IMO, that implies to me Ron knows enough for whoever to implicate themselves further by covering up Haleigh's homicide, yet somehow everyone was in agreement Ron would be arrested in a UC drug bust and do 15 years.

If Ron has so much power, directly or indirectly, does it really make sense for him to currently be sitting in prison for 15 years? IMO, this goes a little beyond taking one for the team.

Let's see HOW much of that 15 years he actually does, as his cases are now in appeal----

Everyone has appeals, he can appeal all he wants, but it does not erase the tapes of him counting and chewing on pills and asking for cocaine.

I don't think that Ron knows diddly squat about anything or anyone out of his own social circle. I think that he had to be put somewhere out of the way so that the investigation for Haleigh and his drug dealing would not lead investigators too close to the "bigger business dealings" going on in that county. He is nicely tucked away in prison and I would bet that the "important people" involved in shady dealings in that area feel much safer now that he is out of the way. Maybe Ron should feel "lucky". He could have been eliminated entirely but that would have put the spotlight right back on the "bigger business" wouldn't it?

Just because a certain race of people are mentioned it does not mean that you are being racist. FGS, there are different races of people on earth. It is what it is and that's that. The facts are what they are. How would they be described if you did not use their race when the subject is referring to migrant workers who do not go to LE when trouble comes their way due to the fact that they do not want to be deported. Feel free CC to voice your opinion. I see absolutely no bias or prejudice in your theory.

Ok, well I would love to see how everyone would act if anyone called and referred to Crystal Cummings boyfriend as that African American from Satsuma. We know for sure Ron was dealing with some African Americans, so should we bring that up over and over again? As someone with Hispanic people in my family and in my bloodline, I don't understand why anyone would be offended with my thoughts about it. I dont understand why it has to be the Crecent City Mexicans, I find it derogatory, sorry about that!

But I guess times are slow and its better to complain about other posters, even if you share the general theory. Poor Haleigh.

Crescent City sounds right to me, Whisp. Other towns as well, but seems CC had quite a few IIRC from early on in this case.

Where I live there is one county that was well known for the courts' revolving doors. Arrests were made and just about everyone got off or at most a slap on the wrist. There was always a high percentage of crime there but usually nothing real serious.

One time about 25 years ago there was a murder there. It's a small county and just by the process of elimination everyone who lived there knew who did it, including LE. The newspapers reported for many weeks on this murder but all LE would ever say was they were working on it. There was apparently not much by way of forensic evidence but there was a whole boatload of circumstantial evidence. Months went by and finally the perp was arrested, but within weeks he was released and nothing ever came of that case. It remains *unsolved*.

When the news article came out about the DA deciding not to take the case to trial, one of the attorneys in the office I worked in at that time just shook his head and said, "If you ever need to kill someone, do it in [that county]."

Truer words were never spoken.

It looks to me like in Florida, Putnam County is *that county*.

They all even went on the Maury Povich show. The bf, whose dad was a deputy, was arrested but released and LE claimed there wasn't any evidence. I never forgot about this case and would periodically check up on things. In the 20 years, a lot happened. The bfs dad was fired, his mother was convicted of killing her husband, and he himself went to prison for attempted murder in Louisiana. I thought that's where it woud end...but no, I recently checked & the bf was finally charged and plead guilty in a plea deal to the murder. The 11 year old daughter had been raped & strangled with a telephone cord & the 3 year old had been drowned in the bathtub. This case has haunted me for years. MOO.

there are so many different situations that could be related to Haleigh missing, (like Misty's weekend), and so many different people who could be involved. It's hard to talk about them without some kind of identifier, because we don't have names. CS said Jr said a black man in black took Haleigh, so I'm not so sure that any Mexicans were involved at all. The timing of her weekend seems like it would be connected, but I'm not seeing it...because of Jr's eyewitness account and because of Tommy's story. MOO.

Could be I missed something along the way but Nay Nay's story about the three day party time included a story of another girl (Lindsey somebody) who performed sex on Mexican migrant workers while Nay Nay, Misty and White Boy Greg supposedly just sat there and socialized. This story pretty much opened the theory discussions and the reports of other locals that Ronald was drunk and talking about robbing a drug dealer. Then there are also stories of Ronald's kin looking for White Boy Greg in retaliation for "Misty's honor". Could be that Ron also found out that Misty wasn't just a spectator that night but joined in with the migrant workers? I've read more than several stories of Ron wanting to kill some Mexican migrant workers. Maybe the stories are tied together in some way. I have not seen anyone posting derogatory posts about Mexican people, but maybe I missed something. I have read many posts regarding Crystal Cummings boyfriend. I've also seen many posts about Ronald's African American friend who just disappeared from the scene early on. However, I can say that I've heard the jailhouse rants from Ronald Cummings concerning definite racist's comments. I'm sorry you feel offended but I feel that CC did not intend for you to feel uncomfortable with the post.

I don't think it was racist as it was part of my theory on what happened. I said nothing bad about the migrants and the migrant population includes more nationalities than just Mexicans ie Haitans, El Salvodorans, Honduras and more. And believe me I'm not a racist - if you could see my family - it's a rainbow.

This "label" comes from the story we all know from NayNay. NayNay named them "the Mexicans", while telling her story to reporter Art Harris. This is the activity Misty was involved in when she was angry with Ron and had a fling with WBGreg. They drove Lindsay (the Lindsay who sold her services to the Mexicans) to Crescent City.

When a poster in the Haleigh case, refers to "the Mexicans" - in my mind I think of NayNay's story and Misty and WBGreg getting high with "the Mexicans" and waiting for Lindsay to make money.

IMO, no one means it as a slur - they are simply naming a character ("the Mexicans" happens to be a party/group of characters).

We commonly refer to one African American in this case as "White Boy ..." because that is also the name his friends gave him, and that's what they call him in their interviews. Also not a slur.

Expressing offense in general - that this group of people - who have become part of the extended story of Haleigh's disappearance - are referred to as "the Mexicans" by the people in Haleigh's life - I understand what you mean. They have done and have said many things that are offensive.

But I don't think when it's used here in Haleigh's thread, that the label is meant as anything other than an identifier for a specific group of people partying and ... doing other illegal things at a specific event ... as described by NayNay...that happens to be a critical part of the days immediately before Haleigh's disappearance.

JMO.

My last name is GOMEZ, my husband who passed away 3 years ago is Hispanic and among my family and friends are a lot of different nationalities and colors. And we all get along.

This is probably closer to the truth that anything else out there. Usually our first gut instincts are right. I never thought this was so complex. What makes it complex is the people around the main players who are just as baffled and grasping for theories or ideas. For something like this to remain a secret for so long, 3 Easters now, not many people could know the real truth.

Yep, Perhaps thats why Putnam Co is referred to as the armpit of Florida and PCSO has the lowest rating in the state of Florida..
I also read where Palatka Daily News will not run information or letters to the editor to expose the truth as to what is going on within the department down there..Seems to me news media in the area is under the PCSO's thumb..JMHO
