perhaps the better question here is: what makes anyone think that GZ stopped?

Yes, I absolutely do.

TM was doing nothing more than walking to the store and back. He was profiled, followed and murdered. IMO. There wasn't a reason in the world why, other than he was black and wearing a hoodie. Nothing TM did was "suspicious" or "up to no good" even the call to 911 was ridiculous.

As the mother of a black 6' foot tall 15 year old....damn skippy... I think it was ALL GZ!

If GZ didn't have a hero complex, he wouldn't be where he is and TM wouldn't be dead.

Absolutely incorrect. TM attacked GZ. That's why he was shot. There were break ins in the area, TM fit the profile of people who committed burglaries. Common sense to call 9-11 to report it, and he defended himself as he had the right to do.

Okay I see your point.. But never in all my trial watching have I seen someone call the police before killing someone they intended to kill. They call after and make up lies and stories and cover up and act grieved.. but I have never seen anyone plan to kill someone can call the police before they even committed the crime.

IT just makes no sense. That is my thinking when I say he was not hunting him. If he was looking for someone to kill that night he would not have called the cops FIRST>

It's illegal to cut across a lawn? Was he opening a window, door? Or standing/walking across a lawn?

If it ain't your property, you have no right to be there. Even in housing communities there is designated property lines.

I honestly believe that if TM had been white there would have been no phone call let alone a cold blooded killing.

You have a right to your beliefs, but we have no way of knowing if this would have been the case: RZ knew juveniles robbed some homes, if he had seen a white youth acting strange, walking around looking at houses, staring at him, he very well could have made the 911 call. If his life was then threatened, he very well could have also shot. That's my honest belief.

Thanks! I think he stopped because the background "wind" noise stopped. Then he started answering the NEN operators questions about location and which way he ran.

With his gun you can't unintentionally murder someone. It takes definitive positive actions to enable it to fire. So ipso facto, he intended to shoot and given where he shot, he intended to kill. All because a black kid wearing a hoodie was walking on a lawn.

This is false, he wasn't ordered to do anything. The 911 operator has no authority to tell GZ what to do. So no, he did not break the law then. He didn't even break the law following TM because that is not against the law.

It is true because the Police Dispatcher in Florida is formally known as A Police Technician and works hand in hand with Police Officers in patrol cars, as well as other Public Safely Personnel, whilst speaking with the caller, she or he is in liaison with the Police directly and relays their orders and suggestions to the caller, such as " No need to grab a butcher knife or run or hide or follow or whatever be the case." Often they tell the caller to "Stay right where they are" et al. What they say is official, as Police Techs.

GZ deliberately ignored the instruction. Which was a grave mistake, no pun intended.

In my opinion, cutting across a lawn is illegal, immoral, an act against nature, rude, crude & ignorant. A rant because so many kids cut across my and my neighbors' lawns. When I was growing up, we were taught to not do that. It is my pet peeve, and, no, I don't pack heat and I wouldn't shoot one of the suckers. MOO

I haven't seen evidence of a broken nose in the trial. Or a concrete skull bashing. But if I remember correctly he didn't have an xray or dr. visit. Nurse Shelly bandaged him??????

per his own words, he was in pursuit when he spoke to NEN.

he refused to provide a location where LE could meet him. instead, he wanted them to just call his phone when they got in the area.

does this really sound like someone who planned on going straight back to his truck, not continuing to pursue? i find that completely unbelievable.

They should also be cautioned to alert police or deputies when encountering strange activity. Members should never confront suspicious persons who could be armed and dangerous.

Patrol members can be equipped for their duties. For example, flashlights or searchlights are necessary for night patrols.

And this manual is related to Zimmerman, how? These are suggested guidelines for neighborhood watch programs. Did his subscribe to these guidelines? Adhering to them is not obligatory or mandated by any law. I'm not sure how this indicates what he was factually "supposed" to do.

No it is when he attacked GZ. GZ was beaten and bloodied. A witness saw TM on top of him. That is fact.
