I have shot rifles, two handed, and pistols, one handed and two handed, hundreds, no maybe thousands, and I have never been hit in the face (or anywhere else) by the recoil. Just my observation.

I have not fired much and not recently, but a 9mmm is a small gun, a small gun then I was told 20 years ago. Very slight recoil.


Let me fix this a bit.
20 years ago I was told the smallest gun to get was a 22mm teice the caliber of a 9mm. A 9mm is a very small gun.

That wasn't the question. No logical way for recoil to hit GZ in the nose. Not in the position they were in.


He was on the ground. The blood in his nose at that point would have ran down his throat until he stood up.

Lind to all the punches being to the nose?

He got right up after the shot- recoil.
That's why blood runs down, not back from any punch to the face.
Which no evidence on Trayvon's hands proves Trayvon didn't make that injury on his face. What did? No punch to the face, no attack.

Wonder why GZ didn't stay with the SYG and let that go before the court? IMO

Because they'd have to have an affirmative PROOF of that to use SYG. If they failed to certify that he could use the SYG defense, he wouldn't have been able to use self-defense in the trial.

Since there is no evidence either way, it might have been hard to prove he was standing his ground. As it is, the state now has the burden to prove he WASN'T defending his life.

I think that the state is doing at least as much guessing as O"Mara. That means reasonable doubt to me. MOO.

Much more guessing is done by the state as far as I can tell. At least defense presented a cohesive story from Zimmerman's point of view, and supported by at least some witnesses.

Superficial injuries caused by turning head side to side in trying to get out. I would expect a very wide area of bruising on the back of the head if what GZ says is true and, there would have been debris stuck in the wounds and to the skin. None of that is visible. IMO

I agree, even in his walk through all I see are two bandages, nothing more. I see no swelling, no black and blue bruises, he's up walking and talking not in the hospital bed or even in his own bed with a major headache, but able to go to school and focus on his studies. I don't get it????? My own husband fell on our concrete steps, just once his face hit the steps and he ended up in the emergency, face swollen, black and blue bruises all around his eyes, broken tooth and was in bed the next day in pain and he only hit once, not multiple times like GZ claims. I don't get it.

Then there is no problem---unless that innocent person punches you in the face and then sits on top of you and continues to assault you...

I think the gunshot gun recoiled caused Zimmerman's injuries, not the victim.

Not one piece of evidence witness testimony or expert testimony supports this. Plus he had multiple lacerations on the back of his head. This is caused by the head hitting the pavement multiple times.

RJ did say that TM told her he was 'behind' the house. She also responded to West that he didn't need to run back to his house because he was already there 'I just told you'.

I wrote down her exact words last night. She said ALMOST by his Daddy's fiance's house when being questioned by Bernie, right before her testimony of GET OFF. JMO

It depends what you mean by 'attack'. Did you physically assault him first? Then no, you can't auto claim self defense.

Exactly Cityslick, that was my scenario from the get go, but apparently the person who overpowers the original attacker in my scenario can't claim self defense because they have used "aggression and assault" ??? IMO

I don't know how old you are or whether you have kids, but creepy, creeper, creepin' have a totally different usage these days. It's much more casual. "He was creepin' my facebook" means he was looking at my facebook to see what I was up to.

Yes I have heard that used in that way,but in this case there was a concern from RJ and TM that GZ may have been a pervert and that was why he was watching Trayvon.

Yes. But TM is the victim here, and yet he is being blamed for his own murder. If GZ was the initial aggressor, and TM was defending himself, then GZ's claim of SYG/SD is moot. TM possibly standing his ground (without a gun) is indeed a relevant point.

You can assert self-defense even if you are the initial aggressor. And I stand by my statement that it's not a relevant point. jmo

Just because someone wound up dead doesn't mean the person who wound up dead didn't have a hand into his death. That excuses or ignores any circumstances leading up to that person dying.

I understand - but object to the someone starting a fight, then finds they are losing - then uses deadly force.Then claims self defense.
