I'm not sure if I agree with that. I don't believe he murdered TM. I believe it was manslaughter, however I do think he was in Dirty Harry mode because of his statement in the NEN call. That they always get away. I think GZ had decided that wasn't going to happen this night.

Dirty harry walks in firing. He does not wait for answers, he just takes control and shoots.

Think about it. HE could have pulled the gun on TM and just held him. HE NEVER REACHED FOR THE GUN. NOT until they end up fighting and he is getting beat up.

I wish he would have been charged with MS not M2.

Why is GZ not Crying or showing remorse at this very moment hearing this woman's trauma after seeing TM body lay lifeless? at this very moment while TMs mom crying?

Ugh! Those eyes are showing NOTHING.

Don't know, I'm not GZ

Why would George not be? He was the one with the broken nose and head wounds.

Why would Trayvon be screaming "help Me" if he was on top of Zimmerman pounding his head into the ground?

He could have gotten off of Zimmerman and just left, he did not.

Um TM could have been screaming when he saw the gun.

That is obvious to you. TM may have been defending himself. The only thing obvious is GZ was losing a fight, one he wouldn't have got into if he wouldn't have been lurking after someone in the dark.

Can you provide a link to the bolded statement? It has been stated many times as fact, yet I have not seen a link provided to state it as fact.

TIA!

ETA: "lurking after someone in the dark" comment

HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO. He has to be under control. He has to be stoic in court.

Technically TM's is supposed to keep under control too but who can blame her. This must be excruciating for her. I just want to hug her.

To what end does that do anything? Half the people observing him would think it's fake. GZ may feel remorse for what he did, but TM wasn't a family member or related in any way to him to feel emotion.

This witness is making too many assumptions. She was a distance away, it was dark. There's no way she can definitively determine whose voice was whose.

How did he wind up on top of GZ if he was deathly afraid of the gun? I don't understand the logic in this.

People swore up and down that it was GZ on top, not TM specifically for this reason.

She heard GEorge's voice right afterwards. I would assume she can tell the difference between the two.

Good cross. IMO she has been turned for Def

Think Jodi Arias. Everyone thought her "crying was fake". I dont think he can show emotion because it would come off as "fake and self serving".

Not defending, just adding my opinion

This does not work for me. Not with the evidence so far.

Regardless of what DID happen, which none of us really can know as of this point (still not enough evidence, IMO)... I doubt GZ would in any situation let TM "just leave".

Just MOO!

Last time I checked people have the freedom to show remorse in the court. In fact it is encouraged.

Plus remorse is not something you can just turn off. Have you ever tried to not cry while nervous and hearing yourself kill another person Infront of that persons own mother?

I don't see where you get this factoid of no emotion being allowed in court in moments like these such as crying/hanging head down in shame/etc.

West is doing great. Showing that she thought she had a better idea of what he should have done.

  • #177
West sure knows how to beat a dead horse. Surdyka has answered his questions about her impressions of the voices over and over. He is insulting in his method of trying to get her to deny her own testimony. He should learn to give up and move on when he cannot make a point. She said "it's a duck" 50 times! <modsnip>

yep and not only that people would be saying "well, He's not crying enough or he's not really showing any emotion". etc.

People handle stress in different ways. You may handle stress very differently than I do.

His demeanor has no bearing on his guilt or innocence, in my opinion.

You're just not supposed to get out of order and have a nervous breakdown and fall on the floor convulsing and sobbing or have so much emotion it takes attention away from the cross examination.
