"A longtime neighbor of the accused Long Island serial killer revealed Tuesday several chilling encounters with Rex Heuermann, including behavior that left his wife 'creeped out.'

Etienne Devilliers, who has lived next door for nearly three decades, said he once had to confront Heuermann for leering over the fence at his wife as she lay out in the sun.

Devilliers said he worked at the time as a New York City firefighter and Heuermann’s behavior mostly occurred while he was not at his suburban Massapequa Park home.

'My wife finally told me a few times that she was getting creeped out a bit by him. I had a conversation with him. It wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t a pleasant conversation. We spoke pretty harshly, but he didn’t get aggressive or anything. After that, he never did it again,' he recalled."

it reminded me of epstein’s weird art as well, but with all due respect the idea of a grand conspiracy featuring rex & epstein is ridiculous lmao. the only things they seem to have in common is that they’re psychopathic pedos with a bizarre collection of art.
I guess so too.
Other than the fact those 4 were with 6 more 1 of which was in two location . Multiple victims and few being attribited to him.
I heard someone on a pressor say on the news that they were not even going to release the name of the officers who investigated over the last year .

Further to earlier research into missing persons in general in New York, Nevada and South Carolina States from 1990 I posted, I have done some digging based on a video I saw which could be interpreted as RH being alone and without family around.

I used parameters around the time of the video to limit the time window in which I was looking. Please find the below information. The filtering is crude.

Firstly, I have checked in a window of 6 months around the time I believe RH may have had time alone, which I believe to have been around Christmas time of 2013. Note this is an assumption and is not directly evidenced.

Secondly, I have on the whole only taken interest in missing women and children who have matched on the following criteria:

(I) 28 years or younger (apart from a few)
(II) 5'5" tall or less only
(III) Last known contact was EITHER in Nevada, New York or South Carolina, OR in an adjacent state.
NB I used ChatGPT version 4 to tell me adjacent states.

As before I used a US Government data source, since it was also mentioned before by another user and is well known, it is Namus.

Please find the below narratives and links. Where possible in the time I've had, I've included a link either to websleuths, or to a site which also has photos. But I have not done this last part methodically, so you may be able to find better information.

I have noticed the following:

  • None of these girls/women were more than 5’5” tall
  • Most are aged below 28
  • All of them went missing in or adjacent to a state where RH had known business.
  • There is a possibility that RH had a period alone during the times mentioned below. I am unable to state why on the forum publicly due to rules.
  • [edit] Having researched the below cases more, some are fairly easy to rule out - such as one where Steven Dean Gordon - Wikipedia - pleaded guilty; and another where there were prime suspects who were acquitted, etc. I don't want to drop too many red herrings, but you can probably rule them out or wittle down from these Namus entries.

Did LE actually think he may strike again, or was it that they thought he might flee? And why would he flee if he presumably didn’t know they were on to him? Was the arrest in part because of the incident with the woman recently—and has LE confirmed that WAS him?

It’s confusing to think that he kept visiting sex workers but hadn’t killed again, at least that we know of in the last year or so he was under surveillance. Definitely open to the possibility he killed between the discovery of the first set of victims and when surveillance started.

But still, to me it’s like an addict sitting at the table with their drug of choice right in from of them. It’s hard to imagine he could resist. I suppose if he needed to take them home (ugh) he couldn’t if these visits happened while wife was home, but I don’t know. Does what I’m trying to say make sense? I am 100% they’ve got their guy as far as the GB4 go, and think he’s likely responsible for some of the other victims. I just don’t understand how he could consistently meet these women and keep from harming them.

Thoughts are all over this place but I’ve been thinking about this for a while.
I guess many serial killers just suddenly stop:

I guess many serial killers just suddenly stop:

It’s almost always because life circumstances have changed, not a “change of heart”. They have to move onto less risky things if they feel the heat is on them, a big life change ie a new baby/a move etc. Statistically most serial killers stop at around age 50 for simple purpose of physical strength.

So I hate to use the NYP

This makes no sense to me

Accused serial killer Rex Heuermann likely had female helper who ‘lured’ victims, lawyer claims: ‘Act of a mother’

It sounds like a lot of boastful bluster from a guy who is clearly an attention seeker. IMO.

What a thorn in the side he must be for LE

Yeah none of them stop due to a change of heart. That’s not what I said. But based on cases I’ve seen, I don’t see statistics indicating they typically stop at 50. Also, reasons given for stopping include that they got their kicks in other ways. Also, some just did it for a brief time. I’m betting most.

I think we as a society are just beginning to understand the mind of a SK

I can't seem to figure out or have yet to read how RH's wife's hair was at the crime scene, or what is the connection? If his family was out of town during the killings, how did a strand or two of the wife's hair come into play. Is there thoughts that the victims were taken back to the house, or just trying to piece that together. I mean it can lead to a theory that there is more to this story than what we know... Just some thoughts.

My guess would be the burlap bags were used in the garden.

I haven’t posted here in years but I’ve been really interested in what you all have to say, this place is an amazing network of information and people bouncing incredible insight and thoughts around.

Just a couple of things on my mind. First, I believe it has been said that the investigators decided to take him into custody on Thursday evening because they thought he may become active again or flee. Is it possible his wife was getting ready to go out of town (or even the country) again very soon and they knew this information? I would think since covid started, maybe she hadn’t traveled much, if at all, the last few years and was finally getting ready for a trip.

Also, I have firmly believed from the beginning that the case in AC is related. Now I feel even stronger about it. Just because it wasn’t in the search history that was made public doesn’t mean it didn’t exist. I think this investigation team is being super tight-lipped about a lot of stuff, for good reason. If he spent money on a Vegas time share, I bet he frequented AC somewhat often and liked to gamble.

One more thing I’d like to add, and please forgive me if this is really out of left field. Has it ever been publicly stated how the 4 girls in Gilgo Beach were murdered or if their bodies were fully intact? I only ask because I read that investigators were looking for “body parts” or trophies of victims. I wonder if they were missing something small like a finger or a toe that he could gruesomely preserve and hide away.

I think we’re only beginning to understand the mind of a SK. The entire concept of SK is still so “new”. The FBI behavioral analysis unit is only about 50 years old.

Being a self-employed business owner, he could certainly write a lot off and "appear poor" on his tax records, which I'm sure they'd use to qualify them for benefits. JMO

No, NY State has similar guidelines -- if you are a dependent adult living in a household that makes above the maximum annual income to qualify for food stamps, you will not qualify for SNAP.

As far as I know the gilgo four remains are intact. As for other potential victims I am almost positive that Valerie Macks foot was never found.

If you go on judyrecords and search RH, a speeding tic for the state of VA shows up from 3/14/12…would that have possibly been on a trip to SC? Any missing SW from around that time period? I couldn’t find the city, county, municipality for the ticket, but maybe someone else can.

His mother owned a house in VA ,so he could have been viisting a guess but if his mom lived here ,did he visit often ? NY to VA stay over night leave in the morning to to finish the south carolina trip. Thats how I would make that trip everytime.

I thought I had read something that teeth were missing from the girls? Can anyone confirm? I always thought he would hold on to their teeth. Jmo

He may have taken at least some of the women to his house or their bodies to his storage units (hence, his wife’s hairs). Also, he was into duck hunting, and that camouflage burlap is used as a duck blind.
