Dear God, reading here still gives me nightmares, though I do check in once in a while. Ever since Shannan, this case has haunted me. Such an utterly ghastly monster this ghoulish brute is.

Tierney had said when RH was charged with a total of 7 torture/murders that there would be no more charges added to this indictment.
He then went on to say that investigations into other victims found is continuing.
If eventually they do connect RH to other victims, be it from evidence from the current investigations and/or from CODIS hopefully even though he'll be incarcerated w/o parole for his life that he is prosecuted .
The new victims and their loved ones more than deserve this to happen.

I got involved with Websleuths when Shannan Gilbert disappeared. The search for her, led to the discovery of the other bodies, which eventually resulted in the arrest of RH.

I do not think RH had anything with Shannan's death.

If he pleads guilty for the murders he is charged with, I wonder if he might have some information or insight into what he knows about happened to Shannan.

It could provide some closure for many people.

Tierney said that the public has only a small percentage of the evidence they have against RH yet even if they have some evidence that connects RH to SG I don't see him ever having divulged it during this case.
I don't feel he is connected to SG because I don't see him ever having had other men involved in his evil obsessions and evil actions.

Listening to Zeman & Murphy talk about the hair evidence found on victims it struck me of just how ironic it is that it was hair from RH's ex-wife, current wife and daughter.
So it was the three women from his life that played such a powerful role in catching him/charging him for the torture/murder of 7 other women.

Great point! Chances are he was involved if he had clippings about her! I wonder if they found articles about others in his home or office of women he has never been charged with!

If he had clippings from when she first went missing and before the Dec 2011 search for her it could be because of the location SG was last seen knowing that his dumping ground could be discovered?

Do you know which victim had the hair of his ex-wife? Was that victim killed when he was still with that wife? I understand his first known victim was in 1993 IIRC.

What a terrific reporter she is! Following this case since the beginning and ready to retire by the sound of it. And now she can see it through. She certainly knows this case inside and out.

She didn't seem to question anything, ever. Even when faced with evidence she said she fell in love with RH all over again seeing him behind bars for the first time...that made me so angry!

The last I read she was still living in SC.
I don't know if Sept 4 was her last sighting in court, it was the biggy, the DNA and her hair/etc. hearing.
RH didn't appear at his last hearing, crutches and whatever and I'll look to see if she attended.

All eyes will be looking for her come Wednesday.

And also not to be totally disgusting - sand has a lot to offer a sexual totem-collecting sadist in that the body parts are easy to dig down and dig up. Or if he wanted to move them or simply sit there handling his victim’s remains.

I’m hoping they looked carefully for DNA even at the hand-head sets (Karen, Jessica…) because he could have moved them around.

Hairs and touch DNA might not be expected on skeletal remains but if he has been handling them LATELY (2009 instead of 2000) that might be another story.

I think so......RH may have thought its his private dumping ground and could have scoped out other locations like hunting grounds on long island
