I have to agree with you. Right away people started saying bone fragments so I called 10of in here for her opinion. I should probably delete my post and not waste her time.
If you want to know for sure if it could be bone, 10ofrods is definitely the one to ask.

If you want my completely amateur opinion - whatever it is, it's lying flat and limp against the paper or tarp they've got it laid out on. I think it's more likely something like fabric, completely saturated with the moist soil. Bones would look more three dimensional, more lumpy.

But, as I said, I am not an expert, just an enthusiastic amateur who is a nerd for bones.

EDIT: I'm also not seeing any recognisable bones shapes, like a femur, a pelvic bone, vertebrae, or a skull. I also think they'd be photographing bones in situ. Fabric, the same colour as the soil and maybe scrunched up, they would take a photo of it in the ground first, but they kind of have to spread it out against that paper backdrop to get a good photograph of what it is.

I also think that if they'd hit human remains, we'd be here into next week.

He might be a prepper. I personally think that he has the tell tale signs of being a Bluebeard and want to know what happened to his first wife, or whether any of his past girlfriends disappeared. Bluebeards kill out of disappointment, all women are the same, and deserve the same punishment. Maybe there was someone close to him that disappeared, not just the SWs.

great question, shocked DM hasn't tracked any past gf's and first wife to interview yet!

Thanks! You may be an amateur, but your insight is always helpful.

Watching CNN. They said the District Atty will have a news conference around noon today to discuss the case.

Perhaps a day or so, they will wrap up the search at Rex H's house. They've completed search of the residence, now working on the garage and attic.

AC victims were missing shoes & socks

As far as I know, Gilgo Beach victims were “missing personal items”. I never heard what those items were, specifically. I don’t know if that was ever disclosed.
I was watching the Killing Season last night and I could have sworn that they said they were all found without clothing.

Yeah, I thought they were too. I was thumbing through my copy of Lost Girls to see if I could find mention of if they were clothed or not, and haven't found anything yet. Did the Killing Season folks have knowledge they were nude? Or have I just been assuming they were? Have we all? Very uncertain right now. I may do some digging tomorrow into old articles about the GB4 when I'm not so tired.

I find the thought those are baby clothes just chilling. who would bury baby clothes? things are getting super weird if that's the case.

sinister and terrifying...not that any of us are shocked...but if anyone thought that the Peaches and her baby being his victim was far fetched...well maybe not huh? mOO

This may have been mentioned before, but if you look at a Chevy Avalanche, the most distinctive feature of the car is that its truck bed was designed with a lid, to the point where driving with an open truck bed would look unusual, rather than the other way around. I wonder if that "feature" factored into his purchase of that particular make and model (he bought 2 of them).

Warning for that timeline - so far, errors I have found:

* They say all the GB4 were wrapped in burlap, which, admittedly, we all thought until last week
* They think Fire Island Doe and Peaches were determined to be the same person, which they are not. Sloppy and just plain wrong.

So there may be other errors in there, too.

I don't find it far-fetched at all. A SK is a strange breed.

missing shoes and socks --- did we know that about the Gilgo4? Were their shoes and socks missing?
*I went looking and gonna keep looking but this is recent about the Eastbound Strangler. Also, in the articles I’ve been reading, experts agree the four are all the same SK. * oopsie, forgot the article

The four women were found dead behind a motel along Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, just outside Atlantic City in December 2006. Three of the bodies were placed faced down in a row, about 60 feet apart from one another in a drainage ditch, and a fourth was found directly behind the motel. They were all clothed with the exception of socks and shoes.

Anyone else rereading their copy of Lost Girls? I’m almost done. Not a lot of info about the condition of the remains.

I reread it a few months ago, but it's been my constant companion since the story broke. Digital is great for some things, but sometimes it's just faster and easier to flick to the right chapter to get the answer you're looking for. Dates of certain things in the girls' timelines, it's been great for.
