She wasn't the boss of Rex, IMO.

I'm not going to ask you for a source because it's as unsoursable an assertion as that she was in a cult. Both are opinions.

But, both opinions can be true at the same time. Asa was likely under coercive control of Rex- there is plenty of evidence to support that opinion. And, Asa is making her own decisions. There is also evidence of that.

Being under the coercive control of another explains behavior, and makes it easier to forgive if the person who did those behaviors regret them and make amends.

I'm not where Mrs. A is in terms of having quite as much grace for Asa in particular. While I think her lawyer took over as her abuser, I still hold her responsible for her personal contempt (IMO) for the victims, and for her complete inability to put her grievances aside when there are murdered mothers. If there is a crash on the highway where a road rager killed another person and caused me to be stuck in traffic for an hour- yeah- I'm a "victim." But when the subject is the killed victim, I don't complain about it. I do judge Asa because except in a few throwaway lines, she seems all about herself.

Has she been used by Rex and Macedonio? IMO, yes. But as far as I know, Asa would not agree with that assessment. This makes her impossible to forgive IMO.

If I was able to edit my post I would happily add, in my opinion. I thought that since I am the author it was implied that it's my opinion. The therapist on Peacock did say Rex is a narc, iirc. The way his family act seems like they were well controlled and it's hard to think for yourself if you had no opportunity. Obviously, this is my opinion.

Did RH perhaps become unbearable at home since 2010, when he stopped his "escapades", because they no longer brought him satisfaction? Did he also stop meeting with SWs? I can't imagine it.

Although I don't think, RH ever stopped murdering until he got caught, his fine ritual: AE/CS out of town ---> RH meeting and murdering a victim ---> AE/CS back from vacation and RH again the caring husband, this fine ritual may have been interrupted, and there had to be found a completely new system (murders despite presence of wife, in a car and/or in another state, disposing no longer at the LI beaches but far away). That may have affected his mood as a husband/father. For me it would explain, why they began to think about divorce. But of course I don't know, whether they couldn't get along since 2010.

Why AE fell in love again, when her husband turned out to be a SK, is a mystery to me.

"Why AE fell in love again, when her husband turned out to be a SK, is a mystery to me."

Maybe she fell in love with RH all over again (wink-wink?) because only she/he knows what she may have known about him, confronted him with then remained silent through the years.
He gets arrested for being a serial killer and her insurance policy was/is by keeping him close/visits him/phone calls he'd never turn on her?
Not saying that AE participated in any of his crimes but if she had evidence that indicated what we now know he was capable of and word got out she knew horrific things about him and didn't contact the authorities no more cash grabs for her and she'd be publicly condemned.

imo
