If he ran, how did he end up on top of him? That makes no sense. GZ did nothing to create a situation other than call LE and ask questions. Not exactly something worthy of escalation.

In the call that GZ made to the non-emergency hotline, he said that TM was running, so GZ got out of his car to find him, the dispatcher told him not to. I do not think TM waited around for GZ, why would he do that? From the witnesses reports I believe there was some fighting between them both, I do believe at one point TM was on top, but he would NOT have been on top had GZ simply went back to his car avoiding TM, why didn't GZ do that? Hope that made sense? lol

omg he is cute...do I have to repeat it

That is not how it works when someone is pounding your head into the ground. He was screaming HELP HELP!! and was all alone in the dark. I don't care how old TM was. He was beating the crap out of GZ. He was. There is no dispute to that.

Actually...sorry. But I dispute that. Wholeheartedly!

You don't get your head SLAMMED VIOLENTLY into sidewalk...repeatedly, as GZ has stated...and only have a surface scratch or two.

That's just my opinion of course. But no way that happened the way GZ stated. We will have to wait to see what evidence is presented to see if I am wrong.

Consequently, he was looking for trouble and quite frankly I am unable to take GZ's word for it that he was attacked first...or perhaps not at all. His head wound could have been caused from falling over backward on the wet lawn.

No way. Not those injuries. No way.

He was not looking for trouble. He was looking at someone he found suspicious. He called police ASAP. Gave them a description. He did what he was supposed to.

Right, it's the DEAD kids fault. He didn't do what he should have--let's just forget if GZ had made the call to LE and stayed in his truck the incident wouldn't have occurred at all.

I also have to think that if TM did put GZ on the ground Zimmerman chose to go for his gun rather than to defend himself- he feared for his life but didn't land one punch?

Just because he's dead doesn't mean he was in the right in this particular situation.

Nope, then he could shoot. Instead he blasted away at a child. No warning, and i take the blink of an eye rule seriously. If he had time to unholster and work the trigger action he had time to decide to kill or warn.

Even if he would of said that, it would only be his word I doubt anyone else would of heard that. Would you have believed him?

I am of the opinion it was Trayvon screaming for help though. He had someone who would logically be called dangerous, following him in the dark night and obviously up to no good. Why would someone follow another if they were. He confronted him to protect himself from being leapt on and beaten by GZ imo. GZ had no business being out of his car or away from the mailboxes where he was originally asked to wait.

This poor kid. He's so cute not knowing that he has to respond to being sworn in. Hope he does ok. I feel bad for him, so young.

  • #630
For being so young, this guy is a very good witness - only answering the question he is asked. He looks nervous, but is doing well. MOO

The thing that keeps popping up in my mind is that most likely TM was so much faster than GZ. If he would have ran, There is no way GZ would have caught him. Why did he come back to confront GZ? He had to have because GZ had lost him.

Exactly, and as the pros. emotionally pointed out, he was thin and in good shape. Could easily have outrun GZ.

It would have been recorded on the cell phone so yes i would believe him. There is NOTHING on that cell phone that suggests he gave any warning death was about to face that child.

Do we know that this neighborhood had a HOA? If you could, provide a link because I cannot find this information.

TIA!

Plus you cannot say HOA in that broad a generality. My HOA has no rules against a NW carrying a gun. I would like to see that link too. jmo

Have you ever had your head pounded into the sidewalk? Or had a child bang their head on the pavement?? Most times there are no open bleeds. They bang their heads and then swell. It is actually more dangerous because they can have closed head injuries that can kill them.

HE was not on a NW time. He was on his own time. With a permit to carry legally.

Who said that? GZ? Yes. IMO a self serving statement I doubt there will be evidence he was going to Target.

GZ made it racial by using the excuse of recent AA robberies. He has a history of violence. TM did not.

Looking for trouble? Lol he was on the phone with police.

Crazy how FLA law rules - remember FKC had her 'rents in the courtroom?

They were able to get around that because the Anthony's were considered "family" of the victim. The judge here had no latitude according to the case law she cited.

So it is okay to profile GZ but not TM??

He was not dangerous. He just happened to spot TM standing on a friends property and called the police. That is not suspicious. If he was up to no good he would not have called the police.
