Jayne Surdyka heard three shots so I wonder what else George Zimmerman is hiding? Perhaps GZ shot at him three times and only managed to hit him once or two of the shots were " warning shots?"

Zimmerman is not hiding anything.

When I saw the 7-11 vid...I was shocked at how big Trayvon looked...He towered over the guy working the register...

He was big by anyone's standards and lean like most 17 yo's

Are we still on Mary C. ?

Not sure if you meant to quote me.

However, I am not using anyone's words but GZ's and the witnesses we have seen on the stand.

GZ stated he was on top of TM.

No way. If there were 3 shots, they would have found the casings or the bullet holes. No way. There was 1 shot we all heard it.

She is a bad witness. Sorry.

ETA: Well bad for state.. good for Defense

TM looks taller and lean, even with his hoodie on. GZ looks bulky, wider. So if someone is on top of another, the bigger bulker would win over height. :twocents:

No. It would be longer between sounds.. So POP.. then.. beat beat POP.. Then Beat BEat BEat pop... It would not be right after each other if it was echo.

Minor point, but this is inaccurate. An echo is simply the sound returning to the listener after rebounding from other objects. The time lapse and intensity is dependent upon the distance the sound ultimately had to travel and the number of jumps made. It is entirely plausible that in some appartments -- particularly in the concrete "canyon" formed by the three buildings -- that a single shot might sound like a quick burst of gunfire to a surprised listener.

Further, as I can testify personally, these kinds of things are often tricky to recall. The number of shots is secondary to the fact that there was gunfire going on at all -- particularly if there were other things going on at the time to distract you. I was in exactly this woman's position: shouting outside followed by gunfire, and a minute later when I phoned the police I had to ask my wife to confirm the number of shots fired.

In other words, I consider this a minor detail.

NOTE: for those in the Zimmerman camp, I apply the same standard to some of the discrepencies in Zimmerman's account. For example, his recollection of what the dispatch actually told him does not match the tape. I consider this normal. It might indicate his state of mind, but it is not evidence of lying in my opinion.

I think perhaps a head butt injured his nose. No way do I believe it was broken and after it was cleaned off .., it appeared to be a tiny scratch o his nose and I failed to see the swelling.
So, you think the PA had something to gain from saying his nose was probably broken?

If there were 3 shots fired in succession they would be heard on the 911 call where we can hear one. I don't think the witness is very credible. JMO

Zimmerman is not hiding anything.

and no one, not even the State, contends that there was more than one shot. I didn't hear that testimony, but if she said she heard three shots she's lost credibility on her hearing skills, imo

Chad was 12 and now magically he's 15.

Ok so he was 14 or 13. Either way my point is that TM told him he was going to the store. That is the only point I was making.

Plus there was only one bullet missing from the gun. The one in the chamber was fired. The rest were in the clip.

They were both on the ground, according to the witness, one on top of another.

GZ STATED he was on top of TM!!!

You cannot tell height when someone is on the ground.

That sweatshirt was not bulky, IMO. It hung on him like a hoodie does.

corun, are you maybe confusing what GZ said happened after he shot TM with what he says happened before the shot?

Don West tried to convince Jane S. that it was after the event, not during it, when she decided the voice crying for help was a boy's voice. She immediately corrected him by making it crystal clear that during the confrontation she K N E W the voice crying for Help was that of a boy, and not the harsh, agressive voice she heard from George Zimmerman.

What could he have possibly been up to?

If that is a serious question:
1. - he could have been one of the AA teens that had robbed GZ's neighbors
2. - he could be waiting for one of his "friends" to give him jewelry (if you haven't heard about this google TM & stolen jewelry).

Those are just 2 possibilities - JMO

I don't think it does matter little. Sure, he may have just been doing what he thought was his duty. But look at this from Trayvon's perspective for just a moment, and assume Trayvon was not doing anything wrong because there is absolutely no proof that he was. A man is watching you, possibly following you in a car. You don't know him and you don't know his intentions. You freak out and run and he comes after you. To you, this man is following you and you have no idea why. When you grow some balls like Trayvon and ask him what his deal is, he acts confrontational and asks you what you're doing and says he has no problem.

It absolutely matters that George was outside of his car and following Trayvon. Sure, he had a legal right to do so, and no he was not obligated to identify himself and state his issues. But he should have. Definitely. Because then it just looks like a man who has a problem with you and is following you.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. But I disagree that GZ had a legal right to follow TM for no reason, it's harrassment and stalking. I agree that all GZ had to do was identify himself as NW and ask him where he was headed.
