Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 7 murders, July 2023 #16

Not that we need a reminder.

"They’re dying to get their hands on this stuff."

"Any creepy memorabilia linked to accused Gilgo Beach Killer Rex Heuermann could fetch an arm and leg on the macabre collectable market, according to a well known Long Island dealer who has the world’s largest collection of serial killer items.'

Great observation! And in the same document he lists tape in supplies.

BAGS/TAPE
My understanding was he was using push pins to hold up plastic sheeting in the basement instead of tape so there wouldn't be telltale marks on the walls. from tape residue etc. mOO

From 2023
''Rex Heuermann's 1977 junior high school yearbook is selling on eBay for $995.
A victim advocate says the Gilgo Beach victims' families should not have to watch this happen.
Crime Stoppers Director of Victim Services Andy Kahan says this is probably just the beginning of the marketing or monetizing of the accused Gilgo Beach murderer.
Kahan is trying to stop the practice of selling "murderabilia," which are items that are from or in some way connected to murder suspects or convicted killers.''
"I've been dealing with the murderabilia industry for over 20-some odd years and one thing I've learned is that when who is attached or charged with serial killings, items will be put up for sale," Kahan says.''

Thanks so much.
Wow! So AE was already selling RH's belongings,
Hoping the latest money grab gets picked up by other media outlets

Ebay should hang their head in shame.
IMO

While Heuermann owned the vehicle during the time he is alleged to have committed six of the seven killings he has been charged with, prosecutors do not believe it was used in the crimes. As a result, the jeep was eventually returned to the family since it held no evidentiary value, unlike his Chevy Avalanche truck. A Suffolk County Police Department impound lot number is still visible on the front windshield of the jeep…

"This is a big deal," said David Adamovich, of Freeport, a collector of serial killer memorabilia who is not involved with the Heuermann sale. "Especially here on Long Island. A large collectible, like the jeep, it's an interesting item."

Adamovich, who acquired his more than 9,000 serial killer items when a collector friend died, said he believes the jeep is ultimately worth its book value plus whatever a collector might want to pay as a premium because of its association with the notorious case. Hagerty, a classic car insurance and valuation company, estimates the good condition value of a 1972 M151A2 at $16,700 with sales of M151 vehicles from all 25 years of production ranging anywhere from about $6,000 to $31,000.

"A Suffolk County Police Department impound lot number is still visible on the front windshield of the jeep.Heuermann discussed the military vehicle, which features an ax on one side and a shovel on the other, in an April 2018 deposition he gave for a lawsuit filed against a driver he alleged struck him while he walked home from the Massapequa Park LIRR station in 2017, court documents show. He said the accident left him unable to drive the stick-shift vehicle without feeling pain."I have not driven it in quite a few months," Heuermann told the attorneys handling the deposition. "It was out probably for the first time since September a week or two ago."The registration on the vehicle, which bears Heuermann’s name, expired in 2019. It needs a new battery but otherwise runs, the seller said. The buyer must be able to pick the vehicle and trailer up in Suffolk County, according to the listing. The title of the jeep has been signed by Heuermann, making the sale possible, according to the seller and a Newsday review of the documents."This is a big deal," said David Adamovich, of Freeport, a collector of serial killer memorabilia who is not involved with the Heuermann sale. Yep, it is so weird that people would want a souvenir. I wonder if anyone has bought the house or if it is even on the market? I thought ASA was moving to the SC property but it looks like RH sold it to his brother. Apparently, his brother killed a chief of police when he was coked up. What a family.

Ugh. What kind of human would want to own these things?

I don't have a problem with them selling his stuff.

I don't like how it's being marketed.

They seem to be using his notoriety for allegedly killing these girls, as a marketing tactic.
Yes. They're personal belongings unrelated to the murders and with no evidentiary value.

I would imagine the house is a gut job, if not a complete tear-down. I just wouldn't want to live there, regardless. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it

I agree. It was wall to wall full of boxes. It was borderline hoarder home for sure. I don't even know how they could get all those boxes moved unless the hired people. Asa has a cane. I'm not sure how much her disabled son can do? It will be interesting.

This 1972 Jeep AMC is a vintage vehicle with a unique model design and impeccable make. With a mileage of 522565, this Jeep is an ideal choice for collectors or individuals looking for a classic or military style. The 1972 Jeep offers a nostalgic experience and is sure to turn heads on the road with its cool design and, if you are a true crime buff, this Jeep and trailer have quite a history. The owner was none other than, The Long Island Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann. Mr. Heuermann and family are featured in an original Peacock documentary that premiered June 10, 2025, "The Gilgo Beach Killer - House of Secrets" streaming on Peacock. Being sold together with the trailer, the Jeep comes with a Hard top and soft top, along with all hard and soft doors. There are extra parts stored in the trailer in boxes. Jeep runs good and registration is ready to transfer. Don't be outbid on this one!
