Sorry I posted about the knock knock joke after so many others had already done so, but I didn't see the other posts because this forum's posts has to be "approved" first for some reason.

JMO, but I'm not impressed with the defense attorney - his "personal" comments during opening, the knock-knock joke especially, and even the way he seems to just ramble. I'm having trouble following along with him.

Its important bc some jurors may feel that even his family isn't supporting him. Just a small layer that might hold against him if not explained.

They are not allowed to be in the courtroom because they are on a list to possibly testify.

Look above, a few links have been posted. Wild about trial is covering it. Sorry I couldn't be a better help. I can only read the trial today.

O'Meara is pretty highly well thought of in lawyer circles, even among prosecutors. Alas he's not the one doing the opening statement. I agree that the maps/flipboards are just diluting the statement. Just be concise, to the point.
