Try googling FuTBaLrGuY
you can see some ebay stuff, but can't access it other than feedback for a few buyers.

Great info on the soccer equipment, I thought the issue had been stolen money so it's interesting to learn it was actually merchandise. I bet Golfmom is right that he sold this stuff on ebay. Too bad we can't get a history.

I've been trying to track down the actual soccer game -- I believe, and this is without tracking back to look, that MissYouJanet said he left the house about 7:30 PM and returned about 10:30 PM. If that's the case, I'm going to assume a playing time of one hour, another hour or so to account for warmup, possible late start, chatting, change afterwood, which leaves the last hour for r/t of 30 mins each way. Within those parameters, I tried to look for a league that had a game that fit the timeframe.

I first found the North Carolina Adult Soccer Assn, of which his friend, Daruis Ejlali, is President. NCASA

From there, I looked at the links of clubs/leagues that were in the geographic area that made sense timewise. You can view this info on the "Where to Play" link at top of homepage. Once looking at the different areas and deciding which made sense geographically, I then looked at each club/league to see whether any played the night of the murder. The only one I found is TASL. If you go to schedule, you will see the Coed Section C plays on Tuesday nights. There were two games (so 4 teams) that had a game at 8:30 PM on that night, which fits. I wish I could confirm one way or the other, but this is the best I could come up with.

I went to the crime scene today. It was raining, slightly, so I was a bit rushed in moving about the site. I got an eerie feeling as I approached the house. It is indeed sheltered from the road - completely. There was no indication that a crime had taken place there - no crime scene tape or anything. As I walked up the gravel driveway, I observed the creek, which is actually just a big ditch with moving water. I tried to take different shots of it, though again, I was rushed because of the rain. There's a dismantled desk in the driveway, which I included in the photos posted below. This may very well be remnants of the one that was in the office. I kept my distance, for some reason. There are several trees, as you can see in the pictures, which appear to be marked for removal. Perhaps the owner is doing this to improve the view and security of the home. The back yard is fenced, and I didn't enter it. There was a storage shed in the back yard, which I photo'd, though I didn't include it - didn't feel it was relevant. I saw the infamous side door and included a shot of it. I also climbed the steps of the front porch to find a pair of soccer shoes, which may be Janet's. They appear to be feminine in style. I peered through the windows to see that carpet had been ripped from the stairs - perhaps the entire house. The home was completely empty. It was apparent that no one is living there. There was a large trashcan outside, though I didn't think to open it. I also wanted to open the mailbox, but I really didn't want to tamper with federal property. This was a virgin experience for me. I hope the pictures provide some visualization. Thanks Golfmom for letting me use your photobucket account! Sorry these aren't in sequence. It would probably tell a better story. I took multiple photos of the creek/ditch because of our indepth discussion of the murderer cleaning up there. From my viewing of the scene, it wouldn't have been my first choice of places to clean up.

NC Banker, you did superb sleuthing!!
Thank you for your hard work and the sharing of the photos!
Is the house for sale or rent by chance?
If so, I wonder if any of us can get a look inside.
Maybe we can contact that landlord who's been quoted in the paper and arrange for a walk through. His name is on the timeline thread. Would be interesting to get his views on the inside of the home...

wonder why the carpet was off the stairs. Was their blood on it?
Was Janet attacked in the bedroom/office or was she attacked in another room of the home and ended up there near a phone or something.

Thanks again!

That picture looks like it had a for sale or for rent sign in it... would the number on that sign be visible? Would any sleuther dare to call it and arrange an inside walk through and photo shoot??
I think it would help us all get a feel of the house and the crime scene too.

Thanks again, great work!!!

This is the desk where the computer must've sat... wasn't there a palm pilot charger and papers taken from that desk, perhaps because they had fingerprints and/or blood splatters on them? I wonder why Raven didn't take the desk when he moved ... or Janet's pretty soccer shoes. That photo was eerie.
The desk might have hidden meaning. Maybe not....wonder if there was blood on it?

NCBanker--Would you think that Janet and Raven would have used the side door as their main entrance to the house? Curious to know if the driveway went all the way up there or not.

Good job on the pictures!

The home may be for sale or rent, though there is no indication of this on the exterior of the property.

I thought about checking for unlocked doors, but again, I didn't want to be charged with trespassing/breaking and entering. Whether the door is unlocked or not, if you enter, you've "broken" the invisible perimeter of the home.

The sign in front of the home is merely the address and not a for sale sign.

