Defense attorney asking questions threw his pen/pencil against the podium when prosecutor had an objection.

I don't know how I feel about that.

But at the same time, I know JM did it at some point in frustration at Jodi...so...

I can't have a different set of rules for men I like and men I don't. LOL!!

Guess I have to be OK with it...cause I thought it was HILARIOUS when JM did it!

Except no one heard screams after the boy was shot. Not one witness and not on the 911 call

Well, no, neither of them would have been screaming after the shot. GZ wouldn't have needed to scream nor would Trayvon.

Can I just say this?

THIS IS TORTURE!

Did she actually use those words?
I think I missed that. Do you know about the time on stand she said this?
TIA

I don't know if she used those exact words, but she did admit she altered her testimony in order to get George arrested.

Maybe someone could answer that better than me. I'm not really good with time.

Logically I agree with that, but I think if I had just shot someone, I would be screaming louder than I was before. But that's just MO, and I hope to never be in the position to find out.

I believe DeeDees story over GZ on what happened. Her story makes sense to me, GZ doesn't. Didn't he say that TM popped out of a bush and said "what are you doing here homey, tonight you are going to die".. something like that?

If DeeDee was lying, then she could have lied even further about what happened. Instead she said the phone shut off, she could have lied and said she heard more stuff, but she didn't. I believe what she heard. :twocents:

Exactly.

GZ made multiple claims about how the altercation started, first saying that TM "emerged from the darkness" like a ninja, and allegedly punched him in the face. Then it was "from the bushes." Of course, there weren't any bushes in the walkthrough, but whatever. He also changed what Trayvon supposedly said to him repeatedly. I can never keep this guy's story straight. Maybe it's because he told it before he knew the boy was on the phone with someone who heard what happened.

It is refusing to speak to police w/o an attorney present.

???????

Had to go into a meeting, listening on the radio, not watching, trying to figure what lawyer is questioning the witness?

Which lawyer is questioning her? Help!

ITA ... GZ should not be on trial. Between the media lynching, anti-defense bias and the coached witness, I feel so sorry for GZ.

I totally disagree, he shot an unarmed young person to death. He cost the HOA a million dollars, which means the people who live there fees will go up. He was only a neighborhood watch person. His job was to watch not follow or take the law into his own hands. He had certain rules to follow and chose not to follow them. I know I don't want a neighborhood hood watch person who's going to shoot people walking home minding their own business, in my neighborhood. I'm glad we have police patrolling our neighborhood daily and the worst thing that's happened here is some teens broke into vacant houses and made holes in the walls. Costing the home owners thousands. The HOA has kicked those families out.

She did say, or rather answered "yes" to a question asking if she changed a certain part of her story because she wanted GZ arrested, I can't remember the precise fact they were talking about, it was something sort of incidental but, still, looked horrible.

And, I think he would be calling for help just after he shot someone. IMO.

OMG, can the defense let this witness go now :banghead: She has answered these questions over and over again and he keeps on asking the same thing... Her speech is slow and she is hard to understand I don't blame her for not wanting to be there anymore. She can't add anything else to this.

i think she appears entirely authentic.

she is a 19 year old high school girl who does not want to be there, who is horrified to have been the last one on the phone when her friend [modsnip] another thing....the fact that she is admitting to minimizing issues in past conversations is, in the real world, NOT a bad thing. it is an HONEST thing. do we really believe that this girl was considering what would happen 16 months down the line when she decided not to tell trayvons devestated mother that he had referred to GZ as a creepy blankety blank? do people honestly believe that casts doubt on her credibility? really? do you have teenagers?

as for her speaking. look at the fb pages of modern day teens. and before claiming that yours would never speak that way, remember that for every public profile they know you're looking it, there are likely half a dozen you've never heard of. it is a different world for kids today than it was for most of us. [modsnip], this girl is responding no differently than the vast majority of her peer group, all races included.

and let's be real here....an attorney does not have to raise his voice to be harsh. west is irritating. and he knows he's irritating. and he's doing it on purpose. and that's to be expected as it's his job. but when you're 19 and you're crushed under a weight you never wanted to carry, and clearly were not prepared for, you react.

her testimony is raw. and that's why it's likely the least bs-tainted testimony we will see.

*FACTS*
GZ did say TM said that when he saw GZs gun and reached for it.

GZ also claims TM said "You got me" when he was shot in the heart.

*MOO*
I believe neither of those, they just both sound so absurd and I can not see TM using those kinds of words in that situation.

ETA- My *FACTS* should actually say "GZ claims as FACTS* as they are neither proven as true or false.
2nd ETA- Although I guess since I said "claims" that would cover it?
I could never be a lawyer, have to be so dang precise!

Oh, LOL, I thought you were asking about when a suspect "lawyers up." It is West questioning her.

Well according to George he was still screaming for help to subdue TM.

Rachel Jeantel learned how to present herself in court overnight - I am not saying she was coached - good for her! MOO
