Hopefully this question comes across how it is intended, (I DO consider Rex's wife and children to be victims of HIS crimes).

Would his immediate family qualify for the "Victim's Compensation Program" if they were not direct victims of a crime in a legal sense? i.e. they weren't injured, robbed, etc directly by Rex in a prosecutable sense? Reading the site regarding the fund makes it seem like they wouldn't qualify for this specific program, but maybe there are others?

I wonder what the difference is between bullied kids who grow up to be champions of the underdog and those who want to punish other underdogs. I can't help but think part of it is gender and entitlement. I would think we'd have to look at school shooters in this equation. Would RH have become a mass shooter rather than an SK if he was born a decade or two later? Shoot the kids tormenting him (or more likely some innocents in the wrong place at the wrong time) rather than letting the rage simmer and stew for years?

Same. I remember getting bullied and beaten up throughout my early years, but I would never put someone else through that because I remember how it made me feel and how much it sucked.

As for why some people grow up to punish the underdogs as you put it? I’ve always wondered that myself. That’s the biggest reason why I think I am so interested in serial killers-that psychological aspect. As you said, there are SO many people who were abused or tortured or neglected or went through horrific things themselves as kids, but they don’t grow up to be killers. But some do. And I think there are a number of factors that contribute to it: neglect, parental/family involvement in their children’s lives, trauma, sometimes brain damage could be a factor, etc.

Sometimes I also think there are a few rare cases where someone was just born evil (I know this is probably a controversial statement) and the darkness that lives inside them just lays dormant until their later years, when certain factors or events come together and create a perfect storm. They could have a perfectly happy and “normal” childhood, with loving parental figures, but still grow up to be killers.

I wonder what the difference is between bullied kids who grow up to be champions of the underdog and those who want to punish other underdogs. Some people cannot handle rejection well, now add toxic masculinity where boys are told or were told to not take no for an answer ever or you'll appear weak. I've noticed lots of sadistic crimes are traced back to feelings of inferiority, and rejection.

I pray we have DNA from the Atlantic City murders. I would bet my farm that was Heuermann.

Until RH's arrest I believed the two cases were related. I even suspected one of my own friends. He was working in LI and AC area when the murders were committed. I'm starting to now think they aren't related at all.

RH probably enjoyed his view across the bay and being able to visit his victims, not Ted Bundy visit or Gary Ridgeway visits, but sitting on a bench at a safe distance or even the occasional drive-by. He seems to have been meticulous about how he left them, how he bound them up, and how he was able to conceal them not wanting any attention in finding them.

The AC killer left his victim's out in the open, although in a less traveled location. It seemed a bit odd to me that those women who discovered the bodies would be taking a walk back behind those dumpy motels. That seems like a fluke IMO.

I remember passing that strip of motels growing up (pre-casino's) as my grandmother spent her childhood living there. It was a place she and I visited often, but we stayed in AC, those were always cheaper over flow motels because there was limited hotel/motel space in the area of the boardwalk back then.

Even though there were plenty of SW's in AC while I was young, they were pre casino AC and weren't as noticeable to me personally as a child.

But also as a child I became very familiar with Times Square on a Saturday night in the 60's and 70's, it was a degenerate location filled with people of all kinds, with different needs and reason's for hanging out there. Of course this was long before the TS clean-up and online work for SW's. It seemed like a more dangerous time to be a SW than now, except when SK's starting sneaking around online for easy picken's while in the comfort of their own homes.

He owns lots 61, 66, 67, & 85 in the Mirror Lakes II subdivision according to the Chester County Assessor records.

Agreed. He’s lived in the same home he’s had since childhood, been working in the same position for almost 30 years, and clearly has a routine in his normal life too. I think he likes to stick with what he knows. What he is familiar with. And just like you, I also believe that he would stay within areas where he can be within viewing distance from them. It makes guys like him feel very powerful.

This is probably a dumb question and I apologize if it has already been answered, but why does he have two different addressess? Ones at 105 and the other is 107. Did he own two houses on the same street?
