Found Alive Germany - Maria-Brigitte Henselmann, 13, Freiburg, 4 May 2013

  • #341
The petition on behalf of Maria Henselmann is Geschlossen ( closed). Because they reached their number of sigs and it has been presented.

They can't be surviving in the wilds out there in Poland - they're at a campsite somewhere.

I wish Haase would send Maria home. Winter is coming and whatever new life he promised her, it wasn't freezing in the middle of a forest. Maria needs a nice, warm, comfortable home with her own bedroom.

Ah, thank-you zwiebel, I thought the Petition had closed for another reason because I didn't understand the message - so it good to hear they presented it!
Oh goodness, yes Winter is upon you in the Northern Hemisphere there - this is not good at all. She would have already maybe experienced the floods - now the cold of winter and snow as well.
He's quite welcome to freeze his butt off in the woods - but this is not fair to Maria.
Send her home Haase!

Honest Fig Tree, he might be deluding himself that he can 'live off the land', but he can't. German people are telling me so, and our winters are not as severe as Poland's.

It is all coming to an end now - where is he going to run where people don't know about the case now? Russia? It will be easy enough to get the word out there too.

It is time for Maria to come home. That should be the end of this story. Before Weihnacht (Christmas). That would be the best Christmas present anyone who really loved Maria could give her. Send her home, and let her grow up with children her own age, and learn with them. So that she learns enough to make her own decisions, when she is old enough.

Haase can redeem himself by sending Maria home - it is a last chance to do so and he should take it.

Note: it was really sunny and hot today, and camping would be fun, if you like it (I don't). But winter is coming and we are talking about conditions way below freezing, everyday. This year will not be an exception and I am already preparing.

I assume that the Polish Military has Field Police just like the Feldjagers in the German Military? I found the Feldjagers to be efficient, rugged and able to work in darn cold weather conditions. Perhaps they could check all the known camp sites and homeless camps?

Thanks Trackergd. I have about three words of Polish, but I think I know where to find that info.

I found this recent Polish article, but it's confused me a little.

It seems Maria and Haase were 'camping out' in his vehicle ( with stolen plates from Saxony, not France). His dog was dumped in his allotment. That's a kleingarten. There were other articles that said his dog was left in his garden, or yard.

Now you can rent a kleingarten with a little vacation home in it at short notice, but then why were they camping in the car? As for renting a kleingarten without a house - they are either owned by the town or locals. If they do come up for rent, there are forms to be filled and deals to be done, and it's long term, not for vacations. Not without a house.

Is it possible he arranged that rental a long time ago?

The Federal Criminal Police in Poland are in charge of the investigation, and extending it to neighbouring states. They sound sort of FBIish. But Wiki says Polish police don't operate anything like the US or Germany. Because it is a national force, local crimes can sometimes get neglected. Municipal police can concentrate on them more, but they don't have the same powers and aren't armed with guns.

Maria and Haase are going to stick out like a sore thumb, living rough in Poland, with Fall approaching and word going out.

Where will he head next? Back to Eastern Germany? Or maybe try his luck in a small village in the Czech Republic? I think that's likely. I wonder if he is carrying spare vehicle plates, so he can buy another vehicle and put the plates on it?

I hope Deutsch police are really looking into where Haase was before he got to Poland, and if he had any help on his way through Germany, or if there are any people out there with information, who haven't come forward yet.

What do people think about all those sightings in Switzerland now? Was it really them, and Haase has been going back and forth across Germany? Or were they false sightings, and they were in Poland for most of the time.

As far as I can tell, the translations that come up with Haase as an electrician are misleading - he was an 'electronic communications officer', a completely different thing. I am certain he is following the search online, but I'd like to know how. You can't buy burn phones in Germany, I don't believe.

I think he may have just dumped the dog in someone else's kleingarten. The dog was easily identifiable by the tattoo in its ear ( is being cared for by residents, dog lovers. Thank you, those Polish residents.)

They were seen several times, but only in July. Gorlitz (Gorlice) is only 30km from Slovakia. Sigh. The crossing of borders makes the search very difficult. I think Haase is very well aware of that.

Social media really is the best tactic, imo. Getting Maria and Haase's faces out in every country in Europe, so they will be recognised everywhere.

I WISH Bernhard would buy Maria a train ticket home, put her on it and then call LE, or her Mom or the PI.

FigTree, is there any way you could produce a couple of photofits with Haase in hats? A cowboy-style, leather hat or a baseball cap seem to be the most popular here.

I'll give it a go. The pictures of Haase are not very clear, though where there's a will there's a way ;) Let me see what I can do.

I noticed there was also a new picture in the posters of Haase too.

Mother appeals: "Bring me my child"
11th September 2013

For four months, the 13-year-old Maria is gone. Together with a 40 year old man in the stern their mother for the first time about the lost daughter. Eißele By Ingrid

Police fahndet internationally by Haase
The high school student last year had befriended children in an Internet chat with the 14 year old allegedly "Carlie". In a personal meeting with the girl he had, however, as 53-year-old father from the North Rhine-Westphalian Blomberg turned out. Despite Internet ban and a warning of Haase's step-daughter, her father was a pedophile, the girl had secretly recorded repeatedly Contact Haase. "Mary was no rational grounds accessible," said the mother to the star . On 4 May the teenager disappeared with the man "In my eyes, their response was an escape," says Beisler. She suspects that her daughter found in a dilemma between her family and her companion and protector have developed feelings for Haase.

