Giant Rabbit

Cute picture. We can't put our bun-buns outside in their playpen. We have a raptor rehab center about 15 - 20 miles away and just a large population of raptors in general. You can look up on any given day and see or hear 2 -3 of them. We would have to be on constant lookout for incoming if we put them out for a few.

That was TOOO funny. That bunny ain't takin' no s^%$ offa anybody!! Musta had babies nearby.

As for the big bunny thing, bunnies can be viscious sometimes - they can really bite and kick the living crap out of you with their back legs. These big boys need to be handled with caution - as with any animal!!

But, adorable anyway!!
I was once bitten by one of my rabbits... She was pregnant and I went to feed her... I guess she was in labor and she quick as a flash got my arm.
It was possibly the worse bite I ever got on the farm .....

I grew up on a farm as well. I never got a rabbit bite, but had one scratch the crap outta my neck, chest and arms - musta been squeezing too hard.

Anyway, a rabbit this size could really do some damage. Hope they are also bred for good temperment.

I don't know about the breed pictured but I use to have some Flemish Giants and they were extremely sweet and docile.

I know this sounds lazy, but I don't want to look up how to translate that rabbit's weight into lbs and oz. Can anyone enlighten me as to Herman's weight? Thanks.

I had no idea he was breeding these rabbits for food! He makes me sick! Nobody buys rabbit fur anymore? Where are the animal rights activists for this?

I see nothing wrong with trying to feed hungry people. I think he sells them to North Korea, haven't read your link yet but read something about this.
To me the crime is not using the fur. If you are going to kill an animal for food, like a cow, you should not waste any of it. Rabbits are eaten and sold in supermarkets. Too bad these cuties are to be eaten. I did read there was a vicious large rabbit loose in England terrorizing people when it got into their gardens. Rabbits this big look to dangerous to cuddle.

But there is so much of them to cuddle! lol
You may be right about some danger though.
