The family revealed police are investigating a possible sighting of a "confused" man on Wednesday in the Buxtehude area of the city.

Speaking to Newsbeat in Hamburg, Eamonn has sent a message to Liam, saying: "Please, please come home. Everyone misses you. You're very much loved."


"I don't know what happened to you, just please get in touch, find a way."

Until Liam's family finds out what happened, Eamonn's wedding won't be a priority.

"The wedding is not even a thought to me or my fiancee", he says.
"It won't be going ahead without Liam.

"I can't even say 'if'. When we bring him home, we can worry about the wedding. It's not a thought just now. We're just doing whatever we can to find him."

He could have even ( possibly ) jumped in a truck and fallen asleep as in this missing person who was located, case i referenced earlier. imo, speculation.

He could have taken the S-Bahn (metro train), this one operates directly from Reeperbahn to Buxtehude the whole night. Maybe he wanted to try getting to the hostel, took the wrong train and fall asleep and then just went out somewhere (i spent some time falling asleep after a party night, ooops)

I feel so sad for them. This was supposed to be fun and the photo looks like they really had a good time.

It was said he was seen on CCTV walking towards the bus and train station. If he had entered the station and taken a bus or train surely they would have seen him on camera there too? Hopefully they'll find more footage of him. I'm always surprised (and frustrated) that with all the surveillance cameras nowadays they usually only find a few seconds of footage with a missing person on it. What happened afterwards? The person should have been on multiple cameras as they kept walking or boarding a bus or whatever.

Yep, the S3 would directly take him there (and the train from Hamburg Reeperbahn to Buxtehude is even heading in the right direction to their hostel).

So far, they have 10 witness leads. One of them from Buxtehude. A bakery shop assistant said she probably saw Liam and that he was speaking English. They then used a mantrailer dog and the dog followed the trail from Bahnhofstrasse to the station in Buxtehude.

Another hint led to Wohlwillstrasse in Hamburg St. Pauli but a mantrailing dog didn‘t pick anything up at this location.

His friends and family and police have been following up a reported sighting of a man matching his description in Hamburg's Buxtehude area.
Mr Colgan's friends said there had been further similar sightings in the same area since then.
The man was described as being in confused state, and intimated he was from Scotland.

Well, this is good news...more sightings in the same area....I would like to be hopeful...
 
Following. This has me thinking of Lars Mittank :( I do hope Liam is found long before the amount of time has with Lars though.

However, a maintrailer dog has not picked up anything there. They also once again searched the industrial area on Friday afternoon but supposedly without results.

This is good. The sightings are good. There wasn't enough of this for Lars.

I wonder if Liam has suffered a head injury. Or has taken something in his drink, either knowingly or unknowingly.
 
Sorry, this may be somewhere here but did Liam & his family/friends know anyone live in Germany at all? Were they meeting people out there etc?

According to news reports, Liam planned the trip and all activities for the group but has never been to Hamburg before. No mention of knowing or meeting someone from Germany.

Sorry it was ao hostel. Nearest stop was Berliner tor. Across the road from a skate park.
