I honestly don't know how y'all are seeing anything other than dark and light blobs. Is this the new puppy/vape/zipties/plastic bag/baby goat a la Delphi? Or is everyone looking at something I missed?

Pareidolia is my least favorite part of online sleuthing.

And that uncertainty led to these thoughts. Aren’t some hair wigs made from synthetic or artificial fiber? Others, perhaps from natural hair? I am not sure, but perhaps depending on which they might find trace evidence consistent with his hair. Although current published reports seem to indicate they are not really finding his hair? This also led me to wonder and ask the question: aren’t some wigs made of natural hair donated by others? MOO
Girls in my country often donate their beautiful long hair for wigs for cancer patients.

I wonder if RH discussed BDSM with any sex workers (those lucky enough to still be alive) before or upon meeting them.

''Rex Heuermann’s family is “shocked,” “embarrassed’ and “disgusted” of the “animal” he’s accused of being, the top cop in the Long Island serial killer case said — as the FBI has helped raid relatives’ homes as far as South Carolina.

The accused Gilgo Beach killer lived in Massapequa Park with his two kids and second wife, Asa Ellerup, who police said had been away from home at the time of each of the four murders he’s so far suspected of committing.

“When we initially informed them about their husband, their father, they were shocked,” Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison told CNN Monday.

“They were disgusted — they were embarrassed.

“So, if you ask me, I don’t believe they knew about this double life that Mr. Heuermann was living,” he said.''

I've followed the Lisk case for quite some time. I'm currently fip flopping backwards and forwards as to whether I believe that he killed the other 8 victims. What I do hope is that the task force will do the Same due diligence to Shannon and the other victims as they have done to the Gilgo Beach 4.

New article in The NY Times — I gifted the article so it shouldn’t be behind a paywall

Apparently the family paid for groceries with food stamps, which is interesting considering RH had his own pretty successful architecture firm.

In Gilgo Beach Slayings, a Wife Nearby but Apparently Unknowing - NY Times

<snipped & BBM>
Cashiers at the supermarket knew them as a quiet, cheerless family that shopped several times a week. Ms. Salmeri said she watched their children grow up over the past 25 years. One thing remained constant, she said: Mr. Heuermann never accompanied them.

“He never came with them,” she said. “I’m not sure what that says about them.”

[RH’s wife] looked depressed, Ms. Salmeri said, and the family often paid with food stamps, unusual at this store.

[…]

The Mustos, like other neighbors, called Mr. Heuermann’s family reclusive and enigmatic. On a tight-knit block, they did not socialize. Their unkempt house stood out almost as an extension of their nature.

To Ms. Musto, [RH’s wife] did not seem concerned with appearances either. “It could be middle of the afternoon and she looked like she just rolled out of bed,” she said.

I’m friendly with everybody around here but she didn’t talk to anyone,” Ms. Musto said.

I think it shows his priorities. Whether he feels positive or negative about it, what he wants to know before anything is whether everyone knows, whether he's front page news.

MOO
I agree. I can't tell if he wanted to know because it's exciting that people finally know or shame that his family/friends know. I also get the sense with how he was trying to talk with people about the case that he wants to talk. His lawyers may stop it from happening but I think he wants to talk, like Dennis Radar. I would not be surprise if they gather an insurmountable amount of evidence from the house/storage/etc that he just confesses to everything. It'll let him re-live it again.

Very telling. I dread to think what this family were subjected to at the hands of this monster.

Can food stamps be given just to anybody?
I thought they are given to ppl who provide evidence of being destitute/bankruptcy.

Correct, food stamp eligibility is based on income. For a family of 4 in NY State, you are eligible for food stamps (SNAP) if your household has less than $41,628 in annual gross income.

in my experience it's based off income.

Of course they didn't know about his double life.

The stepson would be eligible because of his disability.

I know of people who buy them from others for less than their value in cash and then use them. So say I have card with $100 in available benefits, I can sell it for $75 cash and they get to use card and I get the cash for other purposes. Not saying that’s what’s going on here but it’s a possibility.

IMOO.

I would think that memento's in the form of news coverage, either digital or scrapbooks might have been kept.

Ie folders of press coverage on computers and drives. And articles cut out of newspapers.

I have to tell myself that he is an alleged killer though.
