Hold on , Folks, Zimmerman was originally and is STILL charged with 2nd Degree Murder...that is NOT new:
http://abcnews.go.com/US/george-zimmerman-charged-murder-trayvon-martin-killing/story?id=16115469

Adding 3rd Degree Murder was predictable given TM's age, Zimmerman's actions..from the get go.

Actually the Prosecution explained their premise very well. They have given numerous presedents....Any good Defense would be prepared...IMO

Dibsy, that's an option. The jury now has the option to go for manslaughter too. Game changer. IMHO

Mr West is making a good point. I haven't heard any lawyers say that the state would ask for murder in the 3rd degree murder based on child abuse.

I think that the state is pulling a fast one. MOO.

I think someone has gotten to that judge and advised her to stop cutting West off. She is behaving completely different to him than yesterday, permitting him a lot of leeway.

IMHO

You would hope so but apparently the DOJ has been exposed as using tax payer $ to BUS protesters in to Samford ..... who knows what they have planned for this weekend.

Yes, and since this goes all the way to the top, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. IMO.

No no... don't get combative with the judge. She'll let it in...

Ooohhhh, No no no West!! Stop being snippy, that doesn't work!

I agree totally that this was backhanded, but it doesn't help to whine here.

IMHO

Yeah but he is expressing the frustration that so many of us feel!

For the first time the Judge is NOT getting irritated, I think she agrees with West.

IMO.

Yea this thing with the child abuse is new. No TH or show I've seen has ever brought that up as a possible charge.

Oh wow, wow, wow

Yes, IMO, wow, wow, wow

I haven't said good morning yet, so..... :seeya:

As much as I enjoy watching opening and closing statements, whenever it gets down to closing, I always get a wave of sadness with these things. Whatever outcome we get, these lives are forever changed and not in a good way. Just makes me sad for everybody.

IMO

As well he should be, Silky. This isn't pretend outrage, this is outrageous for the state to do this.

I think later this will be made very clear by the talking heads that you may believe.

IMHO

Suprisingly, I think so too. I think she understands his frustration.

I still don't like West. Let me make that clear.

His points are clear and correct, His arguing style is annoying.

He is passionate and that is clear. He is fighting for GZ but he is also in need of a little calming self control of MO'M.

And WHERE HE IS??? ARG!

And again.. She won't give the defense time to adequately research but only minutes.. That is an issue considering this is a new bomb this am.

  • #177
No matter what the judge says in her instructions to the jury, there will be at least one, who will not understand and think you HAVE to pick a charge, as opposed to an aquital. THAT, IMO, stinks, since the jurors are just plain folks, not lawyers, do not know the penalties for each charge, and are really in the DARK.

Something needs to be done about our so-called JUSTICE system.

My opinion, of course, and I think I'll take a TO, before I get one.

I hope MOM is listening and gets his butt to court quick. I have more confidence with him arguing this.

Predatory prosecution.

IMHO

BBM

The key to this case that most of us do not believe the state has in any way proved that GZ 'provoked' anything.

You're also incorrect on the 'I didn't do it' notation. He owned up to what he did as soon as the event happened. He's never backed down from that, never backed down from any interview, truth test, etc.

IMO it is proven by the 911 call that GZ provoked and initiated the confrontation.
