Montauk Mary does not seem like a viable victim for a child who doesn't yet drive. I agree he could have gotten access to a gun and been able to shoot it.well I was looking for SK's that started killing in their teens and it's not that unusual..but here's what's driving me CRAZY. I could swear Ted Bundy was suspected in the murder of a woman found strangled on her front lawn with her bathrobe belt...but I can't find a thing about it..I tried other SK's and nothing...does anyone know what I'm talking about..? I tried Dhamer..Radar..GR Gary, and a host of others..am I imagining this??
But this victim was not reported missing. How would a young teen find a victim so far from home (for his age) and manage to shoot her and hide her car and luck into killing someone nobody acknowledged missing or knowing? Somebody had to see that she disappeared, and likely would have spoken up to report her missing, or recognize her description, if they had nothing to do with her murder. Maybe they were told she moved away, but once the story was in the paper, wouldn't someone call and say, oh, I thought she was alive and just moved?
I find it hard to imagine how Rex could be a solo murderer of that victim.
It would be interesting to see when Easter fell that year. Was it a HS holiday week? Was his father dead yet?
