There isn't a massive difference between the two routes you're describing. I will say that one potential reason he may have opted to take the 'longer' route (i.e., over the Great South Bay Bridge) is to avoid the additional traffic around the roundabout at Jones Beach State Park (it is also not at all uncommon to see State Troopers set up in that area, especially in the summer when the beach is packed, not ideal to be driving around with a body in your trunk there). With the exception of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, who disappeared on a Monday, all of the Gilgo 4 victims disappeared on days where traffic at Jones Beach is higher than usual (Thursday - Sunday). JMO.

And of course we don't know what time of day he dumped them. Highly doubt it was during daylight. Maybe the route they were found on the northern side/westbound was less traveled than the southern/eastbound route?

Edited to add - I found the information and no, he hasn't been charged with her death. So we're thinking there could be two serial killers? That leaves 6 victims aside from the Gilgo 4?

Imo they will likely all be the same, microphones and cameras on the DA, etc. Unless one source is having camera or audio issues, then it’s good to have a couple different sources open in case.

Today, something caught my eye. When he got married the first time he was working in Freeport for Greer Construction Corporation.

That is very near both the Sunrise Hwy and Meadowbrook Parkway, close to Merrick. I keep thinking that, at some point, he may have crossed paths with J Bittrolff who had his own construction company called Coastal Construction.

Then I saw that the home in
Palmyra, VA was associated with his family as early as 1994 until about 2014. I remembered a websleuth’s member brought up the 1996 murder of Alicia Showalter Reynolds. She was last seen on Rt 29 in the Culpepper area. Rt 15 meets Rt 29 in that area and goes directly to Palmyra. Alicia was found in a deserted area, in Lignum, “the killer covered her body with sticks and pine tree branches about 30 feet off of a loney gravel road used primarily by woodcutters.” This was similar to how JT’s torso was found in Manorville.

I looked at the suspect sketch and then found the picture of RH in the first wedding announcement. The suspect description in Alicia’s case was described, as he was looking into her engine, as being as tall as 6 ft, white and in his early to mid 30s. I’m thinking he really resembled that sketch when compared to his first wedding picture. Can anyone here find out if he owned a small green pickup truck in 1996?

The niece of a woman murdered in 1989 wants to know if RH killed her Aunt. The niece was the last person to see her alive. The below is taken from a broadcast. Above is the write-up.

1. Found tied up on the side of the Meadowbrook Pkwy in 1989, near Freeport (Nassau County LI, 2 towns away from Massapequa Park)
2. She was picked up in a dark truck in Harlem in the Summer of 1989 (one of the boroughs in the City), only to end up on LI
3. Rope and towel around neck, couldn't ID her for 3 years
4. Meadowbrook Pkwy is the route to Jones Beach
5. RH was a seasonal worker at the beach in the 80s (wow, this sounds so damming)
6. Dental records provided by family in 1992
7. Three of her teeth had been knocked out

Niece says Joel Rifkin was interviewed about the murder in 1993 after he confessed to other killings but he refused to take take responsibility saying "That's not me. That's not my work. That's not my victim."

Family was convinced Rifkin was lying and just lived with it until RH. Niece very upset stating her mother died with this pain.

Yes, I meant to show a map of how Greer Construction was on almost a straight path to Jones Beach. Over the years, some of us looked at Freeport and Merrick- maybe because of women found murdered, or adult entertainment establishments, seedy motels or because of where victims were last seen (near Meadowbrook Parkway and Sunrise Hwy)- I can’t remember why we looked at that area but many of us thought it important.

Here's something I find incredibly confusing regarding Megan Waterman. Every source we had from early on ( including friends, family, msm, and Kolker ) state with certainty that Megan left her cell phone in her hotel room. But in the bail documents, it clearly states that Megan's cell phone pinged to a tower in Massapequa.

So...did she have a second phone that no one knew about ? It kind of makes me wonder if LISK was a regular who gave Amber and Megan special phones.

Complete speculation on my part. Just trying to think of any possible reason for the discrepancy between the accounts of msm, journalists, and family vs this bail document.

I wonder if he ever arranged to meet outside of the parlor — a lot of the women in these places are trafficked from overseas and move around frequently so they would be unlikely to be reported missing.

I doubt that resources will be spared going forward and he will be checked off all available data.

It's super rare for things to be taken outside the message parlor. The parlor acts as security.

I wonder if there’s anything to his choice of email alias “Springfieldman9”, or if it’s just totally random. I didn’t see any mention of “Springfield” in @citizen_sleuth ’s timeline.

There is a Springfield, NY about 3.5 hours north of Manhattan, and a Springfield, NJ about 45 minutes from Manhattan, fwiw.

Eta: Shoot, looking at other state’s he’s been connected to, there’s also Springfield, SC...there’s probably a Springfield in every state.

Maybe nothing. Or something.
