Enough Tylenol will too. That's what my sister used all the time on her kids.

Another thing that I just found out today...on most kids under 5, caffeine has a reverse effect, it hops up adults, but knocks kids out. Unfortunately, in children it can also cause seizures or heart issues.

What if it wasn't Casey that had the seizure, but Caylee? She used caffeine to drug the kid until it didn't work anymore and then moved on to chloroform?

There are other things that will sedate without having the side effect of being a carcinogen.

Obviously the girl knew it causes cancer...she was researching it on the web, after all.

Darn webcam has been stuck for quite some time now...don't those people ever go home? I thought we were bad on this forum, being glued to the case.

Maybe she thought no one would ever suspect her, because the idea was to make it look like someone else did it.
exactly. And premeditation all the way! This was no accident imho

My Pediatrician even recommended it for flights with my little guy to sleep...I am always afraid of overdosing etc..kind of an uptight mom, so I never used it. I also put a stick on heart shaped temp. reader on my son for the first month of his life worried he would get a high temp and I wouldn't know.

That's because you're a good mom! We recently started using Benadryl on my 18 month old. His pedi said he has the worst seasonal allergies he's ever seen on a baby. I am telling you, he gets it, then sleeps immediately. Its crazy! I have also heard of people giving it to kids for plane rides. I don't know if I would do that - there would have to be a medical reason for me I think.

But chloroform? God help me - I need sleep - I typed chlorophyll!

I don't think that the chloroform overdose was accidental.

Couldn't she achieve the same effect with Benadryl or some other over-the-counter med?

Why use the archaic and dangerous chloroform if all she wanted to do was make Caylee sleep a few hours?

Researching Chloroform on the internet proves pre-meditation. LE still has to prove COD first.

I am not convinced it was not put there specifically to support the carjacking theory, or to frame someone else. Im not buying it had anything to do with Caylee's death. It is not supported by the other evidence for me, imo

grrrrrrrrr.... that is DIS~GUSTING! So, has Geraldo really moved on to politics for good? (I am using you guys as my eyes and ears...dh is kingpinning the tv)

I don't think so. I think he'll spend a little time on politics, move to talk about hurricane Ike for a bit, then back to the Casey case with Dr. Boden. He lost his earlier connection with Dr. Boden, so I'm sure he will bring him back to talk forensics..

Except for the crumpled crime tape, which is comedy gold.

My head hurts from all this cholorform stuff. Here's a new thought. WHAT IF KC found the choloroform in GGM house. We know she got into the bedroom to steal the checks - could have been going thru bathroom looking for some "good stuff" ya know all those old folks have the "good stuff" but she found an old old bottle of cholorform. That one caller on NG the other night said she found a bottle of it cleaning out her GM's house. I had the same chore a few years back and man oh man the stuff I found in her house - so KC pockets this bottle of choloroform. She researches it and maybe even tries it on Caylee once or twice. Fast forward - GA comes home with the "smelly" car. KC is NOT the neat freak that CA is and has just thrown the bottle in the trunk and GA comes across it - thinking he can maybe "clean" that smell up with it and the rest is history.

How else would you explain "significant" levels STILL in that car after so many days? That stuff is supposed to dissapate rapidly.

IDK just thinking out loud here. Whatcha all think?

I have an autistic son that some nights only sleeps 20 minutes in a night and I won't even fill the prescriptions for the sedatives that were prescribed. I can't believe ever using chloroform on my kids. Or even Benadryl.
But then again, I'm an odd mom, if he doesn't want to sleep, cool means more play time.

Only if it was researched prior to her disappearance, which has not been verified; if after, I say framing or cover up, and that points a finger for me.
