Question for those who wish to answer and I may be able to glean which side you are already leaning towards, if you could state if you think GZ is guilty of the crime charged or not guilty, it would be helpful.

Considering all the non-testimony testimony presented by GZ (multiple interviews, re-enactments, written testimony, etc.) would you feel it would help YOU (depending on your position/opinion) form another opinion or reinforce your opinion if he testifies.

So many TH's are debating that with all the non talking talking he has done, he really doesn't need to testify while others feel he still needs to.

I'm curious what the WS world thinks.

Did you hear any of the jurors prospects saying that they were afraid to serve? Has any of these rally's supporting TM not chanted 'no justice, no peace'? I saw all that on national tv, I can't provide a link. Feel free to delete if improper.
I hope I am totally wrong. I wouldn't want to be in town when the verdict comes in, if he's found innocent, or if it's manslaughter and he gets like 3 yrs.
But I will say, I was very unhappy with the CA verdict, but all I could do was get over it.
It's all MOO, OMO etc...

"No justice, no peace" is a common chant at anti-police brutality protest rallies, isn't unique to TM and isn't talking about rioting.

They are laying their foundation and we can not know if they are "winning or losing" until they present all of their case. IMO.

For example, if I said I am going to the store, I'm loading my gun, strapping it on and then I got into my car. If you now know that I shot someone 10 minutes later, and that is all you might assume that the case is over.

The State is nowhere near finishing their statement...so to speak.

They still have to present all of the ME reports, ballistics, and other forensic evidence.

true "we" cannot know how they are doing, but the legal experts on television are paid a lot of money to say how they think it is going and they do so. and they have.

as to further evidence, imo (and the legal experts opinions) the state has already created significant reasonable doubt in the heart of their case.

I doubt they will present the ballistics reports because they CLEARLY back up GZ's account - the only way the bullet made that hole in the jacket was if TM was on top. imo (and according to the released report).

I am still waiting patiently for the ME to testify. IMO, if he/she states that the bullet's trajectory, etc. show that TM was on top when he was shot, the case is over.

ITA. Along with GZ's injuries, and IMO accurate description of the assault, that is the most important evidence. If GZ was on the bottom and TM was on top then we will know, IMO, beyond a reasonable doubt that GZ is telling the truth.

IMO, I don't see "reasonable doubt" at this point because IMO the sentence (so to speak) is not complete.

Sheaffer says he can't "overstate" the importance of this witness for the defense.

The JAG/instructor (?) on the stand just said when there is excessive force - as I believe there was, because, in my opinion, Trayvon punched George in the face, then started banging his head into the conrete - then the victim has the right to defend himself.

wow i love what the atty is doing with this moment.

Yes! Sheaffer is confirming what I just said. SYG and self defense are not the same thing. JMO. OMO. MOO. (Because I have trouble wrapping my head around these legal subtleties.)

Well I can't figure out as to what the difference is.

There are other reasons the shirt was away from his body by an inch or two. For example, if GZ had hold of TM's sweatshirt.

My brother lives in the area, and did not rely on FB postings when he told me yesterday that people there are very concerned. He's also known to be able to distinguish crap from reality from time to time...

Thank you for the confirmation. I'm in NJ, so obviously I'm out of the loop. I hope your brother is wrong, and I also hope that the people who inflamed this case come forward and explain to the community about the concept of "justice" and a "jury trial". That is of course, assuming there is a NG verdict.

However, I stand by my theory about most FB posts being full of crap.

He went on a ride along.. He did all the right paper work..

Sounds like his does things by the book and keeps to the laws to me.. OMO

The report I read stated just that. The pattern the bullet made on the hoodie showed that it was away from the body - he was leaning over and the hoodie was hanging down and away. IF TM had been on the bottom - the hoodie would have been flat against his skin and the bullet or powder residue or whatever the correct term would have been entirely different.

I agree with you - I think it will be one of the most important pieces of evidence and will fit right in with GZ's statements.

He did one in 2010..

That is it...

Again.. Silly information.. And should not be in the case.. IMO

  • #156
Why do I feel like maybe I should stop walking around at night IMO?

  • #157
I humbly propose that a gunshot is a higher level of force than a push, shove, punch, IMO, of course.

  • #158
"the lights are out. i dont know what is happening" ....right out of the GZ defense.

nice call SA. another defense witness.

  • #159
Who is skyping in???

I have seen that outside of the trial. Why wouldn't the prosecution present all the evidence? Oh well, if not, the defense will do it. I'll have to wait a little longer.
