Is this search for the property and the vehicle or just the vehicle? Reads to me it's just the Avalanche. Curious as to why they may not be searching the entire property since he owns it with his brother.

I watched a bit of the interview. He doesn't strike me as odd or weird, just a normal guy that found a niche and wants to brag a bit about it. I haven't watched all of it. An observation, I don't think he's an organized person, looks somewhat haphazard with his dress, so I suspect any searches would have to include everything. I am curious if he has evidence spread about and not kept in just one special space or location. All jmo and my initial reaction, going to go watch some more of it.

I have no idea what it could mean to have legs bound in a ball. Like, criss-cross-applesauce? What animals get their legs balled up? I presume it is not waterfowl.

I have a feeling I don't want to Google this...I'm a little squeamish.

That is horrifying to me…..do you remember in The Wizard Of Oz when the slippers are taken off the feet of the witch that was crushed by the house and her feet shrivel, curl up and disappear….that scene absolutely horrified me as a child and reading the description of someone legs being “curled up like a ball” reminded me of that and gave me that same horrible feeling.

I'm really glad that Amber's sister survived, at the time of The Killing Season she was in a very self destructive mode of living. I feared for her safety and her life path at that time.

I'd counter that with, you only have to expose yourself to what you know you can handle taking up residence in your brain. For example, if it's going to give you nightmares, it's not worth it.

I have not listened either, and I don't think it's hampering with me engaging with this case. Everything of interest from it has been discussed here.

Your right. I see how my post sounds peer preasure like . I didnt mean she has to has to..I meant it like in a "you have to see this " kinda way.
I admit it took me 3 days to be able to get in a head space to really listen and I am not the same person I was before I saw it either so caution should be used . I am not the kind of person that can take a narritive of someone elses ideas of what they watched so ,I havfta , I cannot rely on other peoples opinions ,nor can I count on anyone else to tell me everything important from the video was discussed because I could never prove that to myself. regardless if I believed it or not. KWIM?

Watch it or dont @LadyL ,I did not mean to sound bossy.

RH lost control of his life a long time ago, as shown the conditions of his house from the outside and what has been said about the inside. At first glance he seemed like a organized killer because he took the time to put them in burlap and place them together on the beach or in the dense brush. I believe it was a shining achievement for him that he could look at from across the bay. Just a really twisted human being.

Just wondering, would they take DNA samples from Rex's family to rule them out of any DNA found in the truck recovered from the brother in SC, or would they only compare anything found to "known victims"?
They already have RH's wife's DNA and RH's DNA, so I assume that through genetic genealogy that they can identify the children's DNA.
'
They would need permission from RH's step-son to get his DNA, as he is not a suspect in the crime.

edited "son" to "step son"

So when you say son you mean step son correct ? or maybe you mean something different?
And I did see this one something different article from the uk. I had to take a break from Ws.So I could not post the link

Depending on the level of the stepson's disability, they may need his mother's permission to get his DNA. But even if they didn't have his, they have his mother's, so it would be pretty easy to determine whether he was the contributor to a profile.

There are 4 cases in Las Vegas which I think match RH's MO and victim profile:

Tammie Michelle Mooney
tammie_michelle_mooney_4.jpeg

Missing From: Las Vegas, NV
Date of Last Contact: December 16, 2003
Missing Age: 18
Height: 5'6 - 5'7
Weight: 125 - 145 pounds
Circumstances: Mooney was last seen at her residence in the vicinity of the 10300 block of Horseback Ridge Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16, 2003. She got into an argument with her female roommate, then left with her boyfriend.

Mooney spoke to her mother on the phone and said she was going to find somewhere else to live. She has never been heard from again. Her family says it's very uncharacteristic of her not to contact them. She was planning to go visit them for Christmas, but never arrived. Her disappearance remains unsolved.

Some agencies state that Mooney disappeared on December 19, 2003.

Homicide of Vanessa Eileen Zambrano
homicide-vanessa-zambrano-0603042185.jpeg

On March 4, 2006 at approximately 1645 hours, the body of Vanessa Eileen Zambrano was found in the marsh area at Lake Mead, near the Government Wash boat launch ramp. The investigation revealed that Zambrano's death was a homicide.

Homicide of Victoria Camara
homicide-victoria-camara-0308110649.jpeg

On August 11, 2003 at approximately 0718 hours, Steven Webb, a gravel truck driver discovered the body of a Hispanic female in the desert area just south of the haul road located approximately 1200 feet west of US 95, mile marker 52.

On August 22, 2003, Bolder City Police Detectives and LVMPD Detectives identified the body of the Hispanic female as Victoria Camara. The Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed the identity. It's believed Camara was murdered in the Las Vegas area therefore LVMPD homicide took over the investigation.

Homicide of Wanine Moreira Rodriguez
homicide-wanine-moreira-rodriguez-0109262202.jpeg

On September 26, 2001 a man walking his dogs in the desert area of Hualapai and Sunset came across a shallow grave containing a human body. The LVMPD responded to the scene and discovered the remains of Wanine Moreira Rodriguez, a 34-year-old Brazilian female. Unknown person or persons had transported the victim to the desert location.

Due to the advanced decomposed status of the body, the Medical Examiner was unable to determine the cause or manner of death.

The tearful family of suspected Gilgo serial killer Rex Heuermann has returned home to Long Island nearly two weeks after he was first arrested.

Asa Ellerup and her two children, Victoria, 26, and Christopher, 32, looked solemn as they arrived back at the torn-up property at 10.30am on Thursday, with their family dog.

Like the cobbler with no shoes or the builder with his home falling in around him. His home is in pretty deplorable condition.

I have a hunch he was disorganized and sloppy in life....except for a few detaily-type things. And those details were important to him and made him feel superior. Like knowing building codes from a century ago (boring), getting burner phones for each victim (pinpoints him), murdering when wife was out of town (proves his opportunity).

I suspect he likes contrast and deception....but those were also his downfall.

Wow. I looked up Vanessa zambrano, found deceased in march 2006 in a marsh in NV.

There is a whole lot of nothing.

I don't know if she was missing for a significant amount of time, of if she was found recently deceased. But from my preliminary research, she was found in a condition that allowed officials to declare her death a homicide, identified, and her murder remains unsolved with very little fanfare.
