well it's a beach..people lose items of clothing..people don't generally lose their purses and not report them..but the fact is it's women's clothing and there are no mens items in the mix which makes me suss...also buried 2 feet down..hmmm..this is indeed very interesting and I think no matter what happens with the Jones Beach stash..we are going to find out about Rex and we are going to find more victims for sure. mOO

The Gilgo victims were decades later than this deposit. Could be another belt, though. We know he left three, I think, with Maureen's body. Maybe he liked using them for a while.

The east bathhouse near where these clothes were found is about 6.5-7 miles from the Gilgo Beach 4.

its about 1.2 miles from where Tanya Jackson was found on the parkway.

So far no DNA has been linked from Tanya Jackson to RH and LE have been treating TJ and toddler as seperate from the other Gilgo victims found. A new serial killer's trophy stash just uncovered at Jones? TJ and toddler's killer? I hope they get as many sniffing dogs they can to check out all of Jones straight thru to Gilgo...if they haven't already. Just very disturbing, this Jones find

This has the potential to be really important.

I mean, even if it's not able to be linked to RH, there is absolutely no innocuous interpretation I can think of. It's a stash of trophies for someone.

And all the apparrel things were found by a cleanup crew at Jones Beach in late summer or early fall of 2023...and only two feet down. Were the "hidden" bloody glove and leather strap also found then?

My mind is going everywhere too! Since these things were found almost 3 years ago, a couple months before RH's arrest, LE must have tested and retested them all, right?

The items included rayon mini-skirts, shorts, pants and shirts, some with their buttons popped off — suggesting the clothing may have been torn off or forced open, sources said.

This is a case where I cannot fathom what would be accomplished by not showing some items to the public.

I don't think it's so important if these items came AFTER he worked at the beach...let's face it that beach is his stomping ground..just like Gilgo..a place he knows intimately and is comfortable there.
he would know his way around there at night too...he might get off on hiding things there. Also he could have hung out at that beach long after he worked there.

I can't see a reason for then burying a lost and found box of discarded items on the beach..it doesn't make sense..so now I feel a vibe of him maybe actually knowing how to get into those beach buildings or sheds and maybe even taking victims there in the dark of night. Because the house would have still been his mom's back then I think, and off limits for murder.

Interesting that the defense does not wish for a change of venue even though it appears that Rex had few friends or admirers there. (He actually lived in Nassau, near its border with Suffolk, but I think my county point still stands.) I guess if you are on trial for serial murder of disrespected victims, Suffolk County is better than surrounding counties for the defense.

This is a case where I cannot fathom what would be accomplished by not showing some items to the public.

Agree. It makes it seem like LE does not want tips.

This is why the former police commissioner understood that there had to be an alternative (such as John Ray) to the tip line. SC LE continues to behave to this day as if they do not want evidence.

It is sad. But it is separate IMO from the prosecutors' decision to stop adding evidence to the current charges. It makes sense to bring a finite amount of evidence to trial asap, while continuing to investigate for possible other victims separately. I support that because, if convicted, NYS will allow more access Rex's DNA.

That said, Suffolk County still has a lot of work to do to give the appearance of caring about the victims and desiring to bring justice in cases involving marginalized victims.

Imagine being charged for murders in a county and thinking, yeah, my best bet is to be tried right here. That's Suffolk County.

Her attorney has been taking care of her for 2 yrs. How is he getting paid? Just curious.

As for the statements of Rex’s attorney, Brown, he’s saying most of the things defense attorneys usually say in these cases. They all say “my client is innocent” and “the defense has no evidence against my client”. The DNA evidence will be allowed so he doesn’t have much left to argue in Rex’s defense. JMO

I wonder if we have celebrated too soon about the DNA being allowed for trial. From listening to Michael J. Brown's explanation of the public health motion that Brown says limits evidence to in-state labs and since Astrea is not in New York it is actually criminal to use it. As I understood him. Are there any attorneys here from New York who can clarify this for us?

JMO, it’s really a stretch for Brown to try that argument. It sounds like the statue he’s quoting doesn’t apply in this situation. Just because the lab isn’t in NY doesn’t mean it’s not up to quality standards. California has strict regulations, too.

Suffolk County has a popluation of over 1.5 million. I think they can find a jury. IMO