The driveway leads right up to the side door. However, my hunch is that they may have used the front door as well, because of the soccer shoes on the front porch, as if they removed them prior to going inside. Though they could have simply kept them out front because it was covered, and the side entry was not. Some people like to air out their shoes.

wow.............GREAT job NCB!!

.....you have really given us all a feel for the area !

...there's only the one newspaper, someone must be picking it up daily...( raven, when he comes to town to 'assist LE"...?)

...i would assume that LE ripped up that carpeting on the stairs, so quite possibly there was blood there and it's at the crime lab now..

...the desk,, just left out in the middle of the drive like that...odd....

...pics of the creek..........it's so overgrown , now it really amazes me that a dime was found there and listed on the evidence sheet...

...VERY daring of you to get the pics...........(.i'd have been terrified that raven or the owner would drive in !)..thanks again !

I didn't get close enough to examine it. I suspected immediately that it was THE desk from the office where she was found. The distance shown in the photo is as close as I got to it. Be sure to note that I included two pictures of it. I started with one, but went back and added it later. The second one is a better shot.

The people who know Scott and Laci have no doubt whatsoever that he has nothing to do with her disappearance. I mean, this was a couple everybody envied. They were just so much in love. I mean, they were a couple, they were partners, they were a team...

~ Sharon Rocha, as quoted by Catherine Crier in A Deadly Game

...I have known Janet all my life as well as her family. I know that everyone is probably looking at Raven as a prime suspect, but I truely believe that Raven is not capable of such a thing. Raven is a very handsome man and Janet a beautiful woman. Any jealous person could have done this(...)

...As a final note, Janet was the most forgiving person I have ever known. I know that she has forgiven whoever did this to her...

~ A person going by "LO" in a comment on this weblog entry at The Dark Side.

I'm reading Crier's book, and the quote by Sharon Rocha is literally the first thing you see. I was struck by the similarity in the comments, though it should be noted that "LO" is not even a relative of the Christiansens.

I have a feeling bells will be going off the entire time I'm reading this book.

I've heard exactly the same -- that he was virtually caught by accident, as well. Apparently he'd make dummy accounts in the computer ordering system and then send the items there, but he was always the actual recipient -- this last is a guess, but from the information I've received that's what it looks like. I'd love to see his e-Bay history, but you know, if his e-Bay stuff is inaccessible, it may be because he is still under investigation.

I did some searches on ebay. There is a seller named ravenpeters but is listed in the UK.

That side door is not the same door that we were seeing in the pictures of Kaiden on the counter.

Maybe those doors are on the east side? Leading into the back yard?
it looks like in the picture... only one is a real door... the other might be a window. I am wondering what part of the house that is on...

I was completely terrified. I went to bed last night with the thought that someone associated with the crime may be monitoring this thread, and could possibly show up while I was there (remember I posted last night that I was going to go to the crime scene this morning). I felt so stupid for having posted that last night. I could just imagine LE showing up, wanting to know who I'd been talking to associated with case, etc. While I was there, I kept waiting for Raven to come driving up the driveway. I was prepared, however, to talk to him. He and my cousin (another cousin - not the one in LE) attended SVU together. Actually, my cousin attended when Janet went back to school. Raven would visit on the weekends and they would double date with my cousin and his girlfriend.

I felt as if I was doing something wrong by being there. You know, the feeling you get in your gut when you're up to no good? I've experienced it before, so I know what it is!

For the entry titled The Murder of Janet Abaroa... On the Record I received the following comment, just a short time ago:

To whomever,

I am sorry but it is very much true that Raven had not only one but MULTIPLE affairs. Even Janet knew this. I do not argue that Janet was a forgiving person, as she did, in fact, forgive him.
Janet was one of the most sweet, trusting, and unfortunatley, naive people I have ever met. She knew what was going on because Raven was so careless with her feelings that he TOLD HER about these affairs. The two were actually seperated when they discovered they were pregnant. Kaiden is the reason why they got back together.

I cannot imagine the pain and grief that Janet went through. I pray for her every day, as well as her family. I do not doubt that she kept all of this to herself, as she was a guarded and private person.

But please PLEASE do not think Raven is a saint because he is good looking and throws around the religous thing. Belive me, it is now and has always been nothing but a tool for his manipulation. Do not take A SINGLE ASPECT of him for granted as being what is appears to be. I could go on, but I do not wish to identify myself as I am sure he will be reading this.

I wish that I did not know these things are true, but I do.

Because the person commented and knew it would be read, as they stated, I felt I could re-post it here.

Mr. A.

I didn't go into the back yard, though I did peer around the back of the house. I didn't notice, however, any doors on the back of the house, though there may very well be one.
