The 7-5-07 search warrant should be unsealed Monday.
I doubt the affidavit will be too revealing since we have seen the 'latest' evidence revealed in the 2/08 and 11/08 SW's .

My guess is we will see the SW was served on Kim Young's computer in Aberdeen NC. :online:

Kim Young...does she still live in Aberdeen? Know anything about her or what she does for work, her age, etc.? And why the heck isn't she up under Mamma's hot hairy armpit, you know--like boy Jason?

Yes, she is age 37 and lives with her husband outside of Aberdeen on a small horse farm. It has been said she just enrolled in the Vet school at NC State. She posted regularly on several crime boards defending her brother and vilifying Meredith.

Thinking more about the 2 years and no arrest. If they have to dance around evidence that perhaps points to another person with JLY , how can you charge him with 1st degree murder when you don't have the proof he was the one that actually delivered the fatal blows

The DA must prove beyond a reasonable doubt JLY personally delivered the fatal blows. If there is any evidence of a conspiracy (size 10 shoes and possibly unmatched prints), a good attorney will argue there is no proof JLY killed Michelle....the jury could very well settle on conspiracy to commit murder.

The civil suit alleges wrongful death and it will be very easy to show, with the civil burden of proof, that Jason L Young was ultimately responsible for Michelle's death.

Jason's personal computer hard-drive would cover both and more.
After all, he is the suspect.

Thanks, JTF for the info @ Jason's sister in the Aberdeen area. Vet school @NCSU? I guess they don't look for good character traits for their students.

I know a LEO in that area. I'll have to pay him a visit over Christmas.

Do you want to say what crime message boards she posts on, or what her username is? I'm not on the up-and-up on that one.

Motion was filed to extend the sealed warrant until 12-19-08

  • #268
Why would they extend the sealed warrant? Do they not want to give Jay's attorney an upperhand with the knowledge that might be revealed from the SW?

They don't want JY to know. Perhaps it is a simple as a wire tap on MM. He has maintained contact with her afterall...and she agreed to maintain the contact afterall. Lets see how far this spreads, I'm sure it will.

I think JY knows full well what that 7-5-07 SW says.
The DA had requested the 2/08 be sealed for 90 days (judge allowed 10) after Jason was 100% aware, since they were served on his residences and property.

Don't see the relevance actually. Have you forgotten about the recorded cell calls between old Scooter and his muse ? They were pretty instrmental in putting him away and he knew nothing about them until he was charged and his lawyer told him.

Did you mean intercepted cell calls rather than a court order to set up a wiretap on a land-line ? Or are you suggesting MM personally recorded the calls like AF did ? Either way, a SW would not be the legal vehicle...a simple sealed court order would do the trick.

I disagree.

You disagree with what ?

A pen register only requires a court order, a tap requires a warrant. We have already seen the pen register data in previous warrants - numbers of calls to whom, number of calls received from whom, date and duration of calls. That's already out there. Cell phones are much easier to tap than a corded line.

Google can be your friend if you doubt my word.

You are saying a search warrant is required for a phone tap ?
I use the term 'court order'
I guess we can agree to disagree.

Darn, I was looking forward to today to see what it was that'd been sealed! What could be more damning than what we have already seen released???
What about Jason's answer to Linda's wrongful death suit? Wasn't he supposed to reply by today regarding that also?

There are other types of warrants besides a search warrant. Wire taps require a warrant, that is plain as day. there are also night warrants, exigent circumstance warrants and on and on. Truth is - we don't know if what was to be released today is indeed a search warrant or some other type of warrant. What we know is it is a warrant - not a court order. So yes we disagree.

We know it is a search Warrant....that is a fact.
