Circumstances of Disappearance
Barbara disappeared on her way to a playground near her home in Burscheid-Kleinhamberg in 1962. Convicted serial killer Joachim Kroll confessed fourteen years later to sexually assaulting and killing her after dragging her into a field where no one could see. Her remains were never located.
