Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 7 murders, July 2023 #16

  • #781
Gloria Allred, the Los Angeles-based attorney who is representing family members of four of the women that Heuermann is accused of killing, declined to comment on her clients' reactions to the new documentary.Several experts also said the possibility that Heuermann, who is charged in state court with first- and second-degree murder in the seven killings, could face federal charges seems distant based on a number of factors, including that federal prosecutors have had a chance to do it for two years. But it can't be ruled out given the potential whims of the U.S. Department of Justice under President Donald Trump.
A spokesman for the Eastern District of New York, which has jurisdiction over federal crimes on Long Island, declined to comment.Mark Lesko, a veteran lawyer who previously was the acting U.S. attorney in Brooklyn and Central Islip, said the U.S. Department of Justice is likely closely following the state case."I would let the state case play out and monitor it to make sure he gets convicted and gets a stiff sentence," Lesko said. "If the case falls apart, because the cases rely ... primarily on DNA evidence, the feds may decide to take a hard, hard look at charging him, or if the state case is dismissed or reversed on appeal."

I would not mind if Trump’s bid for the Nobel peace prize (jk) would be to facilitate the disposal - by frying - of the serial killer who has had seemingly free reign in the POTUS’s primary city of residence for three decades.

It’s an easy win…

lets find all the victims before we fry him though. I hope Rex knows, they are going to get him. it's just a matter of time. At any moment he can be presented with more charges. I think it's too bad that everything gets to be sold off, torn down and disposed of BEFORE they can run him through CODIS. Also the LE tends to get very myopic and focused on just what they have in front of them, refusing to accept other possible outcomes, like they were just so certain he was only the Gilgo 4 killer...only now to find they were oh so wrong about Rex. 400 electronic devices later. and now?
well well, Philly, Virginia, SC, Vegas, Atlantic City..

so why is it so far fetched to think he murdered Shannan? why did they drop the whole thing? how did PH slip through this whole thing and never satisfactorily explain anything he did that night ? mOO

I think the feds are off on this one. The state seems fully capable of handling this case. They’re the ones who were finally able to force creation of the the Task Force and solve it.

The current DOJ knows nothing about the case. It seems ludicrous for them to claim the case is weak because it’s only based on DNA evidence. Really? The DNA evidence is strong and is backed up by volumes of digital evidence and eyewitness evidence linking Rex, his burner phones, his computer, his trucks, his credit card purchases, etc. to the crimes. It was the DOJs own FBI agents who helped sort through Rex’s cell phone data. Is the current DOJ trying to acquit Rex in the news media? Their comments are odd.

Whatever the level of govt, will/desire seemed more impactful than ability. Neither Nassau nor Suffolk are podunk counties.

"It looks like your average throwback photo of young students with their whole lives stretched in front of them.
However in this unedited snap of smiling high school students there is an alleged serial killer and an A-list actor among the crowd. Can you spot them?''
The other is an A-list Hollywood actor that has three famous brothers and has been seen in many films on the silver screen.
The alleged murderer towers over his peers setting him apart from the mob.
He sports a peculiar hairstyle and is dressed in a dark bomber coat with fur collar while most of his classmates are more casually dressed in a sweatshirt or flannel shirt.
Despite being surrounded by the smiling and even giddy crowd, he holds a deadpan stare and expressionless face.''

The Suffolk judge presiding over the Gilgo Beach serial killings case will issue a decision on the admissibility of nuclear DNA evidence in the case Sept. 3, he announced following a brief conference with attorneys Tuesday.

State Supreme Court Justice Timothy Mazzei set an Aug. 15 deadline for the attorneys representing accused killer Rex A. Heuermann to file closing briefs on the DNA issue and for prosecutors to file their brief by Aug. 22.

Heuermann, charged in the killings of seven women between 1993 and 2010, will next appear in court when the monthslong hearing draws to a close Sept. 3. He has pleaded not guilty to multiple first- and second-degree murder charges.

A new angle investigation from TMZ and I have no idea if there's any surprises in store.
It's about information ignored and missed for 13 yrs and "it didn't have to be that way".

'Katherine Shepherd worked with Heuermann in the same midtown Manhattan office at 525 Seventh Avenue in New York City's Fashion District during the early 2000s.'

''On occasion, she and her co-workers would gather at Pete's Tavern in Gramercy Park.

She remembered Heuermann acting like the life of the party which later earned him the nickname ‘Sexy Rexy' amongst colleagues.

‘He was fun. He was funny,’ Shepherd told Daily Mail. ‘He would tell funny stories and jokes that made everyone laugh.’

During working hours, she said he was always professional towards her and the other female employees. ''

However, she said he liked pretty girls in the office and using them to help get what he wanted professionally.

'He knew how to get permits and was renowned for it. He knew all the people and had all the relationships,' she said.

‘He had women in the office that were petite and beautiful and he would send them down to the city to get those permits.'

🤮 He just wasn’t moved to get permits for his own home though. I still just think the conditions of his home are weird. It’s just not normal for an architect out of Manhattan to live in that dilapidated house. In the very least he could have painted it. My background is Interior Design, I have never seen an architect, builder or developer who didn’t take pride in their work (personal and professional properties).

I think that money was probably going towards sex workers

TOTALLY agreed on this. I've wondered if he didn't buy that home and "maintain" it as he has as some weird type of vengeance against one/both of his parents.

I'm sorry, that mess of a house is just too, too strange. I've seen the inside of the house where it actually looks pretty nice, don't care. He turned his parents' home into the house from Green Acres. And seriously, it really does look like Green Acres house. This wasn't just a byproduct of hoarding, it's not just coincidental with some other factor that the house looks as it does, jmo. It's part of his agenda/vendetta. That guy is driven, he's fueled by really pure hate, again jmo. I wish every day that the only outlet for his hate had been his broken-down wreck of a house.

I am still grappling with the idea that anyone could live with something/someone who was that genuinely dysfunctional and sick and not have some awareness. Is AE telling us she never looked critically at the outside of her own house? What "excuse" did RH have for the condition of that house? Did she even bother trying to get an explanation? Was she afraid to ask for one?

She wasn't afraid to ask for his guns to be removed from evidence...

Looking for insights about this article from Court TV about the Heurmans being swingers. What's your take? If you think this is true could the wife know more about RHs crime than has been discussed.

I’ve often thought, his deep seated anger or hatred for one or both of his parents might actually be reflected in his treatment or lack of treatment to that home. That he takes pleasure in trashing it and watching it decay while he commits unthinkable acts in that home- the home where his anger and hatred was created and cultivated.

It is quite curious that there are virtually no images or details of his mother on the internet. It is also very curious as to why his father, who died in 1975, was listed as living in that house in Palmyra, VA from 1994-2019. We also know nothing about the man that Dolores shared the Palmyra home with, how they met, how he died and how his mother supposedly inherited that home from him after he died. There is no easily found info or pictures of him on the internet, either. That family appears to have many buried secrets.

Dolores seems to have lived with RH and his first wife, too in Fremont NY and in NJ. Who was residing in the current home during those years? His mother sold him the house in 1994 and bought the house in Palmyra, VA that same year. She now, seems to live with RH’s much older sister in upstate NY.

Wow, before seeing your response I suggested much of the same theory re: RH and that house! Great minds and all…
