And, from the bail document, it sounds as if he had this burlap at his house ... he didn't just run out to the hardware/hunting store and grab it, throw it in his vehicle, then immediately go and wrap a victim's body.

I'm really concerned about his web searches on children. Especially with torture involved. I really hope no children have been victims of his. I wouldn't be surprised if he had started sexually assaulting relatives or neighborhood kids when he was young. No one looks up that kind of stuff unless they're into that. I'm curious if there are any missing kids or unsolved child murders in that area.

I think the odd look to his skin and face in some pictures is because he was clearly dyeing his hair at the time they were taken, which looks unnatural and washes him out.

IIRC, at the press conference the DA said that the burlap was camo burlap, the kind you use in hunting.

The new team seemed to follow leads recently that were neglected by previous investigations.
They didn’t locate his car until 2022 despite an eye witness account at the time that Costello was picked up in a Chevrolet Avalanche and the fact that that car’s sales were very low (less than 300,000 total) in the US and only made for ten years making it somewhat easy to trace.

Gilgo Beach murders: Suspect identified as Rex Heuermann, charged in deaths of 3 women

Heuermann first came up as a suspect in the investigation in March 2022, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said Friday.
Heuermann was tracked through his car, a Chevrolet Avalanche, which was discovered in 2022. A witness to Costello's disappearance reported seeing a Chevrolet Avalanche, court records said.

Just wondering if they played a recording of Rex Heuermann's voice for Amanda Barthelemy. Yeah, it's early in the arrest, but seems like that'd be a logical thing to do, as well to thoroughly examine the burlap for more of his DNA.

Those were all found in 2006 and were killed in a 5-week span. I'd like to know what other bad deeds this perp has been involved in in the past 13 years, apart from incriminating internet searches.

One wonders if his wife took a lengthy vacation...say five weeks...to visit her family in Iceland in 2006.
