He was married to AE on April 13,1996.

How was all this information released that it could be used for the documentary?
When RH plead guilty to his 8 murders did that release the investigation/evidence to the public?

I thought I had felt very sorry for their neighbors before but after reading articles and seeing clips from the documentary knowing now that every time they view this horror house the memories of innocent women being killed in there when they were just going about their daily lives and to now know that the woman/wife they may have had some compassion for redecorated the torture chamber her husband dismembered and committed murder in and now announced to the world that she sleeps in there is a bridge too far to warrant any understanding or compassion in my book.

I don't remember if I heard it on Josh Zeman's YT or read it but something was said about RH making a comment about his mental state that April in 1996.
I was just a snip but it stayed with me and sometime today/tonight I will look for it.

and so funny and strangely coincidental that Shannan Gilbert's Mother and Sister also received taunting phone calls from Peter Hackett...but what if it really wasn't Peter Hackett calling ? it's all so strange the way it all dovetails and finds a way to fit together. okay rabbit hole..surely they were able to verify those calls...does anyone remember..? The calls were very similar in my opinion.

Rex had like 100 burner phones or something crazy.

so Rex admitted to KV probably because she might link to his home or to Asa..she could come back to haunt him...something about the case worried him enough to just admit to it and put an end to them finding out something more, possibly about Asa.

I have no idea why no one thinks Rex killed Shannan when stomping around those marshes is literally his thing...with big old duck boots on and his guns and big ole truck. I don't believe a thing he says and I don't think he should be in the clear on Shannan.

I one hand, I'm pretty sure it was Peter Hackett calling.

On the other hand, Peter Hackett and Rex Heuermann both have strange voices. Not just a long Gyland accent. In Rex's case, I feel like it's related to spending money anywhere but on his teeth and home. I have to go back and listen to Hackett again. Maybe it's that they both sound a little drunk?

Speaking of strange voices, whatever happened to those calls to the killing season that sounded EXACTLY like Rex Heuermann, and Josh supposedly had analyzed? It is strange that Josh Z seems to have reporting red lines. He has so much info. He said on his podcast that John Ray is angry with him. Why would John Ray be angry? I think it might be because John Ray feels that Josh has information about the investigation that he is not sharing.

Also, Josh seems to discount everything ad hominem related to John Ray, even though, as the police commissioner acknowledged, John Ray made it possible to investigate this case even when LE was trying not to. I wish Josh would stop fallaciously discounting good information. There is a goldmine in the depositions John Ray obtained, and Josh's reporting is always going to fall flat if he won't get past his personal feelings about John Ray and start exploring the stories.

I wish we could get more information about these calls. Starting with the call that sounded very much like Rex to the killing season.

Asa was extremely motivated to make Rex into a dream come true in her mind, newly housed (with a young child), engaged and pregnant. I'm sure it gave Rex more latitude to say things like, "You aren't going to be one of those nosy wives, are you?"

It's the story of Asa's life. Macedonia also swooped in and took advantage of her, IMO. Her decisions have been ugly and irresponsible, at a minimum. Possibly negligently allowing crimes to be committed or covered up. But bad people also helped her be ugly and irresponsible or worse to meet their own needs.

And children grew up with no mothers or answers because of Rex, Macedonio, and SC corruption. All are culpable.

If only I were a horror film maker, I would fictionalize this so it was a "wedding gift" to them. That when a man confessed to his "girlfriend" about killing one woman, then arranging it to look like a prior murder he'd read about in the paper, she was so rapt, murders became "their" thing. She became the driving force for a lonely, ostracized man. It could be for any reason. He wouldn't have to be a huge, ogre type. It could be some other reason entirely. Just the dynamics of him finally being fully accepted and loved.

The woman would write the HK document. They would select the victims together - that explains why they were murdered on the second or third "visit".

She and the children would go on vacations to protect her and as part of their "Pact". The murders, the videos and pictures would be his "homecoming gift" they reviewed over and over. You remember, the pictures that needed to be destroyed in the HK document? In their pact, he would always protect her and the children.

In a completely fictionalized version, everything was rehearsed. Remember how at the time of his arrest he calmly asked "What is this about?" Rehearsed. The immediate request for a lawyer. Rehearsed. He was prepared. The fictional couple would be too.

Oh, and the FBI's BAU - we all know that is feeding RH's ego. In the fictional version, the male will be happy as long as he is getting attention and conning the FBI -- their superiority reigns. It will be only when the spotlight fades and he gets bored that she fulfills her part of the pact.

In my fictional story, according to their pact, he could only tell the full truth if she were dead. So, after years, when their story has faded from the news and public attention, she commits suicide -- to give him the attention he needs and for her to get the recognition she always wanted as the "mastermind".

But I do wonder in this case if "truth might not be stranger than fiction" and what is really lurking?
