Well, in this climate, if I were a juror who was for acquittal I'd be SO GLAD the judge said it and not me.

I agree - there is certainly evidence that GZ knew the law, at least to some measure, and knew the use of his firearm in a deadly manner was serious GZ didn't shoot for the shoulder, or the foot, and his gun was loaded with a round in the chamber, ready to shoot, and the victim (and TM is the victim) had no DNA of the person he'd supposedly beat up on his hands - in my opinion, this is highly relevant - no one removed GZ's DNA from the bloody nose we've seen a picture of over and over again from the victims hands.

I'd feel safer if I believed GZ's story, I would like to think it were true - but I cannot - and TM cannot speak. in my opinion, logic does not support GZ's account.

IMO it's hard to "shoot for the shoulder" when your head is being pounded into concrete.

I would too. Probably less backlash to deal with, though the public is so woefully uninformed in this case, I'm sure the jury would get death threats anyway.

I don't know their stats, but they are AC go to guys for high profile cases according to this FL attorney I spoke with over July 4th.

Judge Nelson seems to be finally paying attention to Mr. O'Mara's argument.

Hopefully, she's listening & applying the law to the facts of this case.

That's what those people want to do - find and arrest fugitives.

Now that I've made a new rule that I can't get on the computer until certain chores are done, I've taken to watching morning shows like "Dog, the Bounty Hunter." What he and his family do is to get criminals off the street. That seems like a public service, in my opinion.

This new rule is working out very well, except that I don't get on the computer until MUCH later in the day, sometimes (today it was after 3:30)! :floorlaugh:

I think you would if a gun was pointing at your vital areas. IMO

You would be trying to wrestle the gun away, or you would be raising your hands in defeat. You would not keep punching the person with the gun. That just isn't logical!

Likewise, I have posted several links today to his violent past and disrespect for LE and his overall , apparently inherent , dishonesty. Can't find of a single speck of evidence that speaks to his being honest, in any situation that would speak to his not being beyond reproach.IMO

The problem with these is that they aren't factual. He was never arrested for domestic violence. The one time he was charged with a violent crime, it was dropped to a lesser (non-violent) offense.

This "history" is just as credible as Martin's beating up bus drivers and playing with guns.

Unless I was going to convict, I would be relieved, and in this case I still might be. I feel bad for the jury no matter how they decide. The media and different groups have fanned the flames of hatred and resentment on both sides.
