'Both men were raised in suburban Long Island with Heuermann living in Massapequa Park, just nine miles from Rifkin's East Meadow home.

Rifkin, 66, is five years older than Heuermann and graduated East Meadow High School, while Heuermann graduated Berner High School.

Their high school yearbook photos showed an uncanny resemblance.

'Look at them, they look like twins,' Robert Mladinich, author of the book 'From the Mouth of the Monster: the Joel Rifkin Story,' told the Daily Mail.''

'Joel Rifkin and Rex Heuermann both grew up in two-parent homes. Both had difficult relationships with their fathers, were socially awkward as children and were incessantly bullied by their peers,' Mladinich said.''

'As adults, both frequented sex workers, which became a pre-occupation for them. Both [allegedly] committed murders of sex workers in the homes they shared with family members, where on some occasions they dismembered the bodies,' he said.''
''Both men seemingly hunted for the same types of victim - petite and slender - who worked as escorts or sex workers. ''

''She said another commonality in both cases is that the killers dismembered some of their victims which she called 'a unique commonality'.
.... but they don't have coincidentally the same father? ;)

Is the Peacock series the one the family got paid for?
I believe so, right.

The family of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann will rake in a staggering seven-figure windfall for a documentary about the grisly sex worker slayings, according to a report.

Heuermann’s wife, Asa Ellerup, and her adult children, Victoria and Christopher, will receive at least $1 million for the NBC/Peacock documentary, which will follow the family throughout the suspected killer’s trial, NewsNation reported.

Is this gonna be like a "Season 1" money grabber?
Is this 3 parts what AE/family made way over a million on and it's finished?

snip:

"Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets," is set to debut on Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, in June, NBC said. Robert Macedonio, attorney for Heuermann's ex-wife Asa Ellerup, told Patch that the date for the debut is likely June 10.

Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, "Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets" is set to explore "the life and aftermath of the alleged killer in three, one-hour episodes. The series goes inside the Heuermann home and meets with the people who know him, shining a spotlight on a violent double life," NBCUniversal said.'

.... and AE is sometimes present on screen, as Victoria and her brother too, all stating, that they don't believe, RH could have done something so violent??? ;)

Is this going to cause the problems they are having in Boise in case of four murdered co-eds at Idaho University?

Yeah, and I’m a bit perturbed about money grab, too. MOO.

Happy Face's daughter Melissa Moore?

I had posted a year ago asking the question is MM involved with AE's Peacock deal because MM closed AE's fundraiser which she organized when the news about AE's Peacock deal was made public.
I said that either MM was offended by AE cashing in or MM was also involved in the documentary and making money.
Looks like I've got my answer?
IMO

"The series features executive producers: Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, David Karabinas, Troy Searer, Colleen Hall, Jamie Lustberg, Melissa Moore, Jared P. Scott, and Brad Bernstein; the series is directed by Jared P. Scott and produced by Texas Crew Productions alongside 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television and New York Post Entertainment, Variety said."

Oh yeah.
Melissa Moore met with Asa, they bonded then with AE's permission set up the fundraiser which raised about 50 thousand.
When the news hit that AE signed with Peacock the fundraiser was shut down by the organizer, which was MM.
I think it's still crickets from MM on why she shut it down and I came up with 2 possibilities.
IMO:
Due to the timing it could have been that MM, like a lot of people, were highly offended and disgusted with AE for milking the tragedy her husband is accused of creating.
Or:
MM also sold her tragic story to Peacock for the documentary and knew that keeping the fundraiser going made them appear greedier than they were?

Prosecutors urge judge not to vacate John Bittrolff's conviction, arguing in court papers the defendant didn't prove link between accused Gilgo Beach killer and one of his victims....

In Wednesday’s filing, prosecutors argued a different theory that both sets of pants belonged to McNamee and the DNA profile is likely of a man who had sex with her before Bittrolff.
Gray said the Cybergenetics profile cannot be entered into CODIS because the work was not done in an accredited lab and does not meet FBI standards.

She also argued the defense failed to make a valid legal argument for comparison with the Heuermann profile.“Defendant has neither demonstrated a nexus between Rex Heuermann and Ms. McNamee, nor provided an adequate legal basis to perform a comparison of Heuermann’s DNA — which is not evidence in this case,” Gray wrote…

Did MM appear in the documentary that’s appearing on Netflix? If so, did she profit from the program?

It’s a bit weird since comparing sequences couldn’t take more than 2 minutes, 15 if you want to repeat it with different options/flags.

I hate that aspect of the justice process. It’s like bullets found on a crime scene not being permissible for comparison to slugs from other crime scenes.

As long as the sequences remain confidential to all but the it people comparing the sequences at the time they’re doing it, and their every action is logged, I don’t see how this can go on. It’s just crazy.

I’d say any person whose DNA has appeared on more than one crime scene should certainly have their DNA being considered public property. It’s public on thrown away pizza. it can be seized by police when you throw it away along with a girl who has just been murdered.

Unless MM decided to be an "executive producer" on the the documentary for free then yes, she profited.
It is said to be released in June, so I have no idea if she appears in it.
All I know is that she had/has no problem with AE/VH cashing in and standing behind RH/father.
I am leaving her son CS out of this greedy/toxic mess.
IMO

I suspected MM had a reason for being so friendly and accommodating to her Serial Sister AE. Greedy family making money off of their SK family members.
MOO

Revolting. No wonder they had to take him in. Also shows how he enjoys being huge and infringing on pretty petite girls.

When are the post 2010 victims going to surface?
