its possible that up to setting off across the park he is nothing more than very drunk and the booze is kicking in more. hes got a direction to go and as known sets off into the houses. hes certainly a bit unsteady. theres a underground carpark entrance in his way.im not saying hes down there i wondered if he fell and hurt him self there.

Yes possible. I feel the whole area should again be searched with a fine tooth comb. Maybe a 1km radius around the last seen location. I mean how far could he have stumbled in the cold, and so very drunk, before attempting to lie down somewhere, or falling down/into something?

In his condition, I could see him saying "english, english" if he were trying to communicate with a driver (taxi or otherwise) who was speaking German to him.

Yes I could also see that. The driver replying "Englische Planke?" and Liam again saying "Yes, english", and off they go.

if he was just drunk and got to the point he was unsteady to the point he was tripping over he didnt go far.booze gets worse before it gets better and hes only an hour after last drink.blood alcohol has to be still going up.and he must have been getting cold even if he didnt register that properly.

the information as far as i understand is that he walked off across the park and into the houses to the left,ie where the entrance to the underground car park is...is that captured on cctv, im just wondering if its assumed or known. its one thing setting off in a direction doesnt mean u went that way......

The CCTV was recorded east of the building (where it says „Überwachungskamera“ in the image). It was earlier reported that the witness helped Liam into the Michelwiese park where he then walked towards Portuguese quarter (west). It was also reported that another CCTV recorded a person walking into Portuguese quarter who appeared to be Liam (timeframe would also be right) but it was noted that the person was not clearly recognizable (probably grainy images).

would make sense as if its that top exit the road would take him back up to the road junction he came passed, or actually as i think about it he could have come down... its still if he did end up 20 k away wat happened in the 3 days...i know even if people are very drunk and stumbling they can still walk a long way but the route to the station isnt exactly easy.

I think the Buxtehude sighting should be taken with a grain of salt. Police said the female Buxtehude tipsters have a history of reporting or making complaints to police extraordinarily often. They also said the fact the dog picked up a scent there over a short distance could have been a mistake.

I know nobody wants to assume the worst and I hope for a good outcome too, but German police meanwhile believes Liam had a tragic accident and pretty much ruled out the other theories they had, memory loss was one of them. They consulted medical specialists who said amnesia is conceivable in this case but wouldn‘t last that long. They also investigated withdrawals from his bank accounts and concluded he neither had withdrawn enough money nor he has a motive to disappear by his own choice. There is no electronic trail he left. There is no clue a crime has been committed. In the SPIEGEL article posted earlier Eamonn says he doesn‘t want to give up hope anyway unless there is proof Liam is not alive anymore. I hope Eamonn is right and Liam suddenly appears out of the blue or that Eamonn will at least have closure if they don‘t find him alive. Uncertainty must be devastating for him and his family and friends.

Most German houses have basements but they usually are not accessible from the outside (and if they are, doors are typically locked). There are 2 public washrooms in the area (see image, Michelwiese is the little green area to the very right).

your right..for the family its the hope is is alive..until u find a body he isnt dead...and closure one way or the other...trails have been deemed closed before but later new evidence has come about...the authorities dont have the time or resources to carry on regardless they can end up treating it as just another tourist missing. ive been looking at another high profile case that has had extreem amounts of resources thrown at it and hit a wall of people saying its all been done,experts way above ur pay grade have stalled ext ext ect. funny i had a cold case officer here and showed him something that his reply was erm yeh we didnt see that..now it doesnt help them directly but it proves u never give up.....i spent a lot of years trouble shooting problems and going head to head with such people and me and the team lernt u ask every question stupid or not.u ignore the people who are negative..in a case like this u have nothing to loose and although u may not fall on the anwer you can throw things to the bottom of the list. its such a shame its so far away id luv to go walk the route..

What would be interesting is if someone who has some time on their hands and is familiar with past WS cases where an intoxicated young man went missing, could go through those threads and note down how far from the location last seen they were found deceased, and where (most were found in water I think). I don't feel well today and am barely able to get my basic stuff done, I won't be able to spend much time on front of a screen today, although this information would really interest me right now.

Without compiling the stats, it is true that the "went missing from the bar" males end up in the water in high proportions. Entry point is generally within 1/2 mile of the drinking establishment. Let us hope Liam beats those statistics and shows up not too worse for the wear.

The Roxborough native was last seen early Thanksgiving morning as he left Kildare's Irish Pub along Main Street in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Manayunk.

Pings from his cellphone put him within a mile of the bar within an hour of his disappearance and surveillance video shows the West Chester University student walking toward the Manayunk Canal and Schuylkill River. Despite many searches on land, in the water and from the air, there have been no strong leads as to where Montgomery went.
