I'm pro-prosecution and think the same. It's almost to the level of thinking he's "stealth" to throw the whole case. I don't really believe that but he's that bad imo.

I wonder if Mark Geregos will be on tonight repeating his theory that the prosecution is deliberately throwing the case!

Won't hold my breath until some one who is responsible informs the obtuse West that his queries do not pertain to THIS witness' job description.
This witness determines the cause of death....and is not the finger nail scraper, and according to what the ME was able to explain to him, West must not be familiar with Medical Procedures in the state of Florida following a killing. IMO I feel badly for the members of the public who paid for these clueless, meandering and excruciatingly obsteporous cross examinations. IMO

If you missed something it wouldn't be there. Brilliant West! IMO

IMO it was a great question. The witness has stated he only writes down what he thinks is important. And that what he thinks is important can change hourly.
The i don't know, I don't remembers are coming across as I don't give a damn. IMO

Wow I missed that little gem on my Taaffe boycott. ;)

Most likely...glad we don't have that long to wait in order to find out. IMO

Dr. Bao seems to remember much more about other cases (which he didn't perform autopsies) than he remembers about this case (which he did perform the autopsy).

Apologies for the poor sentence structure in this post.

Wow, interesting story about his interest in the current case victim surviving 10 minutes. Good testimony.

IMHO

I wonder if the detail level of the autopsy was somewhat less because the victim was unidentified when it was done? Just my own opinion - one I hope is not correct.

Thankfully I missed that set of events. So, no, I haven't seen the victim's family treated in such a disrespectful manner before, in front of a judge , during a trial. O'Mara tried to convey to Mrs. Fulton that she just didn't want to admit it was GZ's cries..as if she would be able to identify GZ's voice...among other villifying manourvers. He acused her of lying...in innuendo..et al IMO

I respectfully disagree that he was disrespectful, IMO. I did not take his question to mean that she was outright lying... I took it to mean that as a mother, it would be understandable that to consider the alternative (that the screams were George's) would be too difficult to bear because she would be admitting that her son may have done something wrong that night. That is about the nicest way possible you can ask that question. That are many defense lawyers that would have been FAR more nasty about it.

This case is so troubling for so many reasons. First and foremost, a 17 year old should never lose their life. And a family should never have to grieve for their child. As I've mentioned in a previous post, I would love nothing more than to see this family get peace and justice. I really do mean that.

But as I sit watching this trial, there is such a lack of concrete evidence proving 2nd degree murder that it's unsettling to me. IMO, it is very evident that these charges were only brought forward because of the public outcry. If there had been a grand jury, I seriously question if we'd be watching this trial right now.

The grand majority of the prosecution witnesses have flipped to defense witnesses. The prosecution continues to reach with theories and guesses and shoddy work. There is a problem here. As much as I want justice for all victims, I also do not want people convicted out of emotion and media pressure.

I do not consider myself a supporter of George. The little that I know about George, I don't particularly like him. I also do not consider myself a supporter of the defense. I am just somebody watching this as if I were a juror and the prosecution has not proven their case to me. The fact that they are struggling with the medical examiner so much at the finish line of their case is not just a fluke. It's another strong indication of the many holes in their case.

IMO

If I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know.. --Kansas

To bad Dr G didn't do this autopsy!

In the very unlikely event that George Zimmerman is convicted, this Judge's conduct is essentially a guarantee of a successful appeal. IMO.

Agreed. Sounds like something new or different has been realized by the ME and the suddenness of death in these two cases. IMO

Does anyone know how much time passed between TM being shot and the arrival of the EMTs?

  • #777
I wish he would have been so interested in Trayvon's autopsy. Why was he interested in the one 3 weeks ago but not Trayvons?

  • #778
This ME is confusing "research" and "information" with experimentation with human subjects.

Surely, you can RESEARCH how long someone can move after being shot in the heart, by reviewing past cases. You don't have to experiment on humans to find this out.

IMHO

Does anybody else have the OPINION, as I do, that the judge would jump down the defense attorney's throat if the witness spat in the defense attorney's face? JMHO

These medical examiners have been awful. I think Trayvon's parents deserve better than this. They have lost a son. They deserve a fair trial that has competent experts.

According to the commentators, the defense has their own forensic guy. Maybe we'll finally get some info.
