Another victims name returned to them. Absolutely fantastic news and long over due. I think IDs for Peaches and Baby Doe are right around the corner as well.

RH seems like a hoarder. IIRC, Peaches was wrapped in a bath towel and floral print pillow case. Perhaps he still has some of these linens. Or maybe they're visible in some old family photos.

If RH is responsible for Fire Island Jane Doe, we know he's been active since at least 1996. There are large gaps of time inbetween some of the victims. I'm fearful there are more we don't know about.

BREAKING: Gilgo Beach investigators have identified the victim known as “Jane Doe No. 7,” whose partial remains were first found on Fire Island in 1996, another critical step forward in the investigation following the arrest of suspected serial killer Rex A. Fire Island Jane Doe has been identified as Karen Vergata. She was 30 when she went missing and was living on West 45th Street in Manhattan and working as an escort.

New York investigators are holding a press conference to announce an update in the ongoing investigation by the Gilgo Beach Homicide Investigation Task Force. Accused serial killer Rex Heuermann currently stands accused of murdering three women and dumping their bodies at the Long Island beach.

They're not disclosing any possible suspects at this time.

The spokesman said there have been no arrests or suspects yet. Her date of death was 1996 (presumably), so she might not be connected to LISK.

I believe they identified the remains, but did not attribute the murder to RH at this time
