, it's so far from home to get to without a car and without being seen, and those scratches are not shaving cuts. To those who said it's not far to walk, I don't know if you know the area but I do well and it's not even just the distance it's all those hills and that there's nowhere to walk without being seen and remembered for being there as that is no road to walk!!

How is GBC coming across in court re his demeanour? Is he like the GBC of the 9 news interview, ie fake or does he sound convincing? P.S. I think they should play that interview in the trial. :)

Nothing would surprise me with this family, nothing.

No need for duct tape, I'm just speechless!

Forensics also test for bodily fluids such as semen or saliva.

Buzzinjess, this has often crossed my mind and is plausible IMO. I don't think either of Nigelaine's vehicles were ever forensically tested but I could be wrong. I do recall reading somewhere recently though that GBC said that police did not immediately release NBC's car from the Brookfield house on 20 April - the day GBC reported Allison missing. If the police did in fact forensically test NBC's car, it has never been mentioned as far as I know.

Realistically though, if you had a dead body in one car, why would you then move it to another car? But who's to say whether or not the BC's have a realistic grab on anything?
