Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 7 murders, July 2023 #16

  • #841
I don't know who supplies my coworker information, but he's convinced the cops found Heuermann because he was editing the Long Island Serial Killer Wikipedia page. LMAO, I know it's not true but made me chuckle.
Just that would suit him very well, IMO! Is it really not true? But one has to know his username to find his contribution - and who would know it.

There seems to be a chance that this might be true. In this article it said his phone was linked to an email with 200 searches on updates of the killings.

“There has been no specific talk with regards to any final disposition of this case,” he said.

Interesting.
I know it's wishful thinking, but a guilty plea doesn't need to involve a "deal." In that case, there is technically not a deal in the works even if the defendent is indicating he might plea out.

Or he could plea "no contest" or whatever the words are when the defendent admits the evidence would convict him but he doesn't take admit guilt. Again, that doesn't necessitate a "deal."

But, I'll believe it when I see it. Onward to the trial.

  • ''WAITING for her workaholic husband Rex to return from work, one balmy July evening in 2023, Asa Heuermann was startled by a rapping on the door, followed by shouts of “FBI, open up!”
“They pushed their way in and asked me, ‘Do you know why we’re here?’” says Asa''.
  • “The woman investigator said, ‘Have you heard about the murders on Gilgo Beach?’ And I said, ‘I’ve heard of them but I don’t know anything.’ She said, ‘Your husband knows all about it.’”

I find that a rather strange response, tbh. If someone randomly asked me if I knew about a well-known crime, I would probably say, "yes."

But she added, "I don't know anything." That seems odd, imo and it sounds a bit defensive when the investigator didn't suggest Asa knew anything about Gilgo.

I'm not reading much into it, but just pointing out it seems awkward.

p.s. Asa was a cute bride and looks happy.

well I think you have to take it in context of her trying to understand why the FBI was in her living room.

Apologies. This man makes me hate him. And he scares me even in photos. I don't want to think about the poor women who crossed his path.

"A Long Islander who placed the winning $25,000 bid on Rex Heuermann’s Vietnam War-era Jeep said he did it to troll the suspected Gilgo Beach killer’s relatives — and won’t be paying them a dime for it.

The family has been trying to sell the vehicle once belonging to Heuermann, who has been charged in seven of the infamous murders.

“You aren’t going to profit off your husband’s murders, you disgusting ghoul,” wrote Jonathan Randall in X and BlueSky posts containing confirmation of his winning bid — as well as messages he claims he received from the seller.'

It's good to know this, otherwise it's easy to think that there is no evidence connecting RH to the other victims, including Tanya(Peaches) Jackson and her baby Tatiana Dykes who were recently identified.
imo

"Tierney has not ruled out Heuermann’s possible link to the other discovered victims but said he put the brakes on further investigation after seven because of the state’s cumbersome court disclosure requirements, which he said threatened to delay the trial indefinitely.

Prosecutors are required to provide defense lawyers with all of the evidence in a case, material that is known as “discovery” meant to ensure defendants are not blind-sided in court.

“We really put a moratorium on our investigation of the case because what would happen is we would continue to investigate the case and then we’d have to continue to provide that discovery,” he said."

This makes zero sense, considering this person just purchased the jeep for $25K. Weird.

He doesn't intend to pay.

Which I think is illegal? If you're high bidder at an auction, isn't it a breach of contract to not pay??

Not on ebay. I have sold stuff and buyers did not pay. All they do is suspend the buyers account and relist the item. They give the buyers a certain amount of time unless you put in your listing immediate payment. But the immediate payment feature is just for buy it now items I believe.

I'm not a violent person. But in these cases, it would be perfect if the torture sites, and the cars where they transported their victims, could disappear. They would no longer exist. I apologize.

I didn't read the entire article, got caught up on the guy's comment.
Trying to capitalize on RH's "fame" is just one of many reasons why I can't stomach his family. Disgusting.

Jonathan Randall, ONE OF US!

Forgive the question, but could someone kindly update me,
since I'm in Italy and have to dig a little deeper than if I lived in the US,
on any actual news regarding the dates of the next hearings or trial?
I already know the DNA problem.

The DNA "problem"... Lawyers have to try, it's their job.
