Did you see the ones from the paperwork last year? Different, but equally awful. Worse, because those contained references to primary school age kids, if I recall correctly.

I've been wondering if he was trying out everything he heard about. From his circle of friends/acquaintances he heard about a new depravity. Curious, he would have looked it up, researched it, then if he found it appealing, he'd try it. I wonder if that, plus he may have used the photographs to "tide him over" until he was free to take action.

These kinds of people don't tend to need anyone to give to them depraved ideas. Their fantasies generally begin when they are very young, and develop over time, whether they ever act on them or not.

JMO, anything is possible. There could have been an element of competition involved, too.

Based on some of his internet searches, I wonder if he had begun preying on AA women?

Have you considered how much Rex Heuermann has assisted the prosecution against himself? A man considered "smart" because he used a different burner phone for each victim, did not "burn" or destroy the devices, but instead kept them at home and in his office.

The bail application said there were hundreds of electronic devices in home and office that the task force is still going through.

The purpose of a "burner" phone is that it's used then destroyed when another "burner" is purchased. Over the long years how simple it would have been for RH to drop a phone off a curb, step a heavy heel into it, then leave the pieces to be washed away in the drains of the city.

I am personally going to guess other victims will be discovered from the study of these devices. Perhaps already have been.

This man searched how phone records were being used in solving crimes, then kept his old phones and probably the paperwork that went with them!

Then, there are the thousands upon thousands of dollars RH spent on storage units to maintain mounds of records of credit cards, expenditures, family life. None of this information would still be available from the companies. He's certainly not required by law to keep records from 2007. A reasonable person would have burned and shredded or never kept in the first place any of the paperwork LE needs to prove their case. Not only has RH kept them, he's paid good money to keep them safe.

Why? He knew better.

He NEVER thought he'd get caught or even investigated is why I think he NEVER threw out the burner phones. HUBRIS.
I'm glad he kept the phones and financial records.

JMO, a lot of serial killers have great ability to compartmentalize their activities, sports, clubs, relationships, etc. Rex H. had many years to practice.

That said, witnesses have testified that his wife was aware of some of his activities. There's a witness who has signed an affidavit and will testify in court that Rex and his wife were both "swingers", members of a club in Manhattan, not far from Rex's office. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but taken with all of Rex's other activities at the time, he was engaged in a lot of activities.

Of course, nothing is wrong with some people's sexual habits like to be members of a swinger club. BUT if they abused SWs in their circle of members, it has a different attitude, nothing to do with sleeping with another woman's husband/another man's wife. I would have thought, the SWs don't belong to such a circle. WHY did they, and what was done to them and every member shut his mouth about it??

I just want to say she was found bound with three leather belts, likely prevented from leaving by murder and force. that's kidnapping. Murder one...I don't care. mOO

I strongly suspect one of those belts was cinched around her neck. I guess when this case comes to trial, I'll find out.

People can consent to bondage, but they cannot consent to be murdered.

you can consent to bondage. when you are bound and not released as in trapped and then you are murdered, that in itself is a sex crime, add the strangulation and you have kidnapping and murder in the commission of a sex crime.

so what do they need ? surely the coroner knows what happened to her...this makes me mad. I'm sure she wanted to leave and pled for life..what about this is not a kidnapping?

get the lawyers on the horn and I wanna hear about this *$&% on AshBan/Coumo tonite because I am not satisfied with the 2nd degree murder charge. . mOO

ADDED: also the timeline...wth is that supposed to mean? she was killed "earlier" so her murder is less? less important?
a lower grade ? a shorter sentence? doesn't rank? I AM FUMING ! mOO

Just to clarify, Toddler Doe wasn't buried with her mother, Peaches. Toddler Doe was wrapped in a blanket and deposited in brambles, probably not buried at all. Peaches was dismembered and scattered across a minimum of three locations. None of them were with her baby girl. Toddler Doe was, however, found close to some of the dismembered remains of Valerie Mack.

I’ve wondered if Valerie Mack actually knew Peaches and when she disappeared, if Valerie might have been caring for the toddler.

Some of his searches with his various email accounts in this latest bail application are just horrible.

There is so much detail in the combined Bail Applications. So much about Maureen that possibly we never heard about. Her voicemail was accessed after her disappearance, too. Also, I find it very interesting that AE and the kids were in AC and Wildwood, NJ- which we know is a place connected to Maureen. Did RH, send his family there, kill Maureen and then join his family in places connected to his murder victim? Did he already know, before he met up with or contacted Maureen that she had connections to Wildwood?

With Maureen’s phone last pinging near the 59th St Bridge and the proximity to that area of Sugar Bear, Jessica Taylor and several other black murdered women as well as that being the location of some weird interaction for Shannon G and her driver M. Pak- it certainly makes you wonder if that location is significant for RH.

Valerie was killed four years after Peaches and, presumably, her baby. We know this because Peaches' torso was found in a Rubbermaid container days after she was killed. And we have a last seen date for Valerie.

Arrogance, and his need to 'relive' his sick fantasies. Arrogance and the need to be recognized as a criminal master mind is exactly what led to BTK being arrested.

Would you please jog my memory on Peaches -- when was the torso found? has the rest of her been found? also years on both -- if you have that in your memory.

''The remains of Peaches — a nickname given to her for the peach tattoo on her breast — were scattered in a fashion similar to Taylor, Mack and Vergata. Peaches’ dismembered torso was found in a bin at Hempstead Lake State Park on June 28, 1997.

Her skeletonized partial extremities were recovered near Jones Beach on April 11, 2011 — a week after the remains of her daughter and those of an Asian male were found the same day farther down the parkway.

The Press first reported in 2016 that investigators used DNA evidence to determine that Peaches was the mother of Baby Doe, the lone child found dead, in what’s known as the Long Island Serial Killer case.

Peaches and her child were placed at opposite ends of the dumping grounds, making them the two victims who were farthest apart from one another on Ocean Parkway.

The unidentified child, found wrapped in a blanket, was between 16 and 32 months of age. She was wearing a set of hoop earrings and a rope necklace. Peaches was wearing a snake chain bracelet and an X-O style bracelet. ''

There was some discussion here about that. From locals accounts, its a very busy area. The 59th Street Bridge is the only one to LI that has no toll to cross, so a lot of people use it. It might have been considered a good place to get lost in the crowd if you're concerned about LE tracking your phone pings or searching on security cams. Any locals here with ideas?

The possibility of RH targeting black women seems possible, but we'll have to see if LE chooses to investigate that angle. I hope they do. JMO, it also seems more likely RH was involved in the deaths of the poor women whose remains were left at Manorville, NY and those left in both places.

Peaches' torso was found on 28th June, 1997, in a Rubbermaid container by a hiker in the woods at Hempstead Lake State Park. PMI was 'days', so, very soon after she was killed. More of her remains were found on 11th April, 2011 in the vicinity of Jones Beach State Park, when the big searches were being done along Gilgo, Cedar, and the other beaches along that barrier island strip after the discovery of Melissa. Much of her body remains unfound, hence why I stated a minimum of three disposal locations. This was roughly the same period Toddler Doe was discovered (4th April, 2011). Toddler Doe and the second remains were linked to the torso from 1997 by DNA. Toddler Doe and Peaches also wore complimentary gold coloured jewellery to each other. There is no facial reconstruction of Peaches because her skull has never been found.

And how do they know he did not rob her and take her belongings? he took her life and her belongings...so if you murder a sex worker in NY it's second degree unless you murder at least three in the designated amount of time? is that right?

sigh..mOO
