So I push someone example being put forth is got to be a joke...right IMO?

Sheaffer was also thinking the Prosecution was winning the CA case (and we know what happened there).

No matter which side the talking heads/guests opine, it is what the Jury thinks.

JMO

Yep. There's that Florida jury factor to consider. JMO. OMO. MOO.

JMO

Everyone thought the prosecution was winning the CA case.

That's the only factor to consider. You never know what the jury is going to do.

I personally have seen many FB postings threatening violence if there is a not guilty verdict. I am also smart enough to know most of those people are full of crap.

Or are smart enough to try to incite other people to do it so they don't take the risk.

The person that starts a fight a lower level of force gets pushed back on his/hers butt harder.
The person that started the pushing confrontation can pull out his 357 and blow them away.
This is getting really ridiculous.IMO

IMO, I believe what happened that night was because of GZ, you never hear about TM, some people are making TM out to be a "bad guy" because he was beating GZ up, and yet why would he simply do that? He was the one WHO RAN, TWICE from GZ, so why would he lie in wait for him then punch him in the nose???? That doesn't make sense to me. If he wanted to confront GZ, he would have done so before he RAN. So, GZ is the victim in all this because he has injuries??? TM is dead because of GZ. I'm sorry but if GZ has injuries there was a good reason for hit, IMO. I think he was the one who started this and he also ended it. :twocents:

I am watching HLN IMO. Imperfect self defense is the subject.

You know, I'm starting to believe Crazy Mark Geregos when he said he believes the state is trying to throw this case.

Not knowing Geragos had made such a statement, I actually floated this theory to SO last night- that they're doing their jobs because they have to but their hearts are really not in to actually getting GZ convicted. He looked at me as though I had lost what's left of my mind- but it's a feeling I just cannot shake. And I HATE to agree with Geragos on anything.

I just want to say: I had a student that I absolutely loved. She had so much potential. I worked with her in an effort to bring out her attributes. That was 2002, iirc. Anyway, a year or so ago, I found out that she was in a lot of legal trouble. If I were put on the stand to testify re: that student when she was in my class...I would remember what I taught her and whether she attended on certain days...I have the records. But, no matter what she was accused of today, I would still say kindly, Hi CC, how ya doing!

That does not mean she is innocent of the crimes accused.

I live in Florida, but nowhere near Sanford, and it's like the entire state is holding its breath on this case.

I don't live in Florida but do live in the south. Regardless of the jury's decision, I think I will always have questions about both GZ & TM. JMO, but I think only GZ & God really knows what happened.

So the state's own witness testified that even if YOU start a confrontation and were getting beat up and fear for your life you CAN use deadly force to defend? Sounds like that was another state's witness that got turned -imo
Yikes! Sounds like we are moving back to the wild west . . . or maybe even some post-apocalyptic future where you can never be sure it is safe to go out in public. :scared:

Yes, he was on Anderson Cooper 360. The way he was laughing, he really sounded crazy (IMO). Guess that's the defense lawyer in him (also IMO).

I don't agree with Geragos at all. I don't think state is trying to throw a case-that's absurd. I think state's case is not good at all, so they are going with what they have.

Yep, except I'm not really sure GZ knows what happened either. :twocents:

wow the state is going all out on this line of inquiry.

the registrar for the CC.

they are going to show that the defendant desired to uphold the law.

that should swing the minds of the jurors to "hate, ill will" and all those RELEVANT factors in their titanic case.

I'm glad I'm not paying the SA's paychecks.
imo

It's like, imo, when an iffy student pads his class report with nonsensical items such as "It's a known fact," and "Everybody believes." When you have nothing, you throw in everything but the kitchen sink! Not that I've ever done that, of course. :blushing:

Who is skyping in???

I believe it is another professor; he is hiking in the desert somewhere near New Mexico and was "unavailable" for live courtroom testimony.

I would think if you have a case that's not very good, you call a few of your best witnesses and leave it at that.

Calling excellent witnesses for the defense and then serving them up to the jury on a silver platter seems very odd.