Finally, the 13-year-old and Haase were seen in July in the Polish Gorlice, escape routes should not have used the girl. Monika Beisler to the star : "I have no thoughts of revenge he shall bring my child Then he can disappear from me..."

I wish they had released that internet handle of his earlier. We might have found something, but I bet he's deleted it now. I am still very suspicious about him changing number plates in Saxony, and wonder if he had help.

If Haase brings Maria back to Germany, in certain areas there are a lot of old, unrenovated houses there that can be rented very cheaply. Although I think it would still be very difficult for him to find someone willing to do that without having any oaperwork - or recognising him. I'm still thinking the Czech Republic might be the natural, next country for them to head towards.

I too, really hope Maria is okay.

I think Haase would be hard pressed for anyone to help him now - legitimately, and if they did, what kind of risk is Maria at - and what kind of person are they! And as you say zwieb, someone will recognize them, regardless of where they go.
Every day that goes by is another day when this could be over.
Maria should be home now.

Thinking of you Maria.

Oh for heaven's sake. Die Welt has pixellated the photo of Maria, because she is a minor.

http://www.welt.de/vermischtes/article116273737/Bitte-findet-Maria-wir-vermissen-sie-so.html

But she is missing! She has been abducted! Bringing her home is more important that her privacy at this moment. I shake my head at this, I really do. Even if a newspaper has a general policy, there are always exceptions to a rule.

Kind of pointless, too, seeing as how the same page has the missing poster with the same photo unpixelated. Go figure...

There is a very long article to read published in the last week.
Well worth the read with some new insights into this situation...

Report Stern. 13th Sept 2013. Read more...Chat is not punishable
The image of the family Idyll, as described by friend March is questionable. Last year the stepdaughter of h under a pseudonym in the chat logged with Maria. "Maria, you have no idea what we have already suffered", warns the girl, as Mary's mother remembers the words in the chat log. Haase's determined she points out that "Charlie" was a grown man--and pedophile. Maria turned on stubborn. No room for reason in the middle of the crush of a young girl.

Not only the daughter warned Maria, Haase's own wife, who discovered the chat on the computer and simply showed her husband a year ago. Police and prosecutors in Detmold determined on suspicion of sexual abuse. But the investigation went into the sand. "To read it, as if the girl in the man who fell, there was a crush," says Christopher Imig, spokesman for the public prosecutor's Office.

snip to:
....he wanted spontaneously surprise a friend. Then, she says, she got lost. Then, she wanted to take a taxi home. 45 Minutes Monika Beisler waited outside the door, but there was no taxi. "Maria, here is what not, I now hang up and call the police, which locates your mobile", she said to her daughter.

It is the last telephone conversation between Monika Beisler and her daughter, the last sign of life. Then, Maria and Haase will disappear. The police checked the tracking data from Mary's cell phone, it turns out: she was all the time in a hotel with Bernhard Haase. Barely a kilometre away from the parental home.

I find that very, very disturbing.

Is that the idea of a 13-year-old, to sit in an hotel, manipulating and tormenting her Mom with worry, and mislead her about where she is? Or is that the work of a twisted, adult man?

I am still favoring the Czech Republic as his next chosen destination after Gorlice (Gorlitz) in Poland. If you look at the confirmed sightings so far, Haase hasn't been that adventurous. He has stuck to places where German is spoken and understood by lots of people, and the way of life is not too different.

For reasons that I don't really want to go into here, I think there may be a good possibility Haase received help in Saxony, and may be able to call on it again. I hope I am wrong though.

This man should have been taken in for questioning long before he abducted Maria, in my opinion. Once he did abduct her, a full scale alert should have been launched immediately. He has simply got to be finding shelter somewhere now.

I think at this stage, messages being sent out to Haase are a waste of time. I don't think he is going to send Maria home. If I was family, I'd be sending Maria messages now. Telling her to run at the first opportunity, into a public place and shout out her name and that she is an abducted child and someone should help her. If she is anywhere in Germany, they will. I am certain of it. We read of so many abducted children who get locked into a cycle of silence and fear and only break out after years and years.

We even hear of them being taken out into public places, talking to people normally, and being afraid or even embarrassed to say they have been abducted. I wish Maria's supporters in Germany would start telling her it is all right to run away, and people WILL understand because they all know about her.

I wonder if we could enlist the help of others who were abducted for Maria, whose names are very well known?

Okay, the article has just been translated for me, in full. I am horrified. Shocked.

Maria has been really badly let down by all the authorities in this case, in my opinion. So has her Mom. Mom was left to do the job police and magistrates should have done, totally on her own. I am going to post a full translation of this article in my own words, so I don't infringe copyright. If anybody thinks I am being unfair to the authorities involved, I will happily be corrected.

I wish we had a few more US posters in this thread. I would like to see their reaction to this.
