As a wife, who has no income of her own and, after many years of being a housewife, is now too old (too sick?) for a job, doesn't AE have to receive maintenance from her husband, including health care costs?
I would think she could get COBRA benefits from his health insurance provider for 18 months.

''CNN —
Last month, New Yorkers gave a collective sigh of relief as police finally apprehended a suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings cold case. For 13 years, this Long Island “family man” allegedly targeted, tortured and murdered women in the sex trade. To anyone in prostitution, his presence was a chilling reminder of the deadly dangers of the business.''

''Sex trade survivors consistently tell us that violence from sex buyers is the norm, not the exception. Research shows that sex buyer comments and review boards online normalize narratives of sexual violation and violence against women. And, according to research, 92.2% of women in the sex trade report being subjected to physical violence, such as being raped, shot, strangled, burned, beaten, stabbed or punched. A 2018 study of 65 prostituted women — including trans women in the US — also found 61% suffered traumatic brain injuries while in the sex trade.''

''On the other side of the equation, sex buyers are often men with disposable incomes, good jobs and families. These men sit at their six figure jobs, buying people for sex during lunch. When money is exchanged, many buyers often seem to believe they have a free pass to violate, degrade or even torture. They ostensibly rely on the fact that law enforcement sees sex buying as harmless and low level.''

In my jailhouse interview with Sheriff Toulon yesterday, he revealed alleged serial killer Rex Heuermann has had two visitors - his lawyer and an unidentified man, who is not a relative. He also meets weekly w/ Catholic clergy.
More details tonight at 5pm on News 12
Is the Catholic clergy member who visits RH weekly identified?

I don't think so, and even if they were, I doubt we'd be allowed to sleuth them. They're providing pastoral care. <modsnip: off topic>

The 6-foot-4 alleged killer is seen in the photos carrying a bag on his shoulder. He is seen standing next to a young woman with her arms folded outside a smoke shop. The photos, first uncovered by online sleuths, were snapped by the internet company’s mapping services.''

Her retelling of events does seem to include more and more details as time goes on. Curious that she now says that RH mentioned a hammer. I suspect the next time we hear from her she will say that he mentioned a " cabinet maker's hammer ".

All JMO
Yeah and in another interview she was talking about how RH was talking about marshes and getting stuck in them or something. Idk i think she may have had an encounter with him but I don’t believe most of her accounts unfortunately. I think the sex workers that they are speaking to with potential info are not going around divulging things in interviews. Just doesn't sit with me well. Jmo.

Was it someone from here who uncovered this?

JMO, he's not going to do that. He's a narcissist and a sadist who, for years, thought he was smarter than LE. He's probably proud of his crimes. He also probably still thinks he's smarter than the DA and will be acquitted. Guys like that don't commit suicide.

JMO, they put him under suicide watch just to be safe and so they could watch him closely.
If memory serves, folks said almost the same thing, word for word, about Fotis Doulos.

There’s a new episode of the LISK podcast up today, with an interview with Robert Kolker (Lost Girls author).

Meeting with clergy...insert my eye roll here...I can't see ol Rex as very religious, especially after violating the 6th commandment, multiple times....JMO

It is amazing when "really religious" people get caught doing something terrible... they do in fact sometimes go back to their roots and try to get atoned.

Actually, some do. Because then they maintain the feeling of control. Some guys, the moment they're not in control, they plan their out. They're not interested in making their way through the courts, or making a life for themselves in prison. Often, these are the offenders who have imprisoned others and enjoyed that feeling of total control, life or death, over their victims. Think Epstein, think Ariel Castro.

Agree. Once backed into a corner with no way out some choose suicide. Fotis Dulos was one who killed himself just before a hearing that was going to revoke his bail and put him back in jail. He knew he was never going to get out even though he had not yet been convicted. ( He tragically murdered his wife Jennifer in CT).
If RH is seeing clergy ( eye roll) it may be he was raised Catholic and he still believes bits and pieces of the religion and wants to do confession/ make things “right” before he kills himself. Most of the people I know that are Catholic are “ cafeteria” Catholics. They choose what to believe off the “menu” that suits their lifestyle. JMO

Foster is one of five escorts in the Las Vegas area between the ages of 18 and 25 who all shared the same fate: discovered either dead or missing between 2003 and 2006 under similarly suspicious circumstances. Four of them were dumped off remote roadways. Several were wrapped in cloth, which is why detectives have long suspected they could have been killed by the same person.
I find this incredibly interesting. I'm off to read. Thanks, Grandma.

While Heuermann is permitted to make phone calls, the sheriff's office isn't privy to who was on the other end.

"Who he's called, we do not know," Toulon said.

Heuermann was mostly idle during his early days in jail, but he has since grown more active, according to the sheriff.

"He's becoming more acclimated to life inside jail," Toulon said. "The first few days he was sleeping a lot. Now he's watching a little bit of TV at times. He's reading a newspaper, and at times he reads a book."

Heuermann is also eating the normal jail food and is not on any special diet.

"The suicide garment that he was wearing was removed," Toulon said. "He was able to have sheets, he was able to obtain a razor so he can groom himself."

yes, but it is like $1500 a month for her and a kid
Geez, my insurance was only for me and after my long term disability benefits ran out, I got COBRA for 18 months. To this day, I’m not sure who paid my premiums. Not me. Now I have to pay for a medicare advantage plan with prescriptions but it’s only about $250 and that includes great dental.

Cobra hugely expensive but if your medical bills are also huge, then it’s right choice. RH monthly medical insurance costs pre arrest might also be hundreds a month …

Here's a link to the Lindsay Marie Harris thread for anyone else who may be interested.

ETA: I personally don't believe that Heuermann dismembered his victims, for a number of reasons I won't bother to get into, but this is still intriguing to me.

I’m sorry if this not the right place to ask but
I was just watching this interview and around 9 min they talk about Shannan Gilbert and Nikki says Rex believed Shannan was connected. Do you guys think that means anything?
I do.

I think it means he knows about the murder of Shannan Gilbert, or he knows it has nothing to do with him and he was trolling like when he pointed at that other guy who died by suicide.

One of those two things.

Yuck. Dude had no business dating, but even if he weren't, allegedly, a sadistic serial killer, and if he sincerely wanted extra marital friends with benefits, he'd have to pay one way or another. Pay for the dates or pay for charm school.
