I'm listening to that 911 call and wondering why stalking is even brought up. IF gz was truly stalking tm then he wouldn't have honestly called 911 and tried to get someone over to where he was.

He would have just stalked and pursued him- he wanted the police to get there as soon as they could. It sounds like he was trying to find out his location so that he could give an address.

I hope he does testify. I think it would be very important to get his account of that day. I would want to hear from him. I also think it would help his case because he maintains he acted in self defense.

I think it would help a lot too.

I think he has to testify. Because he is saying self defense. He has to explain that.

Actually they do. kinda.. Even people who see things in front of them can not always tell the exact events even being there in the moment with smell, hearing, seeing the event.

Recordings can still be up to interpretation. And some may hear something different than others.

This is why I said in the beginning of this thread that not allowing the prosecution 'experts' to say that is in fact, TM screaming is a huge decision in this case. It's simply open to interpretation and I'm not sure the jury will be unianimous on that front.

I like this judge so far. It's 12:23 there and she's not halting for lunch. Seems like she likes to keep things rolling.

I am on the fence about the screams and who they belong to. It seems if it were Trayvon they would stop with being shot. If it were George screaming, would have have just stopped with the gun shot? I would think he would have just kept crying but maybe just emotionally or ??? I don' know.

Depends, did Trayvon die immediately? Being shot is probably quite painful and shocking. Could have been him. But I could be misunderstanding. I thought the screaming stopped when the gun went off. Am I wrong? Catch me up.

ETA: I haven't heard the 911 tape yet, only GZ's. I should probably listen to it at some point.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tG9RW3e5PQ\

I did a quick search to post this video that I have watched before (there is a newscast on either side of the video)

How does George end up where he is, which looks like sidewalk and pathways, not anywhere his car could be?

And how in the ,<modsnip> does Trayvon not have ANY of George's blood on him if this is what happened?

These are not the words of anyone OTHER THAN GEORGE!!!

The issue I have with the screams being TM's is, why would a person on top of the other, hitting him and beating his head in the ground be yelling help?? He would be in control and would have no reason to yell for help. He could at any point get off and run and that would be that..

We have a witness that says TM was on the top. We have wounds on the back of GZ's head.

So I need these things explained to me.

I wonder if they could get gz to shout for help like an example of his voice.

JMO, but I honestly believe it is George screaming because he was the one who had the broken nose and his head was being hit on the pavement.

Why would Trayvon be screaming if he was the one doing the beating?

I'm not normally a fan of defense attorneys but I'm actually liking Zimmerman's attorney's style and way of talking. Color me surprised!

Yes, I agree.

To what Marah and MeeBee said above (forgot to quote)-

That is the one thing that pushes me towards it being TM screaming help.
If it was GZ and he just shot a kid, would he not keep yelling "HELP!" to get people out there? If it truly was a self defense thing I would want to get people around.

Then again, he could have been in shock.

*Sigh* Nothing is gonna be easy with this case.

The person doing the beating would probably not be yelling for help. Even if TM spotted GZ's gun he still would not be yelling for help.

yep, he could of

yep, usually I'm on the prosecution side, but this time i'm on the defense's side.

Because it seems like GZ is telling the truth of what happened.

Hey, a one hour lunch instead of an hour and a half! There's a novel idea!

He would testify to prove self-defense. Don't defendants usually testify in SD cases?

His lawyers can't council him to lie though. Maybe there's a 'problem' that wouldn't stand up to cross.

the defense attorney is growing on me. Doesn't mean I believe his set of facts or the prosecutions yet, just he has recovered from the awful joke and is leading the jury through the narrative he will weave with evidence. It is an unusual style for an opening but I am not sure its less effective
