Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 7 murders, July 2023 #16

April 8 2025
''Prior to Heuermann’s arrest, his daughter worked for his Manhattan architecture firm, The New York Times reported. Following her father’s arrest, she struggled to find a job, Vess Mitev, the attorney representing her and Sheridan, told The New York Times.''

''The children’s lawyer told Newsweek last year that this was a “very, very dark time in their lives.”

''Mitev also told The New York Times in late 2024 that the children continued to be harassed because of the case.''

“Chris can’t even walk his dog down the block. He gets photographed, people stop and take pictures, he’s catcalled, the whole thing,” he said.

“They can’t even check the mail,” he also said. “That kind of scrutiny is not for my clients. They never asked for it.”

Look how these family members suffer because of the revolting choices their father made.

Curious question…. If anyone has the answer. The murderincorp.wordpress seems to have disappeared or become private. I know there used to be a way around the password…. Like clicking a direct link rather than from their home page… But now, nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

"Under a list labeled as “SUPPLIES,” Heuermann allegedly wrote down cutting tools, acid, hair nets, and tarps."

I've thought this also explains his strange hairstyle.

and "The bombshell manifesto included another checklist titled “THINGS TO REMEMBER.” It displayed concerns that “SOUND TRAVELS,” which prosecutors believe indicates the incidents likely occurred indoors."

Remember the neighbors thinking it was strange he watched TV on the front porch or played on his phone in his truck? Could have been just needing peace and quiet in a small house, but to me it suggests RH was monitoring whether his victims were making noise. If he heard sound, he could go back inside and shut the victims up.

Lengthy articles.

'Netflix's Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer is a three-part documentary about the killings in the Gilgo Beach area of Long Island, but it leaves out some key details. There is a lot to cover in the documentary, which starts by playing a panicked phone call from Shannan Gilbert but expands to show even more terrifying events. '

''Two of the most heartbreaking cases mentioned in the documentary were those of a woman known only as "Peaches" and her daughter. Peaches had a tattoo of a peach, prompting the nickname. A few miles away, the remains of a toddler known as Baby Doe were found, and she was revealed to be the daughter of Peaches. The documentary mentioned the two but did not cover the incredible detective work used to learn about them.''

''Once the old guard was no longer in the picture, the new investigation ramped up with remarkable speed. In 2018, a new police chief took over and promptly restarted the investigation. In 2020, authorities released the most famous piece of evidence in the case — the belt buckle found at the Brainard-Barnes crime scene. Then, in 2021, came yet another new police chief, Rodney Harrison. Shortly after assuming office, he announced a new task force dedicated to solving the crime.
Harrison’s task force, working from an abundance of phone records tied to the suspect’s trove of burner phones, identified Heuermann within just six weeks of starting to look for him.''

It was quite good, could have been even longer IMO. The most interesting part was the woman who got away from RH by using a taser - the situation she described did not seem to me to reflect his regular home given that the place she described was sparsely furnished. I’ll have to watch it again. It was puzzling.

The info on RH’s early family life was interesting but somewhat strange given the Serious allegations but no specific sources.

I can’t elaborate on that here due to forum policy.

It was in Philly

Pennsylvania. What a rotten bit of luck. Well, that makes a solid investigation into this victim’s ordeal highly unlikely. Ref: Ellen Greenberg etc.

Which is unfortunate because it sounded like they were in a house dedicated to trafficking and/or breaking-in torture.

On this day in 2011, inside of a plastic bag found in the bramble about a mile east of the Jones Beach Needle, were the extremities of a woman that would subsequently be a match for a torso found in 1997 in Hempstead Lake State Park, and also determined to be the mother of the remains of a #Toddler found miles away near Gilgo Beach.

To clarify some false reporting out there, the skull of Peaches has not been recovered, although the FBI’s ViCAP poster implies that, it has been confirmed by the FBI that the skull was not found (facts matter).

Despite her linkage to a family in Alabama in 2022, her NamUs page coming down for nearly 7 hours last year, and ambiguous statements from DA Tierney, she remains unnamed to this day.

The identity of Peaches is still not publicly known.

yes the Netflix documentary was excellent I thought.

In some instances, yes. Though like most documentaries, they drifted a bit on some topics when they could have given us more hard information.

Regarding Amber Costello, I thought there could be more information regarding how they suspected he was able to solicit her again, after her very scary encounter the 1st time.
