One of the worst things about this information is that there are countless victims on those devices and they likely are not the same ones we are aware of :(

FWIW I'd just like to say that even though it's taken many years to get to this place, I am pleased to see how swiftly everything has been moving. I too pray that LE are able to ID more people. Not an easy task.

Wondering if there might be EXIF data contained within those terabytes of images? Hopefully there are breadcrumbs.

JMHO.
Imagine a person so deranged to read books, change methods, buy new phones for each victim, who DOESN'T Throw anything away!! Idk if I am the only one who is curious what he bought when he got home for AC, but there is one charge on the cc bill that no one even mentions...162 dollar at circuit city!!

Between the old records he kept and the devices, I feel very confident that LE is working as fast as they can to get more justice and more families will get answers.

It is heartbreaking at the same time, My heart aches for the families and I really love how this site closely monitors and maintains so much respect. I rarely look at social media anymore and there is a whole new thing with AI and bots replicating legit news sites (especially radio for some odd reason) and since I learned about it, I see it everywhere now. False info about these crimes is just so ...I can't even find a strong enough word, but there is A LOT of misinformation about this case being put out there for various reasons, and I hope those people are arrested one day too. I have such a long list of sites that take parts of a real news story, quote that story and then add or change other parts, it has led me to never use anything not proven to be a legal document that I find on my own or can access on my own. There is so much on reddit and twitter that I notice has been out for so long, people just believe it, and it hurts the victims so much IMO, I will only use this site and anything of mine is removed, I know it's because I made some kind of mistake and I trust that!

I feel that. If I'm wrong, remove it because these people had a human experience like every single one of us had. albeit cut short, they were still someone's daughter etc.

RH seeking change of venue:

Heuermann's attorney says his client is looking forward to his day in court and will be pursuing a change of venue.

"We talked about a change of venue. We're going to look into that. We have been looking into that, whether we can get a fair and impartial jury here in Suffolk County," Brown said. "Where do I hope it would be? The trial itself? Mars, I don't know."

The defense claims any jury pool in Suffolk has been "poisoned."

This whole crew of players has their head up in the clouds IMO.
Brown is looking into a change of venue but still he realizes outer space might be the only place where RH might get a fair trial. In other words, he's going down regardless of where the trial will be held, not because of an unfair trial, but because he is guilty as charged. But Brown will waste the guy's money anyway to go through the motions. The family has money to spare anyway now. MOO.

Yes: the reminder from a year ago: Nov 2023

The family of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann will reportedly receive $1 million for participating in an NBC documentary.

The family of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann will rake in a staggering seven-figure windfall for a documentary about the grisly sex worker slayings, according to a report.

Heuermann’s wife, Asa Ellerup, and her adult children, Victoria and Christopher, will receive at least $1 million for the NBC/Peacock documentary, which will follow the family throughout the suspected killer’s trial, NewsNation reported.

Ellerup’s lawyer, Robert Macedonio, is believed to have signed a $400,000 deal for his participation, while Vess Mitev, a lawyer for Heuermann’s daughter, Victoria, and stepson, Christopher, is expected to receive $200,000 in compensation, the outlet reported.

I wonder how much of an "Advance" they have received to date ?
Yes @Forest_Wood they are rolling in it $$$ $$$ $$$ IMO
I still wonder if the Divorce went ahead 6 days after Rex's arrest (?) I wonder...

Detective Lieutenant P.J. Trujillo has been trying since 2007 to identify a dismembered murder victim called "Cherries." Her torso was stuffed into a small, black suitcase that washed up on the shoreline of Mamaroneck in Westchester County, New York.

"Cherries" is often compared to "Peaches," the presumed victim of the Long Island Serial Killer. Her torso was discovered in 1998 inside a green, rubber container in Nassau County. There is also a Long Island connection in the "Cherries" case.

"The house is not for sale at this time," said Macedonio, of Islip Terrace, who said he could not say when the house might go up for sale. "Asa and the children, Victoria and Christopher, will be spending more time in South Carolina, and the storage container is there because they are removing personal items that they plan to relocate to South Carolina with them

"South Carolina is a place where they’ve established a presence and certainly they’re going to be staying down there much more," said Vess Mitev, the Stony Brook-based attorney for the children. "We don’t have a time frame, but certainly they’re in the process of establishing a presence in South Carolina."Asked why they were moving, Mitev said: "Well, obviously that home is associated with a very dark chapter in their life."

Interesting. Does this mean Asa won't be visiting Rex in jail? Will she no longer attend his pre-trial hearings? Commuting back and forth from South Carolina to Long Island, NY could get expensive.

I would think that the company will cover the expenses.

Maybe not, but travel is tiring and she doesn't strike me as a high-energy person. However, if she's contracted to make certain appearances, I'd guess she'll still be around. And I'd guess she would not be paying the bills for those appearances.

I agree. No energy observed there in the least.
The things we would need to do for a million $$$$$.
MOO.

If I recall, she’s been battling cancer. Cancer and cancer treatments will zap energy.

The attorney discussing the "violation of her property rights" is just extremely offensive -- at least to me. IF LE is correct and the women were murdered IN THAT HOME -- the owner himself had already violated the rights on that property! Just nasty offensive.

Also, living expenses in South Carolina will undoubtedly be much less.

Seriously. The constant victim act is really tiresome. Property rights have only and will only cover the right to use property in a legal manner. Wives don’t get to shield their serial killer husbands from LE by claiming “property rights”.
And I agree it is actually offensive. Does this lawyer really think public sympathy should lie with the wife whose husband tortured and murdered women right under her nose instead of with the victims and the efforts of LE to stop this guy?
