This Case is repeated on TV today on Vanished: The Search for Katrice Lee on CH5 and I just feel so sad for the parent of Katrice but there is just no evidence at all to say she is dead. I remember reading or watching about there being some open day at a college or something nearby the supermarket and I just think it makes the whole situation look like a possible kidknapping scenario and perhaps a predator thought it was a good opportunity to find a young teen and came across a kid alone. Or perhaps Katrice wondered off and went into a goods lift and an accident occur and was covered up? It's Military grounds I believe so a coverup could be likely hardly.
Sadly it doesn't seem like it'd been thoroughly investigated. I have only heard about it recently and I'm 3 years older than Katrice. So many years on now and if the area was so busy with families people may have been preoccupied. So many years on who would remember? Furthermore was the supermarket closed instantly? Properly investigated? Staff interviewed?
Part of me thinks alive. She was a barely a toddler and wouldn't kick up a fuss for long as much as an older child. It's easy for her to grow up and not know this happened.
Perhaps sold on the black market to childless parents.
My heart breaks for the family. Seeing them in this documentary without their child and sister. They are bereft. And completely let down by police and the military. Its truly heartbreaking to see this

I'm going to recommend this case to Crime YouTubers to cover. Please anyone do the same. The family are desperate and need to know and God forbid they die and don't have closure

Katrice has been missing for 43 years today and today is also her 45th birthday. Her father did a very moving interview appealing for information on Good Morning Britain this morning, appealing for information. I can’t imagine the emotional pain and significant stress Katrice’s father and her family have endured since she disappeared. He has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about his daughter’s appearance and the strength he has shown is remarkable. I really hope Katrice’s family get the badly needed tips and information they need to make a breakthrough and find out what happened to her and who is responsible.

‘I remember the pair of them playing hide and seek one day. Katrice had hidden behind some big, long curtains but her little feet were poking out. We could clearly see her, but she thought she was invisible. Natasha came in and joked “Oh, I can’t see Katrice, I’ll go look somewhere else”. She was very protective of her younger sister.’

Katrice always stays in my mind. I so hope her dad and family get the answers they so rightly deserve

It is shocking that this case is nowhere near as well known as Madeleine McCann or even Ben Needham. This is an extremely sad case. I pray that Katrice is still alive and living a happy life.

It would obviously be very unlikely with over 8 billion people in the world, but I saw a woman last week at Wilko in Exeter who looked like the age progressed photo of Katrice and her child was the spitting image of her.
Yes it’s unlikely but it’s still a possibility. I sort of hope it was her so that one day her dna will be out there on some ancestry style website and someone will work it all out

Natasha Walker, 51, is an HR administrator. She lives in Portsmouth, with her husband Mike, 39, an aircraft technician, and their two Australian shepherd dogs, Wilf and Luna. Her sister, Katrice Lee, disappeared from a supermarket in Schloss Neuhaus Paderborn, West Germany, aged two, on 28th November 1981. She says: "It was Katrice's second birthday when she went missing.

The way the case was handled was appalling from the start, and the military and police were shambolic. There wasn’t much of a search in the first 48 hours. Police assumed she’d run off to the river and drowned.

"The fight and the pain my parents have endured for nearly 45 years, I can’t even tell you. And that was just the beginning. We’ve had online trolling for two decades, people accusing my parents of murder. People have openly commented, ‘the parents did it’, ‘it’s fishy’, ‘why didn’t they have reins on her?’

*****
"As I speak to you now, there’s someone in America claiming to be Katrice. She’s set up a GoFundMe to come to the UK. And she’s not the first. There have been several others.

I hope money grabs like this are shut down and any donors will have their money returned. People who do this are awful.
