George has Casey's car destroyed

I would just like to say that it is my belief that cindy anthony has severe control issues.
crushing the car was symbolic to me. It reminds me of her hammering those stakes into the earth. Cindy and a hammer are more likely to be found together than Cindy and a Teddy Bear. That was just too darn weird. I think my psyche has been terminally damaged from seeing that. :floorlaugh:

Yes, symbolic. End of an era. I am glad the car is destroyed but to me, as Caylee's coffin -- it is another opportunity for justice that is lost forever. Not that it helps, it is long since rendered moot but as that door (odor) closes so to speak ... It opens one wider for FCA. Closure for the A's, closure for FCA -- not for Caylee though.

Would Dr. Vass even have wanted the car? I bet not.

Probably so.

Anything "death related" is something Dr. Vass thrives on and we know the car was directly related to Caylee's decomposition.

Okay. Lots and lots of off topic followed by baiting. Let's not get this thread closed. Please.

How did the Anthonys gain in this transaction and how did they lose?

10-4. Maybe we could just say that they've lost a car they might not previously have been able to afford losing?

My opinion: simply this. They know KC is coming back next week and she'd be squawking for the car as it's HERS. She might even get JB to file a lawsuit to demand it.

It was a big middle finger to the liar and <modsnip>

That they are still saying it, especially if they are still saying George was an accomplice...interesting either would open themselves up to a lawsuit outside the protection of an opening argument.

They don't include comments about George. I will find the links first thing tomorrow.

I wonder if he expressed to the Anthony's that he would like the car.

I don't know. I've heard nothing about it.

Wow! Rarely speechless...even briefly.

I don't really care why the car was destroyed. I am just glad it was destroyed. I have always marveled at the theories about Cindy cleaning out the car. I think she tried to rid the smell with Febreeze and Dryer Sheets.

GA came from a family who owned an auto dealership. GA even started his own. Lee testified that George always cleaned out the cars..that was what he did.

I used to always say that if there was such a thing as reincarnation, I wanted to come back as some guys beloved car so I could get polished and lovingly wiped down every week. I don't think this car was "cleaned" to perfection on the day the Anthony's picked it up from the tow yard. I think George had lovingly cleaned that car ...as usual...before FCA left the home in June. I don't think Casey spent much time during those 31 days paying particular attention to the trunk, except for placing/removing Caylee's body...and tossing a trash bag into it. I think that is why that trunk was so clean. I used to date a car salesman. They are ridiculous about the cleanliness of their cars....seriously. Ca-razy!

With the exception of Caylee, this family is like a Raid-resistant tribe of cockroaches. I wish they would scatter back into the baseboards, but it appears that isn't likely to happen.

:waitasec: I know Dr. Vass studies "Decomposition" and we know from his testimony at trial that Caylee "decomposed" in that car ... I don't know IF he "studies" the actual "vehicle" that the body "decomposed" in, either before OR after his studies and findings ...

It was just a "suggestion" ... an "idea" ...

I think IF he could have had a study of it BEFORE it was sent to the "crusher" ... we WOULD KNOW FOR SURE if it STILL SMELLED ...

MOO ...

That's a nice thought.

Baez nor Casey had/have any legal rights to that car. It wasn't titled in her name.

IMO there is some weight to the theory that destroying the car was, in some sense, destroying evidence that may prove fertile in the future. Especially considering Dr Vass' ongoing studies.

I doubt that when evidence was saved 20 years ago was specifically saved because anyone knew DNA testing would ever help define innocence or guilt.

You only have to have heard today's news of the Memphis III to understand this.

I agree, Casey had no legal right to the car.

I really don't think she would want it anyway. She's seeing something much better in her future than an old Pontiac.

Nah, Dr. Vass is a highly educated man.

He probably knew better than to think for one moment that the Anthonys were going to export for a change when their commodity exchanges are solely stamped "import".

I totally understand what you are saying.

But, we don't know if anybody requested the car from the Anthonys.

All we know is LE was done with it. As the owner's GA and CA had to do something with it.

IMO they crushed it because that's what they thought would be best.

I don't see it as that they were trying to destroy evidence that may come up in the future. I'm sure they didn't want that that car in their yard or anywhere for that matter.

Perfect example!

No doubt he's highly educated. But if he would have wanted it, all he had to do was shoot the A's an email or a letter and try.
All that could happen was they may say no.

IMO we can't fault the A's for not sending a car to someone if they didn't even know he may or may not be interested in having it.

I think crushing the car was a huge step for the A's.

:floorlaugh: So she patiently waited 20 years for Casey to grow up, get knocked up, and leave her kid in the swamp, dead, just so she could be patient for 3 more years in order to make an appearance on the Dr. Phil show - Winning!! :floorlaugh:

No but she sure snapped up the opportunities in a uniquely swift and grotesque way that we don't see in other "grieving" grandparents.

BBM: "Logical action" ... there is NOTHING "logical" when it comes to the A's ... MOO ...

But back to my original point ... I am "guessing" that maybe 5-10 years from now, what Dr. Vass testified to regarding the "CAR" and the "decomp" smell will be "standard" ... MOO ...

After thinking about the "car" ... it's a shame that it was not "donated" to someone like Dr. Vass who has studied the smells of decomp in CARS, etc. Dr. Vass "loves" his work and he is working to ADVANCE this "science" ...

Many are CURIOUS as to whether or NOT the car STILL SMELLS ... and it has been "alleged" that it smells ...

What better way to find out IF the CAR STILL SMELLS than to give it to Dr. Vass ?

MOO ...

isn't the spare tire cover in evidence, separate entirely from the car? i think we saw it pulled out during trial.
