It's worse than pathetic. Unfortunately it is the way things are in some areas. It's probably the same in Immokalee, where Adji disappeared from. I think citizens in some areas become accustomed to how LE handles things and like it or not, just accept it. And if such acceptance is the norm in Putnam County, an employer threatening to fire an employee who speaks out is something that the community would also look the other way on. I do not know that PDM threatened, but I suspect they did more than simply *request* their employees keep quiet.

The person who told AH about rc and his talking to misty and telling her to "just whip her or put in a dvd", also told that misty was calling and complaining about Haleigh and not being able to get her to got to sleep. He no longer is employed by PDM. IIRC, he was gone very soon after this case broke. Now I don't know the reason he left but it sure does raise some flags.

-How do you completely stop every employee of an air conditioning company from talking to the media?

-How do you completely stop management and residents from apartment complexes in another county, 85 miles away, from talking to the media?

No matter what their statements may say or not say, what kind of request or threat from LE could draw such a complete veil of silence from that many people?

Why would innocence not DEMAND this silence to be lifted?

In response to all of the ^above^ mentioned[and of course this is only my opinion].. but the reasons for workers at PDM..a district full of adults both teachers and oarents.. people in/around a heating and air conditioning company..as well as both staff and tenants of an apt.complex.. all are more than capable of talking and blabbing "anything they may know" about the case or even about the "players" involved in the case[you know out of all those listed there are more than a handful that know "dirt" on any number of these cast of characters involved]..but the 2 main reasons why we only hear silence from any of these directions is #1 there is no justice seeking..out for the truth.. hungry in seeking a child's justice.. investigative reporter down there that is lapping at the heels of any number of those[if not all of them by now]listed above in there quest for justice for a child who seemingly in life had noone in her corner fighting for her...and #2 it's in my opinion that if not all of the adults above listed then definitely the majority of them for one extremely selfish reason or another truly could care less about this little child that has lost her life much less in seeking justice for her in death...AND IMO those reasons could be any number of an entire laundry list long of reasons[i.e. personal issues/run-ins with LE so the last thing they're looking for is any attn whatsoever to be brought to them by LE..pure unadulterated..self-absorbed reasons of just not wanting their lives in any way interrupted by speaking out about "anything they may know"{for instance taking away from their wonderful daily lies of after work kicking back with beer..weed..etc}that is way too important to these folks to speak up for a little girl who In their opinion has already lost her life so what's the use..the list could go on and on of the selfish motives of these folks prohibiting them to come forward to speak..]

And especially without having a die hard..relentless reporter that is literally bugging the he!! out of them to speak..then with each passing day Haleigh and her injustice just becomes a more and more distant uncomfortable memory of something that area and those folks would better forget than to do a damn thing about...

The only other case I can think of where LE couldn't solve the case was Tara Grinstead. She was also from a small town and the" good old boys network." Neither of these communities want public assistance and they didn't get it either.

This case should have been solved, imo. LE played it wrong by keeping things so close to the vest that it backfired. It gave the players to scatter and lie because their lies were not being exposed. These players were kept in a bubble away from public scrutiny. The only flack flying was on the web. LE even tried to stop that. They are not looking. They are in their chairs, waiting for the day a break will come their way.

They babied misty because she was a minor. LE were more afraid of legal ramifications than forcing her to tell what she knew. They sat back and waited for her to become of age and then they went into action. Within five weeks they had misty in jail. They made a decision to round them all up in retaliation for none of them sharing what they know about Haleigh. ron and misty were already lawyered up so they hadn't been cooperating. Tommy and JO both got an attorney. I suspect those four are involved.

Like I said before, once a Defense Attorney is hired, you can kiss justice goodbye if you don't have evidence or a body.

There was ONE or TWO famous reporters that showed up., smooth operator. Geraldo and Greta! Greta showed us a ghost town. No neighbors to talk with; no Lookers on the streets. One gets the sense they were all behind their drapes peering at the media trucks but not dare showing their faces.

Look what happened when Geraldo showed in Satsuma! He could have helped this case significantly. He is from Fox News..my goodness. Did you see the wagons circling him? Did you hear them and watch them follow him? That is a taste of what this family is like. They literally ran Geraldo Rivera out of town...now that is power! I noticed that is how tightly knit these bandits are. I also imagine people who live there didn't like it one bit but backed the Cummings. After all, they were protecting the insiders from any form of scrutiny. Not one person stood up and told Geraldo anything after that. They let Geraldo go on his way.

He may have been able to bring this case to a national spotlight and that would have put pressure on the players. IMO, the people in that area are glad all the "fuss" is over.

BBM: I have to commend LE for doing that, at least, and from their sentences it seems SA was on board with this. Time will tell about the SA's sincerity when if any of them gets a break by way of appeal, he will either ignore it or he will take whatever steps are necessary to ensure they stay locked up.

Their sentences are inadequate as justice for Haleigh, IMO...but it's better than nothing.

JVM left an open Invitation up on her show for ron, misty, attorneys to come on her show between March and August 2009 and plead for Haleigh. Never once did they take up her offer.

When did rc start Pleaing for Haleigh. One day after HE was arrested. See, he didn't like the press questioning him. He turned it into a new search for his daughter. What a coincidence that he starts the search the day he gets out of jail. For five months he and misty refused to talk to LE. rc said, '''What do you tell them after I don't know anything".

Well, ron, there's plenty to say and question. You should be begging LE to help you and telling them every little thing about all the people you know and you should also have been wondering how that pesky door got unlocked...Nope you tell us that a crowbar could have been used or a lock picker did it. LE tells u..no, that didn't happen, and yet, you still don't have questions about how that door got open...hmmm.

I am not so sure JO was involved. He may have had opportunity, and he is another one who thumbs his nose at the law so it's not out of the realm of possibility he could be involved. I am hesitant to think JO is the perp because of his attorney, Shawn Sirgo.

OK...a defense attorney's job is to make their client look good, but Sirgo seems to be a man with morals. I cannot say for certain that JO has not pulled the wool over his attorney's eyes, only that I have reasonable doubt that he has. IMO, Sirgo would not be standing by JO if he thought JO had harmed a small child. Sirgo had been JO's attorney from the days when JO had juvie charges but from what I understand those were crimes against property. Sirgo is free to stay or go, and I think he would go in a heartbeat if he thought his client was a child killer. JMO.

There was a time, IMO, when Misty was vulnerable and LE could've gotten her then. early on, when she was with her mother and not Ron. IDC what anybody says, those were real tears and she was suffering real trauma. Regardless of who the perp was, even if it was her, I think that was her time to tell all. But something happened when she got back with Ron. She hardened up, got cocky, the 'fame' went to her head, and whatever she felt for Haleigh as a child who loved her, got buried somewhere down deep. I doubt her mom helped matters much. Who knows...that may be the time when she resorted to blackmail. MOO.

Sad to say but i think toooo much time and tooo much water has gone under this bridge.
I dont think we will ever know what happend to Haleigh. Years have gone by and we are no closer to finding her today then the day she went missing.

I think LE should be ashamed of themelves for allowing this family to lead them to where they are today. At least we have the drug convictions. Misty it seems has the longest haul but in my eyes it should be longer and Ronald should be serving it right there with her.
Tommy needs more time added to his...... These three know exacty what happend and there are a few others that know! Rons mother and grandmother know everything that happend that night and will go to their graves saying nothing to save slime ball ron...

I suspect Hope knows what happened, but I doubt she will ever tell LE..She is too loyal to Ron C... She has proven that...JMHO

And so is Misty, and she really has proven that. I really can't help but think hes like a mini Manson. I do think Misty and Hope would do ANYTHING for Ronald. I think its sick and really messed up, but we do know these things happen. And I also think Katrina Belcher could have been involved after the fact as well, and we all know what has come of her.....

My instincts just keep pulling me here, and really alot of it is based on the LE's actions towards Hope.... they were targeted for a reason. I still think Tommys only part is knowledge after the fact after that fight.

If Ron and Misty, know the truth and wont talk, what else did everyone want the LE to do? Wouldn't everyone be really mad right now if they were all out enjoying their lives? The suspects and all involved that night are in jail. The State cant beat the truth out of them... we have the right to remain silent, and thats what these cowards are doing. Be thankful they are locked up!

I will not accept the drug bust as justice for HaLeigh. There has to be something that can be done. I am not saying LE isn't doing their job, but what is wrong with a fresh set of eyes? What is the worse that can come from someone else looking at the case, they find something that was over looked, possibly, or they find nothing, it isn't going to hurt anyone to have someone outside of PC to look at the case file, IMO.

If all vehicles and relevant properties were not searched, and if what little evidence LE did have from the start was compromised (sheets on the ramp blowing in the breeze, the MH door not taken for testing at the onset) how can LE say with a straight face that they have not solved this case only because the POIs lied? Sure they lied. That's what most criminals do! What most LE do is hammer away at the lies, do proper searches, and preserve evidence.

Most, but obvioulsy not all.

Let's also not forget how LE didn't send any evidence to be tested for MONTHS after the investigation started. Talk about mind blowing!

I think they wanted these peeps off the streets fast and this was the only way to do it. They are getting no info from any of them and doing it this way this case can in no way hurt that case and vice versa....

I think they only stay if the its proven the child was taken out of state I dont know. But PC needs help from someone even if its tooo late.

I agree, Ron has a hold over these girls, could it be drugs? I also agree about Katrina Belcher, we do know what became of her! Drugs seem to be the root of all things in this....

Child abuse killed Haleigh Cummings, imo. It was not a a gun with messy blood splatter, this was a classic case of a druggie having a kid, and killing it with his hands or fist, and we all know from Annette that Haleigh was "hard to handle" at times. Ron Cummings is not the compassionate loving tender nurturing father that his family has tried to make him out to be, there is not one indication on that, I mean this guy was trying to get Crystals sister to physically hit a woman carrying his child, that is disgusting, and how anyone defends that is beyond me.

I think I am one of the only ones who think LE have done their jobs here, they can only do so much with people who wont talk. And even if he gets out, he will be right back in, because they will have his eye on him. This guy was caught in a cemetery with a very young Hope Sykes...... this case is probably more twisted than meets the eye.... I bet its very dark.

I think Hope would be able to separate herself from the extremity of Haleigh being dead based on the fact that she isn't a mother herself. If its going to hurt two people, Misty could have been talking about Ron and Hope.

The FBI stayed on the Casey Anthony case. I was chuckeling when they were doing all those interviews. They sat back and let Cindy, Casey, George and Lee ramble on.

They were profiling and I was ecstatic. Saying that, I assume Orlando PD asked for their help. They had a BIG liar on their hands with Casey...and home grown nuts and liars with the rest of the family. They also had evidence.

Speaking of evidence, what is up with that? Is there absolutely no evidence?

Putnam could have utilized their help..but they had to ask. I ,again, am assumiing they had to ask because Caylee was not known to have crossed any State lines so why were the FBI involved?. :banghead:
